dimieprincess:You must be a fool for quoting me. How much is a used laptop that will make an Igboman close his shop. Your brain needs to be scan. Just look at his username, you will know that he is not a serious human being |
This story is rubbish. It was just cooked up only to degrade the good igbo people. How can an igbo man who has a shop come and ask you for him to stay in your house? A typical igbo man I know will prefer to make his shop his home if he doesn't have money to rent a house. OK after he ran with your tokunbo laptop, he also closed his shop too. You are a bloody yoloba liar |

IMO STATE GOVERNMENT HOUSE, OWERRI PRESS RELEASE SUBJECT: IMO GOVERNMENT DENIES OWING WORKERS ELEVEN MONTHS SALARY ARREARS Some Patriotic Nigerians and Imo citizens in particular have been inundating senior officials of the Imo State Government with phone calls following reports in some reputable National newspapers including the Vanguard, New Telegraph, Guardian among others, that the Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s government is owing workers in the state eleven (11) months salary arrears or thereabout. The report in question made front page stories of some of the newspapers concerned and as a government, we owe Nigerians the correct information on the workers salary in Imo which is completely opposite of the media reports. And whatever claim we make in this refutal, we stand to be contradicted. Again, in all the reports, the source of the story or the source from where the information in the case of Imo state came from was never made clear and that lacuna also heightened our suspicion that those who lost the governorship election in the state in April 2015, must have volunteered such falsehood. We are not worried about that since we can always state the truth of the matter. We see the whole report as unfortunate and a deliberate effort to hit at the Rescue Mission government in the state. The truth is that Imo state government does not owe the civil servants or the teachers who constitute the government workers in the state eleven months salary arrears and not even two months salary arrears. We are making this claim to be contradicted with verifiable fact. The Imo state government only owes its civil servants the month of May salary. Ditto, the teachers in the state. And the payment for that month is at the verge of being made. We have decided to make this factual claim on the salaries of the civil servants and teachers in the state so that those behind the report can come out with their own facts to back their claim. In the case of parastatals, the government has equally be living up to expectations with regard to payment of their salaries expect few of them where the government’s verification panels discovered irritating padding of salaries for non-existent staff and where high-profiled corruption was uncovered. And the government had for the umpteenth time said it would only pay those in the affected parastatals when the issues in question must have been rectified. So, it is left for those behind the report with some of them quoting a source from the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, to come out and fault our claims or refutal. We would like to be faulted on our claim that we are owing the civil servants only the month of May salary and the same development with the teachers. These are the workers in the state we believe the NLC source quoted in the reports must have talked about. If the newspapers that wrote the story on the claimed debt of eleven months salary arrears owed the civil servants and teachers in the state discover at the end of the day that we are right in our claims contrary to the reports under reference, we expect that as reputable and widely read tabloids, they would massage us by retracting the report at least for the sake of the heard-earned reputation of the Rescue Mission government in the state. The government in Imo state with Governor Rochas Okorocha on the driver’s seat shall continue to be truthful and honest about its claims and counter- claims on issues for the sake of history and posterity. |
PDP are just trying to avoid GEJ clueless leadership. One may ask is Anenih not from south south? |
RUBBISH |
MOD you should confirm news before sending them to front page please. What Rochas said on May 1 is he is owing primary school PENSIONERS 13 months and not Primary school TEACHERS. Get your facts correct before moving news to front page |
Ihedioha Pays Secret Visit To Gov. Okorocha; Pleads For Soft Landing - Governor asks him to apologize to his SSA Media & remain in the race. It was a big shock in Douglas House tonight as Hon. Emeka Ihedioha was spotted there in company of former governor Achike Udenwa. Sources in the governors lodge venue of the secret parley said Gov Okorocha was taken aback when he got a call from Udenwa his kinsman from Orlu Zone and predecessor intimating him that Ihedioha wants him to bring him to see the governor for a private chat. While Owelle Okorocha was still trying to digest the request, a black colored Toyota Avenza, 2014 model, tinted all round drove him and the duo with 2 other aides to government house. Our source said Ihedioha went on his knees pleading for forgiveness that he was deceived by PDP national and his aides. He regretted his political misadventure that has cost him all his savings and political capital. Our source who pleaded not to be named further said, the Deputy Speaker said he regretted not following the way of the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal who is now Governor-Elect of Sokoto State inspite of the governors invitation to that effect in the past. He said Ihedioha confessed that he is aware that tomorrow's runoff is a mere "academic exercise" and asked to be considered for appointment in the new government. He said it will be embarrassing for a whole Deputy Speaker to be an ordinary citizen so soon. Our source who is a close confidante and aide to the governor from Owerri Zone said the governor told Ihedioha that it was too late for him to retreat now as he refused to heed to advise in the past. The governor requested him to openly apologize and compensate his kinsman from the same Mbutu and his SSA on a media, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo who was arrested twice and battered by security men sent by the DS. Owelle was quoted to have said that "Iwe nwanne agaghi eru na okpukpu" but told the DS to remain in the race reminding him that Okechukwu Buhari, the President - Elect had made it known that there will not be appointments for defectors but assured him that he will not be harassed as long as he goes about his legitimate business. The Deputy Speaker our source said the Deputy Speaker wore his usual trade mark green cap left the lodge looking despondent and disappointed and drove off in a haste not to be seen. Our source who had called our correspondent on phone for the breaking news further gave a picture of the meeting to confirm his story.

Igbos in the North to be vigilant, before and after elections · Igbo Governors should assist in evacuating Igbos trapped in violence · Let God and conscience guide whom to vote for Alleges billions exchanged for endorsement by sacked executives Ohanaeze Ndigbo has denied endorsing President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term. They rather asked Igbos to vote whosoever their conscience permits them in the February 14th Presidential polls. Speaking on Thursday with the Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress (IMC) Rev Obinna Akukwe who led a team of concerned Igbo stakeholders to know the direction of Ndigbo in the 2015 Presidency project and the security of Ndigbo in the North especially after the elections, the Chairman of Ohanaeze Elders Council, Chief Mbazulike Amechi described those who purportedly endorsed Jonathan for a second term as “a group of illegal Ohanaeze whose major purpose is to collect and share billions of naira without any negotiation over the fate of Ndigbo during and after the Jonathan era”. Chief Amaechi told the leaders of Igbo Mandate Congress that those that went to Abuja to meet with Jonathan are speaking for themselves and their family. According to him “The basic interest of those endorsing Jonathan is to collect money. They were sharing millions and hundreds of thousands on Tuesday to some persons and we the Elders Council of Ohanaeze are not a part of it. Some persons even got their finger bitten off while some women got their dresses torn while struggling for the money from Abuja. That is not what Ohanaeze stands for” The Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Caretaker Committee, Chief Raph Obioha told Rev Akukwe that “Ohanaeze Ndigbo, of which I am the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, has not endorsed anybody. We have presented four cardinal things that any candidate we must support will do for Ndigbo. These issues include the security of lives and property of Ndigbo, before, during and after the elections. Secondly is the callous neglect of Igbo territory since after the civil war, including the present administration,. Thirdly is the need for Igbos who lost billions of investments and millions of lives to be properly reparated. Fourthly is the political fate of the Igbos after the tenure of Goodluck Jonathan”. Dr Zed Chukwujama, Secretary Ohanaeze Caretaker Committee expressed worry over the fate of Igbos in the north after the elections and told Igbo Mandate Congress leaders “that those who are sharing the millions are not thinking of how to protect Igbo lives and property especially in the North”. Ohanaeze Caretaker Committee gave the leadership of Igbo Mandate Congress a copy of the communiqué of the meeting presently ongoing at Enugu. The resolution of Ohanaeze Ndigbo as contained in the communiqué includes: “Since there has been no concrete agreement with any of the Presidential Candidates on the four cardinal issues of security for life and property of Ndigbo, infrastructural development in Igboland, Reparation for atrocities and war crimes against Ndigbo, at least to the level recommended in the Oputa Panel Report, Ohanaeze Ndigbo is unable to commit Igbo voters at home and everywhere to the blanket support of any of the Presidential Candidates. We therefore advise and guide Igbo voters’ everywhere as follows: “(a) On the day of the election, after praying to God in whatever way you worship Him, listen to Divine Guidance, go and cast your vote for ANY candidate your conscience guide you to” (b) Be vigilant before, during and after the election, make appropriate arrangements to save your life, your family and your property (c) In view of the ominous uncertainties that loom in the air, Igbo Governors should make contingency arrangements, separately and collectively, to evacuate Igbo citizens who may be trapped in areas of violence”. The communique obtained by Igbo Mandate Congress was signed by Chief Mbazulike Amechi, Chief Ralph Obioha and Dr Zed Chukwujama. Ohanaeze Ndigbo Caretaker Committee meeting is still ongoing as at press time. The Ohanaeze Elders Council has declared the Igariwey led leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo illegal hinging it on the expiration of their two year tenure and appointed a Caretaker Committee to pilot the activities of Ohanaeze fo the next six months.. However the Igariwey led leadership has refused to comply with the orders of Ohaneze Elders Council, an issue before the court. It would be recalled that the Chief Igariwey led Ohanaeze Ndigbo had earlier endorsed Jonathan secretly at Aso Villa on the 12th of January with a delegation of some Igbo leaders which include Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, Senator Ken Nnamani, Senator Hope Uzodimma among others. The open endorsement earlier scheduled for Abakaliki on the 14th of January was shelved due to the opposition from the Elders Council. However on Tuesday, they finally made the secret endorsement open at the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Secretariat Enugu.
