Just connect one end of the cable to the 9 pin port behind your receiver and the other end of the cable to the same 9 pin serial port at the back of your PC.

If it's laptop, then you need a serial (9 -pin) to USB cable since most laptops do not have this 9 pin you have for the STB or desktop computer.

What is the effect of decoder to decoder transfer of firmware if the transfer is interrupted in anyway.

I think both DISEQC is bad, only one port works in both switches, i'll get another one.

My 69x decoder is bad, I tried re-loading the firmware but my system keeps telling me no COM PORT AVAILABLE, and i've not seen someone to help me with unit to unit transfer, I'm using 4622x.

Okay, BTW how do i know if a DISEqC 4*1 switch is bad? I want to add W4 to the set up, both sat just wont show at the same time even if the DISEqC ports are selected accordingly.

Okay! All stations are now showing, i used Lexxbb's method but couldn't get higher than 40%, is it because i'm using 60cm dish?

Use 12562 H26657-1/2 for afria unite tv and 12602 V 26657-1/2 for ben tv, track with my tv tp 12522 H26657-1/2 make sure that u get at least 80% on that tp, u are good to go

I have a situation and i need help, the above tp and sr only gets green signal when my LNBF is at the 6 O'clock position ben tv, OH tv won't show in that position, but when the LNBF is at 3 O'clock or 9 O'clock positions ben tv and OH tv will show, but Africa unite tv won't show, I need help.

If you use alto scan you'll get both, but what i'm looking for is africa unite tv tp and sr, i'm using 4622x now and it has no blind scan.

Anybody still watching this sat should give me the tp and sr of africa unite tv, apart from 12.722 no other tp is working in my decoder.

once again, COM ports are already available on your computer the first few COM ports usually work with printers scanners and other peripherals. The loader software you are using will give you a chance to select different COM ports if it doesn't automatically detect and choose a free one.

check the options of the loader software you are using. also google FTA forums if that is what you are doing and on those sites you will get a wealth of info

This is not an FTA section. By the way your cable is probably wrong and the loader software will give you options as to which COM port to select. Pick beyond number 7
