Good day all. Please after answering and explaining (on the pop up box ) to the statutory question of previous refusal of visa to any country in the application, Is there any need to upload additional letter of explanation regarding that?

Shameless Naira. Hahahaha. Very shameless indeed! grin

MayorOfEdmonton:
Your PoF has nothing to do with your application fee($825), right of permanent residence fee($500) and biometric fee($85).
You only submit bank documents for PoF and pay the others like u paid for WES, IELTS & and will eventually pay for medical.
It is usually advised that u have more than the specified PoF amount to forestall unstable currency exchange rates if you are showing the funds in shameless naira.
E.g: 12,960 x 285 = 3,693,600; exchange rates can suddenly become as high as 295. So it's safe to have like 3.8 or 4m as PoF I think so that no matter the exchange rate when VO decides to work on ur file you will still be within the expected PoF bracket.
Cheers

Please what's the rate for GTB and the limit? Do you know that of U. B. A too? Thanks.

Chenkes:
Use Stanbic instead. Using Oanda, $1000 is about 1340 CAD. Sterling rate all through last week to last night was #472 to $1, while Stanbic was 420. Zenith and GTB have better rates but lower limits

Please I sent an email lipsrsealed

COPR2020:

When they asked for the aforementioned documents, your employer can issue you a salary certificate and you attach LOE to it
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Neam9: 2:54pm On Jul 22, 2020
Ok. Thanks. So I should inform him not to bother about including in the reference letter that he paid me in cash?

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Neam9: 2:48pm On Jul 22, 2020
Yeah, I am attaching salary certificate now though. Is that ok?
COPR2020:

At this point, you provide a salary certificate and attach LOE to it. No one will antagonize you for not stating earlier. Lots of people have complicated their application by adding what is not needed. So always keep it SIMPLE
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Neam9: 2:42pm On Jul 22, 2020
My point exactly! And I think that's why the people who said it should be stated said so too. I've seen so many instances of ADR for pay slips and statements, and honestly I don't have the heart for ADR abeg sad

Otujodaja:
It's true, you need to keep it simple. The problem however is, if your file land in Accra, they will ask for pay slips and bank statement showing salary deposit. What do you do then. Will it be at that time you write and say I was paid in cash?. So stating it is to prepare the VOs mind, just in case. Accra is not fun o
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Neam9: 2:21pm On Jul 22, 2020
True. But what about if they request for proof of payment, i. e bank statements, payslips etc and I don't have these things. And now I already asked my employer to state "by cash" on the reference letter. angry should I just request for another reference without the "by cash" statement?

COPR2020:

It is always wise to keep your application SIMPLE. It is never part of IRCC requirement to state the mode of payment, so why state it. Just give them EXACTLY what they asked you. No jara
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Neam9: 1:17am On Jul 21, 2020
Na wa o, different gist everyday. It was here I still read that it's pertinent for an employer to state in the reference letter that one was paid cash(if one was) and also get a salary certificate.... Which one is not to state it again now... What will one take?

Samgalaxy:
All you need at AOR is a reference letter from your employer. You don't need to state the mode of salary payment, it is not a major requirement. If the VO needs more documents, he will request for it, state the mode of payment would give them more reason for concern

BeuHarry:

Computer generated statements do not require stamps (usually written on the statements). You can use to stamp as someone advised you here, if that will make you sleep better.

All the best!
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Neam9: 7:56pm On Jul 12, 2020
Thanks so much. I will do that.

Zeus04:

I think you should contact your account Officer. They will help u deal with this... I.e.,help you stamp and forward scanned copies to your email. That's how I got mine from Stanbic.

I believe it's safer you provide bank statements with stamps on it, though some VOs accept some without stamps.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Neam9: 6:49pm On Jul 12, 2020
What about the bank's signature and stamp or its not important?

BeuHarry:

Both for POF and salary SOA. Different accounts, same bank
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Neam9: 6:47pm On Jul 12, 2020
Thanks for this. I was thinking of how to scan my 6 months SOA dt might be upto 1 million pages .lol. But please what about when I am also using a Fixed deposit (alongside gift deed which is gonna be transferred at a later date) which I started December last year, is it not necessary I show when the money was taken from my account for the investment? Or just the fixed deposit certificate will suffice?

ednut1:
when using gift deed or sale of asset you only have to show from the date the money entered into the account. The previous months are useless to the Visa officer na

History? They will see what they need while doing your medical that day. Just make sure your BP is normal the day you are going for your medical. Even if, HBP is not a medical condition that will stop you from entering Canada. No dey think about this thing, e go heighten the BP more grin grin
And if there is a problem, they usually tell you. I know a couple of people they referred to a cardio for further tests.
