I don't get why people feel govt should not interfer with the running of football in nigeria,fifa has its rules and in nigeria the constitution is supreme. A bunch of people have mastered the art of perpetuating themselves in office under the slogan ' fifa rules prohibits govt interference in football', they embezzle funds meant for the development of the game, imagin nigeria taking over 400 official delegates to the world cup when other countries took less than 50, and my question is this, is it right for a few to be under the constitution of fifa and not subject to the constitution of nigeria when most of their activities are funded by the nigeria govt? if fifa wants no govt control in football, then it should fund it exclusively, even at that the citizens of nigeria working for fifa with that arrangement will still be subject the laws of the country.

I read every post and i've come to the conclusion that there's no smoke without fire.                                       there are so many issues to be addressed here, foreign delegates were warned by the countries intelligence agencies not to attend the celebration, they passed intelligence info to the nigerian govt, was the info they passed across properly processed? if yes why were there no arrests prior to the explosion, was the govt in the know as to how and where the bombs will explode? if not why was the stability of nigeria risked, with the whole top level personnel of govt present? i think someone is throwing smoke and it won't be long before we'll know what actually happened, that is if we will ever know.

Great news for the govt, they've wanted the fa dismantled and now this fifa ban, but this is tragic for nigeria image!

Some people here don't understand the structure of PHCN thats why you won't appreciate what some of them are doing. PHCN has three companies, viz generation, distribution, and transmission. If you all pour abuse on the distribution workers i won't have problem with that, but not on the generation workers.
How many of you have been to the generating plants recently to see the conditions of the plants that these workers make sure are running daily, most of these plants where manufactured by the germans and spares are no longer being manufactured, yet these staffs are expected to keep these plants working.
Why can't they be paid same salary with workers of NNPC? If government should spend half of what they spend on NNPC for turn-around maintenance for PHCN-GENERATION there will be enough megawatts for TRANSMISSION to transmitt, and maybe the corrupt DISTRIBUTION STAFF will not have excuse of RATIONING of power in keeping areas in darkness.
Finally, military engineers cannot, i repeat CANNOT operate PHCN facilities, these equipments are not modern and the way equipment are expected to be operated on the manuals is not the same on the plant.

So its capello's fault, he should have kept one of them on the bench so that the other is free to play. Gerald playing on the left side of midfield was not good, he kept on playing as if he's playing for liverpool, running all over the play and most times coming in deep to collect the ball which should have been Lampard's job (since Gerald was stationed on the left side he should have stayed there providing cover for cole)

I don't think the bold part of your post is correct, capello just wanted to satisfy two very hard working player (Gerald and Lampard) and just couldn't get a way of playing both of them in areas of the field where they could be more useful.

England has got a massive problem, they ended the first half on a high and returned for the second as if nothing is at stake, there must be something really wrong with them and i don't think its all to pressure from the English media, what on earth happened to ROONEEEEYYYY, the supposed best player this season?
