So you are saying before 1914 there were no yoruba, igbo, ijaw, hausa in the east or other regions of Nigeria...

The problem Nigeria has is corruption and greed.. After 1914, been in control of the country meant controlling the WEALTH of the nation.

There have always been issues between hausa and igbo... With the way people use religion today... Think of how it would have been 100 years ago...
[/s]I av' never any pre-1914 Hausa/Igbo conflict.if you know of any, post the link here, lets know who is lying.BTW,i don't know of any Igbo state that has any direct link/boundary with anything Hausa/Fulani.NIGERIA IS A SHAM!

Its nothing... It just shows that hausa and igbo have historical issues...

As for the yoruba you mentioned... They trained and fought alongside ojukwu... They were not part of the yoruba in the SW...
[/s]Which yoruba trained and fought alongside Ojukwu?.was Ojukwu among the coupists?.
Now you av' been bursted, you av' started saying they were not part of yoruba in SW.if we go by your line of arguement, are you aware that, the Igbos that partook in that coup, are not SE Igbos?.those Igbos, are mostly from the then Mid-west region.why then do north kill every other Igbo?.
Truth is that, the yoruba media propaganda isn't working anymore.we the minority tribes knows better now.

[/s]To you,the pre 1966 killing of Igbos, which happened in more than two different occasions, where Igbos lost their lives and properties,is nothing.but the military coup, which was carried out in good faith, according to the book "why we struck",written by a yoruba man,one of the coupists,is something?.
This what you wrote earlier, perharps as learned from your useless yoruba media then,

.Now,if you had passed the above judgement on Igbos due to 1966,which your two brothers were among, what about the 1945 and 1954 Igbo massacre in the north, what is it?.
Listen,Igbos and Hausas has no historical issues, until what is known today as Nigeria came into existence, where people of divergent opinions, views, culture, etc, were forced together.

In my own view, I think it is similar to what I said earlier. When you trespass other Ethnic group beliefs, norms or mores and treating them badly; not recognising your boundary limit and showing either by act, words or behavior that they are inferior to you.
[/s]Am neither Igbo nor Yoruba, but as a Nigerian,i av' got a say here.Your so called "Ethnic disrespect",which you explained as,"When you trespass other Ethnic group beliefs, norms or mores and treating them badly; not recognising your boundary limit and showing either by act, words or behavior that they are inferior to you",is the most useless post i av' even read.Non of the above,is supreme to the law of Nigeria.i av' seen yorubas always using the statement like,"Igbos are ungreatful, they should respect their 'host',we yorubas 'accomodate' them",etc,in a supposed "ONE" Nigeria?.where the law empowered any and every citizen to live and own property anywhere in Nigeria so far he/she is law abiding?.is their anything like "ethnic disrespect" in Nigerian constitution?.to a yoruba, respect is when you lie down in a mud,and roll yourself there,to great someone, but same isn't applicable me Akwa ibomite, and Igbos. And as a result, you tag our altitude as "proud, arrogant",are you not stewpid?

joeyfire:
TINUBU’S HIDDEN AGENDA; SAMUEL AJAYI

WHERE ARE NORTHERN VOICES? As media practitioners and consultants, we used to do one thing while analysing national issues: who is commenting and who is not. What are they saying, what are they not The aim is to see if an issue initially presented as a national one is actually an ethnic agenda. It is in this context that I have been doing an analysis of the Buhari presidential challenge and I asked: WHERE ARE NORTHERN VOICES? It has been a 'research' I have been doing since January till this year. Granted that Buhari campaigned in the North and pulled massive crowds but where are Northern opinion leaders?

On mainstream and social media, the vehemence of the Buhari push is being spear- headed by Yorubas! In all his official engagements, within and outside the country, check the pictures: you wont find a Northerner behind him.The odd men out apart from South- westerners are John Oyegun and Rotimi Amaechi. Yet you see Tinubu, Fashola, Fayemi, Amosun, Lai Mohammed, Mamora and co. I may be proved wrong, but only once have I seen Tambuwal in photo with Buhari! Kwankwaso has quietly withdrawn himself! Atiku hardly talks even when his boy runs Buhari's media organ of the campaign. Wammako, Shettima, el-Rufai don't talk. While Obasanjo is talking every day, Babangida, Abdusalami, Ciroma, Coomasie, Lawal Kaita hardly say anything. Is there something going on?

I spoke with a Northern senior friend of mine from Sokoto State who used to head a federal government electronic media arm on why the North is not giving the general the media and moral support required, here are his words: "We want power to return to the North but it seems you Yorubas have a hidden agenda with the way your people are pushing Buhari and turning it into a Yoruba crusade." I prodded him further but he politely declined to say more. I continued this 'research' on Facebook. Whenever someone posts a pro- Buhari or anti-GEJ material, I also usually do a demographic analysis of 'likes' and comments and again, I discovered that it is mostly 75-80% Yoruba thing.

Even the Remove-Jega- don't-remove-Jega campaign is PURELY a South-west 'headache'. If you doubt, do your own media survey. Does it mean the feelers are true that most Northern leaders are uncomfortable with the way Tinubu has 'approximated' the change 'struggle'? Are they aware of any agenda some of us are not? I asked these questions because no matter the noise we are making here, high-wire, high stake politicking is going on at the highest level.
The North has long bursted those unclad political greedy folks from Southwest,as having ethnic agenda of returning from back door.Imagine that called Buhari names in 2003,being in same party with Tinubu his worst political rival in Southwest,to support Buhari?.Well, truth is that,North knows better now,and wouldnt want Yaradua situation being masked as "change" again.

If Okorocha believes the PDP is behind Radio Biafra, then too bad.

As far as I can recall, Radio Biafra is calling for election boycott: A call some of us have disagreed with them.
It is politically expedient that we return Jonathan.

Of course, the main hub of Radio Biafra is in London.

Although some of us are not happy with the Director for his violence approach to the struggle, people like Rochas will soon learn that we the Biafrans do not follow personality cults.

Once more, we are calling on all Biafrans to head home!
2015 election is an anti climax.

A Jonathan win is trouble, A Buhari win is also trouble.

Cheers to all.
Yes,i also frowned at the total boycott of the election which they are calling for.I would av' loved that Gej return to Aso Rock, failure upon which everything will be unleashed from all angel. But you see,its a question of being firm, resolute, and resolved ,in ones agenda. The young man Kalu seems resolved in what he wants. You av' gat to hear him bash Gej.He doesnt want to hear anything Nigeria, and hence, neither the election nor Gej,is important to him except Biafsa.I heard him over the radio saying "He can't be fighting to dissolve this injustice upon the Black race i.e refering Nigeria as injustice upon the Black Race, and at same time supporting election in same 'injustice'"
As for the Arm struggle you made mention of,i av' been into Arm struggle for long, especially at the pick of Niger Delta militancy, though opted out at some point. But you must understand, that the Nigerian government wont listen to you, unless you shoot gun.thats why they were begging to negotiate with shekau.

Tribalism is what is killing Nigeria. I'm an igbo, i'm yoruba, i'm hausa, i'm ijaw, i'm this, i'm that. When are we going to see ourselves as Nigerians, as one people? When are we going to put tribal or ethnic sentiment aside and move on as one people? When are we going to love ourselves? When will the tribal hatred ends? Why are we so intolerant and unacommodating? Please let's move on as one. We are brothers and sisters. Let's stand together, let's fight together, and let's live together as one people. In unity we stand.

millstone:
Morocco has recalled its ambassador from Nigeria, accusing the authorities there of using King Mohammed VI in an election campaign.

Its foreign ministry issued a statement, denying the king had spoken by phone to Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan, as had been stated by Nigeria.

The North Africa kingdom denounced such "unethical practices", it said.

Nigeria has denied that the king was being used to win over Muslim voters.

Mr Jonathan, a Christian from southern Nigeria, is facing a strong challenge in the 28 March elections from opposition candidate Muhammadu Buhari, who is popular in Nigeria's mainly Muslim north.
'Astonishment'

The Nigerian ministry of foreign affairs released a statement on Sunday, denying reports that President Jonathan had been snubbed by King Mohammed because he was trying to curry favour with Muslim voters.

"This information is absolutely not correct as the president did in fact speak to the Moroccan monarch... both leaders spoke extensively over the phone on matters of mutual interest and concern," it said.

However, Morocco's foreign ministry responded by saying it wanted to state in the "clearest and strongest terms" that "there has never been a phone conversation" between the two men.

"The king has actually declined the request of the Nigerian government because it is part of the internal electioneering," Morocco's official news agency Map quoted the statement as saying.

"The kingdom of Morocco expresses its astonishment and denunciation to these unethical practices that are contrary to the spirit of responsibility that must prevail in relations between states."

As a consequence Morocco's Abuja ambassador was being recalled immediately for consultations, it said.

If you know how to put yourself in other people's shoe,

You will understand that the efforts that NTA and AIT had put into personal attack on Buhari showed that BON is dead.

Do not think BON has any regulations to uphold or may be only when it is against the goverment in power.

Some of this things are not okay.

How will a documentary showing Buhari systematically turning into a wolf give me 16 hour power supply in my home?

My 10 year old nephew asked me how is that possible? I had to tell him politicians are using this to paint him bad.

While grown up mind who were born before 1980s will understand, many of our pre-teenage children are seeing all these un-called for attacks on TV.

Let us allow our eyes to see clearly that what is bad is bad.
