Hi guys, Chukwuēmēká here. I'm Digital marketing expert and Copywriter. I also teach small businesses in Southeast Nigeria how to grow their businesses through proper branding, internet marketing and the use of digital technology. Early this month, I had a contract to teach the management and staff of a Newspaper corporation based in Anambra State (It's actually owned by the state government) on Productive online journalism, branding, digital marketing and website monetization. Apparently, the MD was impressed by the impact of my training, then he made me an offer: "What will it take for you to be our consultant," he asked. You see, I've always worked on a contract basis, and he said they can't afford to pay me on contract. Now, my question is this: How do consultants charge their clients? Is it per consultation? (Which might not go down well with my client) Is it per week? Is per month? (Which I don't really like) What's the best payment schedule for a consultant? I need answers from experienced people, please. |
If you're an Entrepreneur, a Professional (Barrister, Doctor, Engineer, Writer, Plumber, etc.) - or Politician and you don't have a strong online brand, the Lord told me to tell you something today, " Rise Up Dry Bone! Rise Up!" Having a strong online brand for your business (and career) means that you should have a professional and search engine optimized website, strong social media presence, and an effective digital marketing strategy. You don't want to underestimate the importance of taking your business online. ============================= I believe the 3 world richest men will educate you better: 1. Jeff Bezos, the current world richest man owns Amazon. It's the largest retail market on earth, but it's purely based on the internet. Amazon is worth several billion dollars (don't ask me how much, fear dey catch me to talk am). 2. Bill Gates, the 2nd richest man in the world has been in the No 1 spot for many years. His business is a tech business that also deals with internet. Did you know that internet explorer browser, Edge browser and Bing search engine are all owned by Bill Gates? 3. Mark Zuckerberg is the 3rd richest man in the world. He founded Facebook in 2004; Facebook didn't make any money till 2009. Yet, it has overtaken several businesses that are many years old (including our beloved 30+ years old Dangote PLC). Zuckerberg is worth $75 Billion. Yeh! My chest! - the money too heavy Chisos! What do they all have in common? THEIR BUSINESSES ARE FULLY ONLINE! When I first talked about this in a seminar, a student asked me, "What about politicians, will the internet benefit them?" Then I replied, "Trump and Buhari both won their elections by taking their campaigns online. Trump used Twitter and Buhari used blogs, Facebook and Twitter." ...and that's nothing, but the truth. The internet is for everyone! You see, the internet is not just a gold mine; it's raw wealth! But there's a technique to tapping the huge income potentials the internet can give you. Fortunately, I know how to get you to successfully and easily cut a huge chunk of the pie. That's what this 'short' post is all about. How can we be friends and I've not contributed to the growth of your business or career? That's not cool! What are friends for if not to help each other up? Therefore, I ask you to contact me today for a free training and consultation on how to grow your business (or career) online - and make much more profits today. More profits equals more money and wealth. I'm sure you want that, don't you? I can help you get that today. 2018 is not over yet; you can still make a great deal before it's over. Don't believe me? Well, you can't know until you try. ============================= Why Should You Believe Me Anyway? Because, I'm the new business Super hero in Nigeria. Trained by gurus such as Bob Bly, Eleanor Goold, Joe Sugarman, Nnamani Czar Anikulapo Nonso and Uche Moses on Copywriting and Digital Marketing. Also taking a Digital Marketing course currently with Google Inc., even after lots of experience in the field. I've come to save entrepreneurs and professionals from the cage of old traditional ways of branding, marketing and running businesses (which is no longer effective, by the way). Am I Qualified? Well, you'd be the judge of that, but due to my indepth knowledge and experience, entrepreneurs and professionals seek my skills and advice. I've lectured several businesses on Branding, Digital Marketing, Website Management and Website Monetization - including Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation (publishers of National Light Newspaper). Read about it here: https://www.nationallightngr.com/2018/11/08/national-light-holds-online-journalism-training/ ============================= I would love to make my services and knowledge available for you too my friend. ============================= Contact me for free training and consultation on WhatsApp @ https:///BR6OviJ0JgJK0PLJAoxgCk Or Call +2348107094689. Here's How You Can Get One Month's Worth of Blog Content in 7 Days. Hello friend, Chukwuemeka here. I have a story to tell you. In my days at the University, I struggled with so many things - family troubles, faith troubles, school troubles, and the worse, money troubles. I under-performed in my academics, because I had no money; plus I suffered depression for lack of productivity. The problem got worse in my 3rd academic year - I had carry-overs. I had to think fast. How do I solve my money problems and deal with these carry-overs at the same time? As a Fine art student, I offered to make drawings and paintings to fellow students and members of staff of the university. All I heard was crickets - and an occasional gig (once in a red moon). My answer came when a junior colleague was desperately looking for someone to write his term papers. He offered to pay me N3000 if I could finish it the next day. I read a whole lot of books, and I write just as well. I've been like that since secondary school. So, I took the gig. The first thing I did as he paid me that day was to visit 11:45 (a popular restaurant in UNN then). I had a massive plate of Akpu and Eguisi soup. I had not eaten food for weeks before then; just biscuits (Maybe, you can relate). Then I got to work. You see, I hate to copy other people. It makes me feel cheap. I hit the internet all day researching the proposed topic. I was finished by the next morning. He got his friends to give me their works to do. And thus began my freelance writing business. I wrote term papers, project/thesis, reviews, and soon, student bloggers offered me gigs to write articles for their blog posts. Blog writing. It is an interesting new niche for me. I chose blog posts over academic writing years later. Not because of the money, but because of the interactive nature of blog posts. After taking some blog writing courses online, I developed a new way of writing blog posts. I write in a conversational tone; like a discussion between a blogger and his audience (just like this article you're reading right now...lol). My clients love it. They love my good grammar, spelling and punctuation, and the fact that I'm not like other blog writers who think they are Wole Soyinka writing for University professors. I write in a simple, easy to understand language. What's more? My writing is 100% plagiarism free. I think this is the 2nd major reason they love me. I don't spin articles, neither do I copy and paste. Hey, did I tell you how I solved my productivity problems that gave me many carry-overs? It was a simple decision. A simple decision to get off my sorry ass and get serious about whatever I'm doing. After praying for many months, it was a simple decision that solved the problem. It changed my life and made me efficient in my academics and freelance writing business. And now, I'm offering you that same efficiency with my "Fast Fresh Content" package. This is perfect for you if you want to fill up your blog with fresh original content... Fast. Maybe you don't have time to write, or you find that it takes you a long time to write original content. Either way, this is for you. Just one week from now, you could be uploading your new blog posts... (or drip them out over the next month, your choice.) FAST FRESH CONTENT Package includes: 1. By: Chukwuemeka Iheonunekwu. Hope beckons upon Godwin Honukpe Hounzavi Femin, 30, who was arrested, detained, and denied access to fair trial since early July 2018. Godwin was a house boy serving Mr. Greg Obi, the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy matters in Anambra state. The house boy was alleged to have stolen an uncertain amount of money from his principal, Hon. Greg Obi by the later. Godwin in defense said, “I stumbled upon so much cash in Dollars and Naira in one of the Rooms in my Oga's house. I was scared it might be ritual money. I told my co-workers and I ran away.” Chief Tony Dania ESQ had protested the injustice meted out on Godwin in Lagos. He was then transferred to Awka command of the Nigerian Police Force. The dogged Barrister followed it up to Awka. In earlier news reports about the case, the motion filed by Chief Tony Dania ESQ at a Magistrate's court Holden in Awka, had stated that Mr. Greg Obi did not know the exact amount of money allegedly stolen from his house. The report further stated that he did not know the amount of money in his house at the time. The Barrister had filed a motion earlier in a court in Lagos state when Godwin was still held at Interpol department of the Lagos command of the Nigerian Police Force, after which, he was moved down to Awka, Anambra state. A turn around came when on Friday, 7th September, 2018, a High court in Lagos State passed a judgement on the matter. The judgement favours the helpless young house boy and determined that he had suffered human rights abuse from the Police Force and the complainant. Meanwhile, nothing has been said about the case so far from the Magistrate's court in Awka as at press time. However, when reporters went to get Mr. Obi's side of the story at his office in the Anambra state government house, the secretary to the commissioner said, "We cannot give you the information you seek, because, the case is already in court and you don't report court cases in the News. However, all the necessary information concerning this case has been published in the media. Google it, if you like." Stay tuned for updates concerning this classic case of an Ant seeking justice and victory over an Elephant.

Who says that ladies can't effect positive change in the society with their passion, skills and knowledge? Well, Miss Kamsi Ebunilo is here to prove them all wrong. Kamsi Ebunilo is a typical example of beauty and brains. The lady always radiates with happiness. It is almost infectious, because, everyone that comes around her beams with a smile – even if they were in an accident. The French language graduate from the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka would seem like an ordinary lady – a slay queen, even. However, there’s much more to her than a pretty face, tall frame, nice curves, and a great fashion sense. She’s an entrepreneur and a comedian. In this interview with Chukwuemeka Iheonunekwu, Miss Ebunilo shares her childhood, motivations, aspirations and more. Who is Kamsi Ebunilo? Kamsi Ebunilo is a very care free, jovial individual whose goal is to leave everyone better than she met them. I’m from Adazi Nnukwu in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. I grew up in Awka, but I’ve travelled to many parts of the country – and just a bit outside. What was your Childhood like? My childhood was fun. Granted, I had strict parents growing up – who didn’t though? (She laughs). But my brother and I still found a way to have fun regardless. Where did you get your fashion sense from? I watch a lot of fashion TV and Channel E. I love going to fashion shows and reading fashion magazines. Also, I love and copy fashion forward individuals like Rihanna. She’s my style muse. People call you a slay queen, what can you say about that? The term “Slay Queen” has been given a negative meaning by Nigerians and the urban dictionary but I still like to take the term literally. A slayer is someone or something that kills. I kill. That is, I handle every challenge that comes my way like a Queen so I guess you can call me a slay queen, lol. Why did you study French in school? The truth is there is no deep meaningful reason like the ones my colleagues like to give. I simply chose French because no one else wanted to choose it. I always love going outside the box with everything I do. How did a French graduate become an entrepreneur and comedian? I have always been unintentionally funny - My close family and friends know this - and from day one I always wanted to be my own boss. Therefore, comedy and entrepreneurship came naturally to me. I am a born hustler. What is Small legends all about? It’s a Kids clothing brand that was founded on the principle that every kid is a Legend. Therefore all our pieces – Polo style shirts, T- Shirts, hoodies, joggers, gowns etc., are very unique. These kids are Legends in the making. It’s high time they started dressing accordingly. Why did you choose to run a kid’s only business? First and foremost, I love kids. Kids are our future, our hope and our joy. Every parent, both rich and poor wants the best for their child and kids don’t have enough choices in the fashion world. We’re here to breach that Gap. Is your comedy for children alone? Of course not. Every child, "lazy" Nigerian youth, young adult and old adult can relate and understand our comedy. It has no age limitation. So, what is Comedy wood? Comedy Wood is a platform for all comedians, both experienced and upcoming ones to express and showcase their God-given talents. We also release funny, relatable video skits (Across all social media outlets) every Thursday that features my humble self and other talented actors. Where do you see Comedy Wood in 3 years? I hope to see Comedy Wood at the top of the comedy food chain. I hope to see and hear testimonies of talents that have been groomed by Comedy Wood in the spotlight and I hope Comedy Wood will play her part in taking the Nigerian Comedy Industry to its pinnacle. Do you think the Comedy industry in Nigeria is great? Yes, I must say it is. I’ve watched it grow and get better over the years, but like everything in life there’s always room for improvement, and together, we can make it greater. What are your expectations from Comedians, and the audience? I expect comedians to take their acts seriously, improve upon their work ethics and treat their fans with the respect they deserve. The audience on their part should support our home-groomed comedians and appreciate them when they do their thing, because trust me; it’s not easy to be funny. What advice do you have for fellow upcoming comedians? The only advice I can give is the one I was given. Be passionate about your art; keep pursuing your dreams, put in the work and pray. Your dreams will come true someday. Do you have any secret plans to blow our minds? (She laughs) All I can say for the moment is that Nigerians and the world doesn’t know what’s about to hit them. The name, "Comedy Wood" sounds like an industry on its own such as Hollywood; is there a reason for that? Yes sir! Comedy Wood is a meeting point between talented Comedians and an expectant audience. We provide a platform for upcoming - and veteran comedians to crack people's ribs with their talents. For the audience, we seek new ways and partnerships to keep them highly satisfied. Great! How can we contact Comedy wood to entertain and get entertained? Well, we have a good presence on social media. Comedians that want publicity can reach us, as well as people seeking for fresh entertainment. You can reach us via the following links: Instagram: @thecomedywood Facebook: Comedy Wood Twitter: @thecomedywood Youtube: Comedy Wood TV That’s great! Thank you very much for your time. We expect to be blown off soon.

By: Chukwuemeka Iheonunekwu. Godwin Honukpe Hounzavi, 30, has been detained by the Police for over 9 weeks. He was a house boy to Mr. Greg Obi, the Commissioner for local Government and Chieftaincy matters in Anambra state. Godwin, was accused of stealing an uncertain amount of money from his principal, Hon. Greg Obi. According to the motion filed by Chief Tony Dania ESQ, at the Magistrate’s Court in Awka, Godwin said, “I stumbled upon so much cash in Dollars and Naira in one of the Rooms in my Oga's house. I was scared it might be ritual money. I told my co-workers and I ran away.” Mr. Greg Obi, it was alleged, does not know the exact amount of money in his house. He only suspected that Godwin connived with other members of his domestic staff to steal from his stock-pile of cash. He got the Applicant arrested and detained since early July 2018. Godwin was first detained at Alagbon by the Police at Interpol with his legs chained and locked like a serial murderer who was arrested at the scene of a murder incident. He has been denied access to his relations and previous Lawyers. After being served with a letter of protest by Chief Tony Dania, renoun, respected, reputable right activist, and Probono Lawyer based in Lagos, Godwin was moved to Anambra State Police Command headquarters, Awka. “The allegation against Godwin is stealing, which is ordinarily bailable, yet, for over 9 weeks now, he has been detained by the Police, without bail and without being charged to Court, obviously, because of the status of the Complainant, who ought to have been investigated by the EFCC for stock-piling cash in his house,” says the Barrister. The Barrister followed the case from Lagos to Awka. He filed a motion at the Magistrate’s court, Awka, dated 11-09-18; praying the Court to grant the following orders: 1. An order directing the Anambra state commissioner of Police in Awka, or any Police officer acting in his stead, to produce the applicant in court. 2. An order granting bail to the applicant on liberal terms. 3. And for such other order(s) as the court may deem fit to make in the circumstances. The motion shall be heard on Friday, 14-09-18.

I will give you a steady supply of news. Right now, there's an exclusive news that has never been published elsewhere staring you in the face. It's a case of human rights violations by the Nigerian Police Force against a house boy. The houseboy reportedly stole some amount of money from his boss (a Commissioner in Anambra State). Apparently, the commissioner could not give an account of the cash, or how much was allegedly stolen from him, because, there was a lot of money at the house. The young man is being represented by a popular human rights activist, who has asked the court to grant a hearing on the 14th of this month. Terms: My name will not be removed from the byline. You must give me credit for my work. Payment shall be discussed at a later date. You shall be noble in dealing with me. Who wants to be the first to get this news platform? It comes at no cost to you today. |

Hello Nairalanders, I am new in the city of Awka, and I'm marketing my Freelance writing and website design business in Awka (For about a month now). My experience so far makes me want to believe that there are no modern-minded young entrepreneurs in the city of Awka. We need to do something about that by rubbing minds together and to find new business opportunities in Awka OR ways to turn the present opportunities to our favour. Lagos is not the only city that should pursue progress in business with innovation. We too should innovate. Chat me up on whatsapp with the number in my signature or call 08107094689. Thanks. P. S: African Youth Summit will be holding on 26th of this month (May) at Emmaus house, we all need to be there. |
MrsAnyanwu:I too bought so many e-books which didn't help. The best way to earn money online is to provide services such as writing, designing, sales, marketing, and using third party blogging sites to post regular contents. Of course, it's easy in theory, but that's because we all start with a get-rich-quick mindset, and thus, get impatient before our chosen online business could begin to pay. May I know the kind of online business that you are most interested in? |
musicwriter:Very true... I was wondering where he got the idea that Nigerian culture didn't change much, yet he listed 3 marriage rights instead of 2. Most Nigerians who are "holy" have totally rejected traditional marriage institutions in favour of the imported ones. Too bad. |
