Have you factored in taxes, rent, bills, groceries . . . ? Yeah, one could be making $15 an hour which is $600 a week, but after taxes, take home pay maybe under $500 a week times 4 which is $2000. Deduct 401k investment, groceries, rent, phone bills . . . from it to get the remaining sum of money.

P/S Earning two million naira a month in Nigeria is way better than $15.00 an hour in the US

Example: Amazon in the UK and US will hire just about anyone over age 18 who is in the country legally.

Here in the US, Amazon’s minimum wage is $15 per hour, even for people working from home and it’s $10-11.76 per hour in the UK.
A couple without any higher education in the US legally who are authorized to work can stay home and each work 40 hours a week for Amazon (overtime is optional and sometimes unlimited). So without working any overtime:

$15/hr x 40 hours/week= $600 x 2= $1,200/ week
$1,200/week x 52 weeks/year= $62,400 annually in the household

UK
$10/hr x 40/wk= $400 x 2= $800/wk
$800/wk x 52 weeks/yr= $41,600 annually in the household

Overtime = 1.5 of hourly salary
Amazon Overtime for a Minimum Wage Worker in the US is $22.50 per hour

Amazon Overtime for the lowest paid worker is $15/hour

This fits the definition of having a cushy job, "24m per annum salary."

Since "there aren't always about the legal age but age a person is truly considered to have all the freedoms that go with being an adult," then, maybe, that is why they government want to try the 15 year old murderer as an adult (to attract stiffer punishment) instead of a juvenile.

To each their own, but I wouldnt advise anybody to trade their cushy job in Nigeria for life abroad. A bird in a hand is worth two in the bush.

It varies from one country to another. In the US, an eighteen year old is legally an adult while in Nigeria, I think it is 21 years old. There have been calls for certain juveniles to be tried as adults.
