NPDVF what of the much anticipated deep sea port that would make Akwa Ibom draw from the second biggest economic sector in nigeria and that would make Akwa Ibom the second most sought after economic destination outside lagos
am aware no stone will be left untouched.I yearn for that port above other things.but you know, ports, etc, are in federal list.am aware our amiable governor and Igbos who are interested in it,are lobbying for it.lets pray and hope that we have it in this administration.

Billyonaire:
What the next Governor of Akwa Ibom State should do;

1. Electricity - The state should invest on Independent Power Plants that will generate and transmit electricity 'sufficiently' for the state. When there is 24/7 electricity there even for a year; the state will become manufacturers destination. The hospitality industry will grow and there will be economy will be robust. Take your mind off the national grid.

2. The State Government should construct turnkey refinery, not the big budget refinery but a turnkey system that is affordable, and use that to generate resources from down stream players that are ready to refine there for a fee. This a lasting way of generating IGR for ever.

3. It is necessary for the State Government to make sure Free and Compulsory Education stays on course, and mostly importantly, every child of school age must be forced to be in class. Illiteracy should not be tolerated.
Thanks bro.The out going administration has done a lot in the area of electricity generation and distribution.though, the source is grossly gas,and you know the problem associated with gas plants(sabortage). But i think more needs to be done in that regard.
As for refinery,i learn Amakpe refinery will be revisited. As for free and compulsory education, its working well, though more needs to be done. Thanks bro.

The victory of Udom Emmanuel has been held by the good people of our dear state.

Many sees his victory as a good thing to happen to the drive/resolve,towards the sustainance of the great development in our state,as champoined by our amiable governor Bar.Godswill Akapabio code named "Uncommon Transformation".

Truth remains that, the man Udom Emmanuel,is a renouned economist, and accomplished banker, with the proverbial a midas touch, needed to continue from where our "uncommon transformer" stopped, and finish victoriously.

The profile of our Gov.elect,
www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/p...

Their is therefore no gain saying, that the development of our dear state,is in a safer hand.

Yorubas i know you guys would want to fight dirts so as to stop this 'true change',with your usual media wars/propaganda,even here on nairaland.By using fake ND/Igbo monikers, but hey,i was rightly informed that your 'case' was comprehensively discussed at the last meeting held in PH.We are ready for your media war.

I was billed to attend that meeting, but i was tightly scheduled.

Let me also encourage the people of both region, that our interest/existence,and how, were discussed at length,as i was rightly informed.

Let me also say that,Igbos are the major beneficiary of the march 28 election,as it rewrote the misconception of our people against them,as championed by the evil yoruba media propaganda since during and after the war.

Its now obvious that the enemy of the 'south',is not the north, but those who always serve as a willing tool in the hand of the north,to strifle the wishes of their co-southern 'ex-brothers'.

South south and south east are two different entities and so shall it remain. If you want our oil pray to God or curse your forefathers for lack of foresight.
[/s]You are a bast.ard.I am a Niger Deltan,and i endorse Lower Niger 100%.
Igbos are not attaching anything.they have oil in 3 out of their 5 states.they are business minded and not parasite like your people.they are christains and we are christains.the last election shows we are in same page with them.so Go and Di.e.

What did you see during the last elections?
If somebody look you straight in the eyes and called you " born throway" will you still go ahead and vote for the person?!

You guys should realise this is Nigeria, you can't become a leader in this country without the support of all the regions, it's the same Northern region that gave GEJ millions of vote against GMB years before, so should ask yourself what changed?!

Even after the realization of Biafra, anybody body that hopes to lead must have the support of the Igbos, the Urhobos, the Itsekiris, the ibibios, etc

Mathematics brothers, mathematics!

In Mathematics,we were thought when a problem is 'complex' we simplify it. It usually involve breaking the problem into smaller parts, and solving those smaller parts.

Nigeria was NEVER one, and NEVER meant to be one.

Nigeria need to be simplified i.e. divided into smaller parts!
Thanks a milion times.
Truth is that,an avarage Southsouthner now knows that our future is quite bleak in the entity called Nigeria.
I took part in the creek struggle before i opted out due to some personal reasons.our purpose wasn't to opt out of Nigeria, but now, with what am seeing, this second phase will leave people in doubt as to what will happen.

Not possible in this time. Even if it were, I don't think the SS can co habit with the Igbos. It's glaring that many SS guys won't like to associate with Igbo. Asari and other South Southerners are identifying with Igbos now cos of how things have turned. That would be one hell of strange marriage with odd bedfellows......Firstly am from Igboland but secondarily sees myself as a Kaduna indigene by association. Don't wanna apply for visa to visit my beloved KD..Pls let's pray for one Nigeria and continue the march forward. God who put us together in this country will see us through.....Thank you.

There's this fact that I know... Numbers count for something. Countries with large population can use that as an advantage to greatness. When you have people you have potentials, the more people you have the more potentials you have. When you are able as a nation to manage the people you have you bring out the possibilities and greatness. Wise leaders do that, look at at Asian countries with little mineral resources but much larger population, see what they have done, see what they have become....

If we can overlook the divide that caused us so much hate, we can harness so much greatness and thrive to become among the greatest nations on the face of the earth
[/s]Just the way Nigeria is bigger the UK,France, germany,S.A,etc in population, but can't match any of them in any form or manner.

1. Since 2011, a lot has changed.
2. Nigerians are now aware of the incompetence of Jonathan.
3. Unlike 2011, APC have a wider and stronger political structures than CPC.
4. More voters, politicians, international communities now embrace the candidacy of Buhari.
5. The 2015 Campaign of Buhari is better funded and has been issue based, unlike Jonathan who spent more attacking the person of Buhari.
6. Buhari has penetrated Jonathan's primary stronghold, while Jonathan has lost ground in where GMB's base.
7. Nigerians are not happy with how things have been handled under Jonathan. Everyone wants Change. Apart from improvements in few places, we can't see any transformation in Jonathan's cosmetics.
8. Buhari has better understanding to the problems facing Nigerian. Untill 2015 New Year Message, Jonathan never accepted Corruption was a big problem.
9. Buhari and his Team have ran a better Presidential Campaign than Jonathan, even with smaller fund. Same thing to expect in the incoming administration.

Therefore this 2015, it is Mathematically impossible for Buhari to lose.

Sai Buhari.
