No, a divorced pastor SHOULD give marriage advice. You know why?

Because the counsel you recieve from your ordained ministers in their capacity as priests or prophets, has got nothing to do with their sanctity as individuals (that is if at all getting a divorce can make anyone unclean in the sight of the lord), but has everything to do with god's promise to you that he will be there for you in your time of need. The bible says even if you are unfaithful, he will always be faithful because who he is, is not dependent on.who you are. 2 Tim 2:13. He also told the ministers not to worry about what to say when you, Negroid001, goes to them to seek advice on issues. He said whatever they will say will be given to them because what they will speak will not be their own words, but the spirit of god speaking through them. Matt 10:19-20.
I get your point.
I'm not religious. Imaginary principles don't work for me.

But i get what you're trying to say now.

I want to ask a question.
Would you let a surgeon with mortality rate consult for you, let's assume you have a life threatening emergency?

Why do you have the habit of throwing words around, words whose meaning you do not know!

What is incoherent about what I wrote?

I started by giving a definition some of thw strong terms you used to describe the response of mine you quoted originally, and then proceeded to ask you to SHOW US how those words you chose describe my r
post.

From there, I also asked you to show us how a second wife can ruin you. Lacking any cogent counter response, you resorted to ad hominems.
You've strayed from the main topic. I said a divorced pastor shouldn't be giving marital advice.

To twist: to change information so that it gives the message you want it to give, especially in a way that is dishonest

Also,
Nonsense: spoken or written words that have no meaning or make no sense.

So, point to what I have said, and show to the world how it is a 'twisting' of the bible, or how it is 'nonsense'!

Show, if you can, how a second wife can ruin anyone? If anything, according to the bible, the son of a second wife, Rachel, is the reason why Jacob and his entire family got saved at the time of famine and distress.

Incase you feel oh ''Rachel was the 'original' wife and that's why he son was the one to save Jacob at his point if need'', well, let me tell you that the son of Leah, the first wife, Judah, was not just the lineage Jesus came from, but he is also the root word for which the people of Israel and their religion became known: Judaism, Jew!

The fact that Jesus came through leah, means that Jacob's marriage to Leah was blessed ny God! Bible says in Luke: ''blessed is the womb that bore you, the breast that suckled you...'' By saying so, the bible is basically saying: Jesus' lineage is blessed, including his paternal side which goes up to Leah, the first wife of Jacob!
@DTruthSeeker @Donnie @Joagbaje
Your typo is incoherent. Try structuring your words well. Too lengthy, go straight to the point. Make it short.

So someone close to me died and her body was deposited at the morgue and luckily for me, the place is just a few step from my friends place ( I often sleep there).

Got there, I meet the attendant and it was only one guy on duty. I was sho, only you dey manage all dead body here, na boss you be oo.

I was leading the way and he told me to wait outside while he enter first and signal for me to come later.
I sha allow him to lead and wait at the reception with my friend( baba dey fear give excuse).

Few minute, he told me to come and I obliged. Omo corps was littered everywhere. Normal local morgue oo. Formalin was used to persevere all of them and they are all of different size and shape. I knew I was going there to see some cadavers, but when I got there, a different reality was dawn on me. If is should count they should be more than 400. He showed me her body and I told him okay let's go. I spent less than 2 minutes, not because I was afraid but the stench be killing me.
After that incidence, I see life from different perspectives. Like, at the end of the day we all equal. Omo, there is no class or status there. Everyone is equal, naked and laying next each other...

Just try to enjoy life while you are alive, try all your possible best to be happy with/without drug. Spread the happiness, if na joint share am and food or update.
Had a similar experience. Didn't go to the morgue. We had to bury a friend ourselves, bath for him, buy casket, ropes and even dug the grave. Yo! That's the day i became a man.

My perspective about life took a different direction that day.

It shouldn't be about sex alone. There are personality traits a good woman should have that the man should find useful.
These are the things we talk about when we say what are you bringing to the table.
It doesn't have to be your body. It doesn't even have to be money.
It can be any of the following:
1. Great companionship
2. Be a trusted Confidant, one on whose shoulders he can lean , cry, get succour
3. Dependable ally: Be his friend, his personal person, his highly dependable friend who will always be there for him even when he messes up.
4. His finance manager
Most men don't know how to spend their resources.
Be that woman who can help him organize his finance.
Ensure he can trust you with his businesses, his income, his resources.
He should feel comfortable talking about all money related matter with you without thinking, of the billing you will mount on him.
5. Be intellectually sound.
Be someone he can communicate with at his level of thought.
It shouldn't be like a university graduate having a conversation with a primary school pupil.
He shouldn't be scared of raising intelligent conversations with you.
6. Be his peace giver
Men love people that assure them of peace.
Give him peace.
Stop that evil nagging habit. Stop that mode swing shit.
Be a human being , as in a reasonable human being without placing all your life burden on him.
7. Reliable wife , Wonderful mother.

If you can offer this. Your man will never see you as a pest.
You already brought value to the table.
Well said. What are the odds of finding someone like this tho?
Especially in this monetary benefits dominated side of the world.

The reason is: the minister is the mouth puece of god. The bible says: when the time comes, do not bother about what to say for it will be given to you by the spirit of god. matt 10: 19-

So, your god giving you the right counsel through the mouth of any preacher, is not about the preacher's sanctity, but about god's faithfulness that he will give you counsel when you need it. He says even when you are unfaithful, I will always be faithfu anf cannot change from being that wayl! 2 Tim 2:13

You've not given a valid explanation. You're just quoting nonsense.

Christianity Etc › Re: Fact About Poverty by Negroid001(m): 4:04pm On Mar 08, 2024
Jokanem:
Despite well-meaning efforts to solve the problem, there are millions of people around the world living in poverty.

How can the poor be happy?

Many people believe that happiness and fulfillment are achieved through material prosperity and that real success depends largely on how much money a person has. With little or no access to basic education, quality health care, and other benefits, those trapped in poverty are not expected to have a happy and satisfying life.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS
The Bible teaches that real happiness depends, not on one’s economic situation, but on one’s spiritual well-being and relationship with the Creator. The Bible says: “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.” (Matthew 5:3) Regardless of their financial status, those who are aware of their spiritual need are moved to seek God’s thinking on matters and can thus learn Bible truths that bring real comfort and peace of mind. That is what brings true happiness.

Those who understand and follow the Bible’s counsel are better equipped to deal with poverty. For example, Bible counsel steers people away from harmful habits, such as the use of tobacco and the abuse of alcohol. Practices like these waste money and potentially result in the need for expensive medical treatment.—Proverbs 20:1; 2 Corinthians 7:1.

The Bible also cautions against the damaging effects of greed and materialism. (Mark 4:19; Ephesians 5:3) Such counsel can help a person avoid wasting money on gambling or developing a “love of money,” which the Bible describes as “a root of all sorts of injurious things.” (1 Timothy 6:10) The Scriptures warn: “Even when a person has an abundance, his life does not result from the things he possesses.” (Luke 12:15) Simply put, no amount of money can buy life itself. On the other hand, acting in harmony with the Bible’s wise counsel makes life meaningful and results in genuine happiness.

While those living in poverty may have to struggle to get food, clothing, and shelter, they can find considerable happiness by cultivating contentment, focusing their lives on pleasing their Creator, and living in harmony with his will. They recognize the truth of the Bible’s promise that “it is the blessing of Jehovah that makes one rich, and He adds no pain with it.”—Proverbs 10:22.

KEY SCRIPTURE: “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.”—Matthew 5:3.

Will there ever be an end to poverty?

While human relief efforts have been unsuccessful in bringing the problem of poverty under control, in due time, God will give attention to the root of the problem—the tendency of selfish people and governments to look after merely their own interests. (Ecclesiastes 8:9) Our Creator will replace human governments that are driven by self-interest. His Kingdom, or heavenly government, will provide generously for all of earth’s residents, without discrimination. The Bible explicitly promises that the King of God’s Kingdom will compassionately address the needs of the poor. “He will rescue the poor who cry for help . . . He will have pity on the lowly and the poor, and the lives of the poor he will save.”—Psalm 72:12-14.

The earth will be a true paradise with housing and food for all, without a trace of poverty. In the Bible book of Isaiah, God promises that his people “will build houses and live in them, and they will plant vineyards and eat their fruitage. . . . The work of their hands my chosen ones will enjoy to the full.” (Isaiah 65: 21, 22) Instead of struggling to eke out a meager existence, all will enjoy “a banquet of rich dishes” and other good things provided by Jehovah.—Isaiah 25:6.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Reflecting on God’s promise of a poverty-free world reassures those living under oppressive conditions that God cares about them and that the end of their struggles is in sight. Focusing on such a hope can give a person strength to endure difficult conditions now.

KEY SCRIPTURE: “He will rescue the poor who cry for help . . . He will have pity on the lowly and the poor, and the lives of the poor he will save.”—Psalm 72:12, 13.
