odebala is not a member of the house. BTW dpp took sapele lga.

Be sure of what u say.
No vex na typo! he is a former member, but if you've lived in sapele you'd know that the lga didn't vote pdp in 2003 and 2007, BTW i didn't say Pdp Won sapele, the result is a reflection of rigging by Pdp.
Politics / Re: Official Thread::: Delta State Election Rerun by nearest(m): 8:23am On Jan 07, 2011
@aisha,  the returning officers in the local govt are now attesting to the fact that ballot boxes were snatched, in Sapele a former member of the house of assembly hon ODEBALA with his boys took all the boxes close to his fathers house to do the tumb printing, even a recently appointed commissioner chief AKPEKI was beaten up when he tried to take the ballot box at UKHEREVIE primary school, so that result of Sapele for PDP is inflated.

Politics / Re: Fg Defends Presence Of Military Men At Phcn Power Stations by nearest(m): 10:44pm On Dec 22, 2010
@petaling: most people that criticize phcn think the three sectors are the same. people only see what those guys at distribution do and think thats how generation workers are. distribution workers don't work, whenever they have a major fault all they do is wait for new units to change the faulty one, thats why there are areas without power for months mainly because of a failed transformer. Also, more than fifty percent of distribution staff are casual workers, they get paid when they deliver their monthly expectations, this account for why most of them want to make money outside official means.

Whatever high cost we might end up paying, i'll prefer to do it and get stable supply, instead of paying and getting nothing! And still end up running generator every day.

All Current Electricity workers that are opposed to this idea should be sent to the black hole to continue their wretched existence there cool
Ibo Man:

Let them privatise.
The fraud , the corruption and inefficiency will be curbed once and for all.
All who know there onions have nothing to fear.
It will be more expensive for the end user if the prospective investor should go into running their
own power lines from street to street. That is the major difference between sale of nitel and PHCN.
GSM has nothing to do with cables unlike PHCN. Power lines and Cables are everything in PHCN
4llerbuntu:

i dont know why those Godforsaken people in PHCN just want to resist change and progress.

the one thing you can guarantee is that NEVER, UNDER THEIR WATCH, will this country ever have stable power, yet these enemies of progress are resisting the sale of the worn down, inadequate assets of that oppobrious entity called phcn.

what are they even scared of sef, if they were actually any good and competent, one would think that they should spearhead the change, but no. alas, once the thing is sold, it will no longer be business as usual for them. vermin

like they now want us to believe that they simply love nigeria more than the long suffering nigerians. this self same scenario played out with Nitel, thank God for the deregulation of that sector, where is the same Nitel today? i remember when being a nitel staff was a post almost equivalent to God.

the days are coming when the ladder carrying, power switch pushing mongrels called Phcn staff will also become nonentities. people of darkness, whom have chosen to ever dwell in darkness, onyeoshi

Why can't the federal govt. follow the example in the telecommunication sector, why are they so much in a hurry to sell?
The major problem in the Generation of electricity is the problem of obsolete parts in the plants, are they saying the plants that can't be run now, which they want to scrap will become very useful to modern turbines? is the federal government saying these parts that can't be sourced now, will become available once the power stations are sold?
Well time will tell the true agenda of those behind this (prof. Bath Inaji)

Politics / Re: Fg Defends Presence Of Military Men At Phcn Power Stations by nearest(m): 1:26pm On Dec 22, 2010
must the govt sell phcn? have they forgotten what happened to nitel when they sold it? what is stopping those that want to buy phcn from building their own power station if they really when to provide power? those that own Mtn, glo and other cdma service provides didn't buy nitel first before they started business, if the govt is serious about providing power they should ask those that want to provide the service to bid for licences instead of trying to buy phcn. there are no modern turbines that will fit the power stations that we have presently, and if the manufacturers of those old tubines don't want to manufacture parts for them, where are those planning to buy phcn going to get the parts that is preventing phcn for fixing their plants from?

Whatever happens, there must be a change in delta, no more uduaghan, roli and vincent, one collecting the federal allocation, the other supplying diesel, and vincent handling contracts, maybe the sudden review of the airport contract to fourty billion naira will be looked into, also the true position on the state's finances.

One day, we will see eye to eye. Everyday can't be quarrel day. wink

The only thing with this judgement, is that its thrown Delta state into serious confusion. I hope the speaker is a very strong man, because all sorts of desperate politicians are going to descend on the state. The judgement has come at the wrong time.

The most ridiculous bit, is that by the time the new Delta state elections are finished in 90 days time, any new governor sworn in would be governor for just two months before the general elections. embarassed
after the re-run, the winner will take a new mandate of four years, right?
