Business / How Brand Advocacy Marketing Can Increase Your Profit by needmyservice: 2:36pm On Aug 28, 2017
Social selling is when social media is used to sell directly to the consumers. Social media helps in increasing brand visibility and direct interaction with the prospects. Such selling practice reduces the steps in the sales cycle making it a more efficient sales practice. Quality content can help in effective brand advocacy marketing and selling.

Josh Zerkel, Evernote says,

"When it comes to sales and marketing, I think it's helpful to make sure there's an open channel of communication so that collaboration can occur."

Advocacy marketing is an efficient tool to keep employees emotionally connected and target the appropriate audience to promote the brand content on social media. As Kristin Kaufman - the founder of Alignment, a leading business coaching and consulting house has rightly said, "Success comes from within."

Employees who are already a part of your organization can boost your market visibility with minimal efforts. Here's how employee advocacy marketing can increase your profit:

1. Cost Effective Social Visibility
Social media is being leveraged to find the right prospects, build a trust and ultimately achieve sales goals. Such a sales technique generates better leads and shortens the sales cycles. According to Statista, social media marketing budgets have doubled in the past two years from $16 billion in 2014 to $31 billion in 2016. Though organizations are investing huge amounts in social media marketing, it returns is still a worry. Employee Advocacy platforms can help organizations share a brand message for free instead of paid methods.

2. Reduced Cost of Engagement
Research has shown that disengaged employees in the Nigeria. add approximately N350 billion worth of lost productivity per year. Engaged employees consider their workplace an opportunity rather than an obligation. Employees who are disengaged need to be motivated always to perform. Employee Advocacy programs can provide more engagement opportunities by making employees as ambassadors to promote the brand. It creates a feeling of belongingness among employees.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How To Identify A Scam Interview Invitation by needmyservice: 9:23pm On Aug 25, 2017
Hmmmn
LaurelP:
I have seen so many Nairalanders complaining and lamenting their ordeal in the hands of fake scam companies who invite people for interview only to introduce them to fake drug marketing business.
I'm doing this not only because these companies waste people's time, energy and T-fair going to such interviews, but also because most of these scammers extort money from hapless job seekers thereby making their suffering times two.
Imagine a scammer extorting #10,500 from a graduate who have been unemployed for years, not to talk of the transport fare wasted going to such fruitless interviews or job chat as they usually call it.
Some people even borrow money to pay these sheep in wolves clothing, who promise them heaven on earth. Some will tell you that you will make half a million within 1 month and all that. If you're not careful, you will take a loan that you will not be able to repay thus causing embarrassment and lack of rest of mind. An unemployed person should have only himself to worry about, not having debts also.

So I believe that if we are properly guided, we will not fall into the hands of these scammers.
Having said that, there are ways by which one can identify a fake or scam interview invitation and there fore avoid such waste of time and money. The good thing is that most of their messages come in the same format, so you will know its fake!

1. The message does not bear a company name: most of these scammers won't include their names on the message you will receive. All you will see are the address, the time and date and a phone number. A genuine company will not hide its identity from a potential employee.

2. The message will say "interview/job briefing": whatever job briefing means I don't know!
3. You will see a code or reference: something like "HR=0056" or "REF=002". This is an indication of the code number of the person who invited you to the "job briefing".
4. It will contain a phone number: this is the number of your referer. Most genuine companies don't give phone numbers.
5. You will see HR Admin in the message instead of company name
6. If you call their number, they will be reluctant to give info on the company.

And pls, ignore those people sharing job flyers on the streets, and those ones they paste on walls. Those are scammers and some ritualists too. And also most of these so called agencies are avenues for duping unsuspecting job seekers. Pls shine your eyes well well.
I will post the names of some of these fake companies/ agencies later.

Pls if you have any experiences inthe hands of these scammers kindly share it here so that others can learn and avoid them too. Thank you

Cheers!

Business / How To Avoid Being Scammed Online by needmyservice: 4:56pm On Aug 24, 2017
1. Know who you’re dealing with
Try to find an artisan physical address (not a P.O. Box) and phone number. With internet phone services and other web-based technologies, it’s tough to tell where someone is calling from. Do an online search for the company name and website, and look for reviews. If people report negative experiences, you’ll have to decide if the offer is worth the risk. After all, a deal is good only if you get a product that actually works as promised.

2. Don’t send money to someone you don’t know
Not to an online artisans/craftsman you’ve never heard of — or an online love interest who asks for money. It’s best to do business with artisans you know and trust or the ones with good reviews. If you buy items through an online auction, consider using a payment option that provides protection, like a credit card or pay on delivery.

*Generally, Don’t pay for any service until it is being rendered.* Read full post - http://needmyservice.com/how-to-avoid-being-scammed-online/

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Why Become An Entrepreneur by needmyservice: 2:22pm On Aug 24, 2017
Thank you for this wonderful comment of yours..But you are mixing the point. Why you should become an entrepreneur is what i stated here. Not difference btw an entrepreneur and a business man. Moreover, u cant become a business man without being an entrepreneur. You con only lose sight or focus of why u became an entrepreneur and let Money/Profit outshine it.
majekdom2:
All of these reasons will make a failure. There is a clear difference between an Entrepreneur and business man these days. Institutions are beginning to see the clear difference. Over the next decade, It will be obvious they don't mean the same thing. An entrepreneur is not about profit or money but about the solution, about the problem he is out to solve. If money comes, fine, if it does not, fine also but most times, money comes because he is solving a problem check out successful entrepreneurs that are billionaires today. It was the passion for the problem and not money i.e Bill Gates, Mark.. do you know someone offered mark some money to buy the company when it was worth nothing really. He declined and said, if it's bought, the business will be more of money than purpose, shareholders returns and as such they will do so many things that will kill the purpose.
A business man on the otherhand is out to make profit solely. The customer is important but the satisfaction does not matter. A typical example is Dangote.
So, you see. You can be successful as a business man and entrepreneur. What you are preaching is business not entrepreneurship.
Jobs/Vacancies / Why Become An Entrepreneur by needmyservice: 10:31pm On Aug 23, 2017
A recent survey found that more than 70% of people want to be some sort of entrepreneur. Becoming an entrepreneur is a sought after job for many reasons, including pride, purpose and possibly money. Starting and running your own business on a day to day basis is no easy task, but it is one that is truly worth the effort.

So why should you consider becoming an entrepreneur?
There are many reasons why you should consider taking that giant step and creating your own business. Here are just a few of them:

1. Autonomy- running your own business allows you to be in charge of your own destiny. It also helps you to avoid getting stuck in the “daily grind” or the “rat race”. For many people running their own business lets them have a career that is self-sustaining.

2. Opportunity- Being an entrepreneur opens up a whole new world of opportunity for you. You will have the opportunity to do anything that you want in life. This means you can choose to spend your life changing the world for the better, or you can live the type of life you want. Few other career choices can offer this kind of opportunity.

3. Impact- Many people who work for other companies truly want to work hard and help that company to succeed, but few are actually able to have such an impact. When you run your own business everything you do will directly impact the company, which can be very rewarding.

4. Freedom- this is the answer most people will give if you ask them why they want to become an entrepreneur. For many people the idea of doing what they want and how they want to do is the most compelling reason to take the risk and run their own business. It is true- having freedom in life and career does make a huge

Business / Five Reasons Your Business Needs A POS Machine by needmyservice: 6:01pm On Aug 23, 2017
There are businesses or stores that are skeptical about using a Point of Sale Machine because of trust issues, the bank charges, and the expenses involved in getting one. Regardless, what they don’t know is that there are so many advantages to using a POS machine especially if you are doing a business that involves cash.

It is safe and secure

It is very risky to have physical cash in your store because you never know what will happen. It is better to be safe than sorry. In addition to this, it is very safe and secure because the likelihood of theft is very low.

Business / How To Build More Connected And Inclusive Cities by needmyservice: 11:06am On Aug 23, 2017
When thinking about the cities of the future, I know that they will be more connected, and I strongly believe that they must be more inclusive. We can’t have the Internet of Everything without the Inclusion of Everyone. Already today, a growing number of cities are using smart technologies to better connect people to places and to each other – and more importantly also connecting people to opportunities for better and safer lives.
Unfortunately, what still causes a significant amount of friction in our cities and prevents inclusive growth is the dominance of cash. In fact, close to 85 percent of all consumer payments in the world are still done with cash or checks. This means that far too many people are trapped by default in an informal economy. They lack the financial services to guard themselves against risk, save for themselves, plan for their children’s futures, and build better lives.
Two years ago, Mastercard set a global goal to bring 500 million people into the financial mainstream by 2020. And we’re well on our way to doing that. In just a few short years, we have helped connect more than 300 million people through partnerships with banks, governments, retailers, and NGOs. We’re also working with our partners to enable and grow 40 million small merchants and micro-entrepreneurs because it’s not just individuals that are too often trapped in a cash economy – stores lose billions of dollars every year to leakage and theft.

Jobs/Vacancies / Seven Things Nigerian Students Can Do While ASUU Is On Strike by needmyservice: 11:21pm On Aug 21, 2017
It has been a few years since students in Nigerians had to deal with long-term strikes; and just at the moment we thought the era of students having to stay an extra 2 to 3 years in school due to unnecessary strikes by championed by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) was over, they strike again.
It certainly felt like Deja Vu when the National President Of The Union, Dr. Biodun Ogunyemi, announced this on Monday at a meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) of ASUU in Abuja that there would be an indefinite strike and that during the strike, there will be no teaching, no examination and no attendance of statutory meetings of any kind in any of the union’s branches across the country.
There is some value in ASUU going on strike. They hope that issues such as payment of fractions/ non-payment of salaries, as well as Earned Academic Allowances (EAA); refusal to release the operational license of NUPEMCO; and the non-implementation of the provisions of the 2014 Pension Reform Act with respect to retired professors and their salaries, will be sorted.
It is easy for affected students to get into a lazy mode, where they sit around doing nothing or just meshing the entire time into one long continual nap fest…wasting valuable time and making no positive strides in their life all through the period of the strike.
If you are one of the affected students and you are wondering how you could possibly make this “indefinite” time worth your while, you may want to consider a handy list of helpful suggestions.

Jobs/Vacancies / Ways To Start A Business While Working A Full-time Job by needmyservice: 12:14pm On Aug 21, 2017
It’s not as impossible as you might think to start a business while working a 9-5 job. There are certain ways to make it work and here are 5 ways to start a business while working a full-time job.

Be Committed

Commitment is one of the major things that will help you get through the hard and difficult times of starting a business while working a full-time job. To help with commitment, you can write a list of all your necessary activities and prioritize them. Try to lessen your involvement with or the time you give to activities that are not very relevant, and invest that time in your new business venture. It might not be the most convenient thing, but you have be determined to sacrifice as much as you can to make it work, without jeopardizing your full-time job or spreading yourself too thin. This is why prioritizing your activities is very important.

Consider Your Strengths, Interests and Weaknesses

To help you successfully start a business while working a full-time job, you should take an inventory of your strengths, interests and weaknesses. Your strengths and interests can culminate in you having some of the necessary skills to drive your business success. For the skills you don’t have but are necessary for the success of your business (in other words, your areas of weakness), you can take time out to learn the skill, or outsource or hire someone else who has the required skill and can help you pick up the slack.
