Eriokanmi: E no get wetin Nigerians with chochocho mouth neva talk on top this man mata. It's easy to accuse men of rape and exonerate women accusers 99% of the time.
As a boy, a grown up lady had raped me in the past. I was in primary 2 back then. She just slept by my side under the pretext of playing with me in the night,my mum wasn't with us. She put my thing inside of hers and I felt so irritated. There are several of such cases but men are always the victims. Irritated? Na waaa ooh! I don't know if I should label my childhood experiences as rape, because I totally enjoyed the moments. |

Let me ask you all, if a gverment official in America were to be suspended for misconduct and the official still self fund them self to an international meeting claiming to represent the country and then in the process deliberately tarnishing America international image, what do you think they will do to such official?
Say they suspend their UN ambassador and she still took herself their and while their try to sabotage their image, do you think Americans will give her a heros welcome?
I think She should be arrested, stripped of all government privileges and access, banned from all government positions, and made to serve jail time. This is a national protocol breach, its even national security breach
She could have easy go on to agree on deals, vote on behalf of the country.
I believe before government officials go outside to represent their country there is always a briefing, what to do, what to say, what position to take on matters, what vote to cast, because they are not their to represent themselves or thei own opinions but that of their country I wish Nigerians will understand what you just wrote here. |

Housing: You've really try but please look within. There are that a naturally lazy, yes but for your man not to standup for against external aggression then two things are involved. 1. May be he sees you as the aggressor.
2. Which I think is applicable in your case is lack of honour, hope you haven't destroy his honours before friends and neighbours. Are all your neighbours, friends and associates aware that you are the breadwinner of the family? Haven't you shown to them that you are the head of your family?
You said he refused to manage a building you built very well by not going there to collect rents. If he knows that all the tenants there are aware that you are the owner and equally aware that he is a deadbeat his honour, masculinity and ability to defend his territory will be seriously affected. Which other proof does anybody need? She has come on nairaland to tear him down with questionable claims of her own excellence. That man is to be pitied because it is obvious he lives daily in the torment of his wife's dishonour. Only VERY STRONG men thrive in the midst of such demonic energy. |

You think the man in question just decided to cruel to his wife? You think the lady from all her story is the only one going through some form of emotional stress? I will not go further than this. ejire042: I recently came across this post that resonated deeply. I feel compelled to share my perspective, as I've experienced something similar. It seems many women risk losing good men due to their own behavior. They try to control their partners, and if the man isn't financially successful, they perceive him as weak and resort to silent treatment. While it's understandable to have financial security, using money to turn your husband into an errand boy diminishes him. You might even push him to the point where he withdraws, like when he refuses to fight your battles with neighbors, likely because he recognizes you're the source of the conflict.
The real issue isn't your husband; it's you. You need to focus on self-improvement and stop blaming him. He will likely be fine without you, but the same might not be true for you. If you find marriage to him stressful, imagine the alternative: living alone. Would that truly be better?
I can relate to this from the other side. My wife once labeled me lazy and unambitious. I knew my own worth and refused to conform to her expectations just to prove something. I wouldn't take just any job to validate my manhood. I felt like a failure, and she found me less attractive. We were on the verge of collapse when my fortunes changed dramatically. Now, things are completely different. My income far surpasses hers. My tithe alone is far more than her monthly income. Now she appreciates her husband.
Your husband is likely a good man who simply lacks motivation, perhaps because you control the finances and make all the decisions. Don't give up on him. Stay with him, respect him, and pray for him. He's not the root of your problems. I don't know you but this your writeup transmits a very peaceful and calming energy. |

concho: Ladies often are guilty of this too
Permit me, my friends, to recount a tale of folly and desire—a tale not unlike those told in the marketplaces of Onitsha main market , rich with lessons for the wise who would heed them.
Two days after my wife departed for Kaduna to pursue her ICAN studies, there came a visitor to my home—Nkechi, a woman whose intent was not merely to plunder but also to sow discord and ruin. Her arrival was veiled in mischief, her motives wrapped in promises and the allure of her charms.
Our accord had been set: a sum of thirty-five thousand naira and a foolish promise to replace my wife with her in the coming year. But Nkechi, in her ambition, sought to hasten the fulfillment of her desires.
Now, let it be known, she was not fairer than my wife, yet there was a power in her form that could enslave the eyes of the unguarded. Her bosom was as mighty as the great reservoirs of Babylon, firm and unyielding, standing as though defying the pull of the earth itself. It was not merely her beauty but the enchantment of burying one’s face in her embrace and the indulgence of her affection that led me astray. That night, I fancied myself a king, foolishly intoxicated by fleeting pleasures.
Our plan was simple: she would depart the night before my wife’s return. Yet, as men are oft tempted by their baser instincts, I yearned for one more night of indulgence. In my folly, I increased her reward to fifty thousand naira —a testament to the power her charms held over me.
But as all secrets hidden in shadows are eventually revealed by the light, so too did my misdeed come to light. No sooner had she departed than my wife returned. Her first concern was for her treasured wig, valued at six hundred and fifty thousand naira . Before I could feign ignorance or swear by the gods of our fathers, there emerged from beneath our bed an unholy witness—a strange garment that spoke of another’s presence, a lady’s pant
By the dawn of the next day, my mother and elder sister were seated in my home, their expressions stern and their tongues laden with admonishment. The matter did not end in divorce, yet it was the day I swore an oath in my heart: no longer would the lure of abundant bosoms guide my steps astray. For fleeting pleasures are but traps for the unwary, and the cost of folly is always greater than its reward.” Enjoyed your writing pattern. |

Amumaigwe: The skill and mindset needed to be accountable and diligent to grow a business is the same needed to function as a wife. I beg to differ. Business requires a level of ruthlessness following some predetermined rules of success. Marriage on the other hand can be very dynamic. If the man fell in love with her business skills I wonder what will happen in the event of pregnancy, sickness or weakness when the woman can't function optimally. Maybe he will employ another wonderful sales girl that he will eventually marry later. Don't get me wrong. I am for couples establishing and running businesses. But a standing business followed by a sales girl and ending in marriage rings all the negative bells for me. After marriage he is no longer her boss but her husband. Just wondering if the man can cope with the drastic changes that are about to manifest. |

franchasofficia: You see how Putin is making deliberate efforts to reintegrate Chechnya region fully into the Russian federation through reassurance of love and wholehearted acceptance even though Chechnya region have been agitating to completely secede from Russia for decades? This is how a sensible leader or President responds to internal national crises.
But take a look at the failed, corrupt, visionless Nigerian Presidents starting with that pretentious corrupt Fulani man called Buhari to the present Lagos looting machine. All they do is to send mentally unstable Nigerian Jenjeri soldiers to the Southeast to intimidate, harass, malign, torture, dehumanize, maim, kill people and destroy properties in the Southeast region in the name of trying to suppress their agitation to secede from Nigeria. A tactics that has never worked since the 1960s yet these clueless black leaders failed to learn from history.
You can't kill an ideology with military force, especially one that has to do with internal cry of political marginalization and injustice, you will rather cause more harm through the use of military force.
Russia a more powerful nation with all the required military might to crush this Chechnya region agitating for complete secession from Russia have been unable to kill their agitation to completely leave Russia but some clueless corrupt Presidents of a 3rd world country called Nigeria foolishly believes that the only way to stop Igbos from agitating to leave Nigeria is to use military force and their ignorant hate-filled bigot supporters continue to cheer them on foolishly, instead of addressing the issues that Igbos have been complaining about for decades as a way of pacifying them to shelve their quest to leave the failed Nigerian union.
As Russia under Putin have realized that the only way to be at peace with the Chechnya region is to embrace peace, reassure them of Russian people's absolute love and care, I believe a sensible President that would do same in Nigeria is coming
God bless Professor Yemi Osinbajo that applied absolute wisdom in handling this issue in Nigeria when he acted as President when Buhari traveled abroad for medical treatment during their regime.
Well done Putin Only very few people like you in this forum will write this long treatise without grammatical blunders. Well done. |
