TV/MoviesProphet Who Foresaw Jonathan’s Defeat Releases New Prophecies, About Peter Obi by Nelson7474(op):
Prophet who foresaw Jonathan’s defeat releases new prophecies, says Peter Obi ‘ll win 2023 election

Prophet Winner Williams Taras of Christian Revival Church (CRC), Bauchi, Bauchi State has prophesied that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi will emerge as the next President of the country.

Tara’s made the disclosure during an interactive session with journalists on what God revealed to him.

“God has already ordained that Peter Obi will be the President of Nigeria in 2023,” he said.

“I want Nigerians to know that there is a living God, this is the main reason the message of revelation is coming out”

He explained that God will not let Nigerians down about the 2023 General election.

“God is ready to take Nigeria out of the present myriad of challenges facing it. All we have to do is to pray for the will of God to come to pass.”

He said his prophecies have always come to pass.

The Clergyman said God revealed to him that Goodluck Jonathan would not win his reelection bid in order for the country to remain peaceful and it came to pass.

He also said that on several occasions, God caused him to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Prof Yemi Osinbajo for healing and protection.

“To the glory of God, my prophetic prayers came to pass as I was able to personally hand over the paper I wrote the prayers on to the vice, personally when he visited Bauchi State on an official engagement in October, 2018.”

Winner Williams Taras also said that before the 2019 general elections, God revealed to him that the former Governor of Bauchi State, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar would not win his reelection bid.

He said that he was able to relay to the former Governor and it came to pass.

The Clergyman added that sometime in 2020, God revealed to him that there will be two years famine in 2021/2022 and that the one of the 2022 will be more severe than that of the 2021and it came to pass.

The Clergyman said that the Easterners are feeling alienated from the country’s presidency saying God is ready to intervene in the situation.

“That was the reason Peter Obi emerged the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 General elections,” he stated.

“Do not feel rejected, God created us together as Nigerians and we must live together as one.

“God is ready to intervene and change the situation through the election of Peter Obi as the next president of the country.

“My message to Nigerians about the 2023 General elections is that, nobody should be deceived by religion or tribe but they should stand on God’s side and I believe that God will see us through without any rancour”

According to him, he prayed fervently in 2014 before the 2015 General elections because of bloodshed at that time and God answered his prayers by making Nigerians to vote for change of government at the federal level.

The Prophet also said that Nigerians have deviated from the way of God thinking that there is another way.

“There is no any other way to God except through the only way He has laid down which is obedience and turning around,” he said.

He advised Nigerians to seek divine direction on who the next President of the country irrespective of ethno-religious sentiments saying the New Year would be a memorable one for the country.

RomanceIf Your Partner Has One Of These Apps, They Could Be Cheating On You by Nelson7474(op):
3. OkCupid/Bumble/POF (Plenty of Fish)/Grindr

Like Tinder, all three of these apps work similarly by creating matches based on mutually and anonymously liking another user’s profile.

Like Tinder, these apps are also location-based and offer suggestions from other users based on their proximity.

Grindr, however, which works in the same fashion as the others, has also become the world’s largest social networking app for gay, bi, trans, and queer users.

4. Line/Viber/Kik

While it’s natural for all smartphone users to own instant messaging apps, like WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal, it’s the lesser-known communication apps that could hold all the secrets.

We’re not saying your partner isn’t part of the Hawks or CIA. Still, all of these apps offer end-to-end encryption and privacy. Many (especially the lesser-known ones) provide a further veil of discretion around communication.

While this list is non-exhaustive, given the launch of new communication apps every day.

Apps like these aren’t go-to instant messengers, especially if your partner isn’t using them to communicate with you.

Having one of these instant messaging apps installed may not necessarily point to an unhappy home, but they provide a good indicator.

However, just because they don’t have one of these apps doesn’t mean communication with a fling isn’t happening elsewhere like Facebook Messenger or “sliding in the Instagram or Twitter DMs”.

5. Vaulty Stocks / Private Message Box / Avira Vault

Not all apps are easily noticeable on your partner’s smartphone.

Many offer functionality to hide not only messages but also photos and videos.

Through various apps like these three mentioned, users can sometimes communicate with each other and discreetly hide photo and video content sent from their side piece.

While these might not necessarily expose your partner’s affair or even contribute toward it, these are just some of the apps to raise an eyebrow over.

EducationUniversity Of Nigeria, Nsukka Students Protest Over School Fees Increase by Nelson7474(op):
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, have protested over the 100 percent increase in their school fees.

Confirming the authenticity of this increase by DAILY POST, the university administration published a memo on Thursday specifying categories of fees to be paid by its students.

The memo indicated that fresh students across the faculties in the university are to pay a consolidated fee of N114,650 – N120,650, while older students are expected to pay between N85,000 – N95,000.

It was gathered that before the new development, old students in the institution paid a fee of N40,000, and new students N83,000.

Speaking to DAILY POST on the development, a member of the Student Union Government, SUG, who did not want his name mentioned, said the students are uncomfortable with the increase.

“The students’ reaction is simple – we are not comfortable with the increment; even though the increment is inevitable, the amount they increased it to is too high. They doubled it, like a 105 percent increment, so it’s much.

“That is what we are agitating for – there should be a reduction. And compared to other federal universities, you would see that we pay higher unless we do not go on strike again.

Unless we are going to take up the responsibility of settling ASUU and all that, we won’t be going on strike like other federal universities, then the amount is ok.

Students are saying that if we will not be going on strike, the amount is ok,” he said.

Meanwhile, the university PRO said he was out of town and was unable to comment on the development.

According to his neighbors who leaked the farewell letter, the deceased described life as meaningless to him if he could not have a phone of N50,000 when his father is a multi-millionaire.

They said he also berated his erstwhile fiancee for jilting him and marrying another person without his knowledge and ascribed his decision to kill himself to her betrayal and his father’s failure to allow him to possess items of luxury like expensive phones despite being rich.

However, they noted that the student allegedly pleaded with them not to open the letter until 20 minutes later and that they should deliver it to his parents.

Fake EFCC Operatives Arrested In Delta State (Photos)
Due to the lack of employment in the country, some Nigerians have taken it upon themselves to employ themselves, in various fields of their choice.

Some criminals who pose as operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to harass and extort money from youths have been arrested in Delta state.

The Commissioner of Police CP Ari Muhammed Ali has directed the command decoy squad to investigate and ensure that they are arrested and brought to book.

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed that arrest and said following a series of complaints received from members of the public, especially from the youths, alleging that EFCC operatives usually break into their houses at night, forcefully arrest them, take them away and extort huge sums of money from them, which partly gave rise to the “END EFCC” protest in Ughelli that led to the burning of over thirteen trucks and destruction of properties, the Command did not relent, as intelligence gathered revealed that they may not be EFCC operatives as it is being alleged.

”On November 16, the Command received another complaint from a victim (name withheld) whose house was stormed at night by the syndicate, they gained entrance into the compound by scaling the fence, broke into his apartment, forcefully abducted and took him away in a white Toyota Hiace bus.

The victim further stated that on getting to the head bridge (i.e the boundary between Delta and Anambra State), they forcefully collected his phones from him, other valuables worth three million, seven hundred thousand nairas (#3,700,000), made a cash transfer of two million, five hundred thousand nairas (#2,500,000) and told him that they will come for him again.

Five other victims also reported to the Command and made statements of how they were robbed of about fifteen million nairas (#15,000,000). It became clear that it is the activities of hoodlums pretending to be EFCC Operatives.”

Edafe said the Commissioner of Police CP Ari Muhammed Ali, directed the command decoy squad to investigate and ensure that they are arrested and brought to book.

”In compliance with this directive, on 23/11/2022, the Commander CP-Decoy ASP Julius Robinson, acting on credible information led operatives on a sting operation, trailed them to their hideout in a Hotel (name withheld) located in Asaba where they hibernate to plan their next operation and arrested five suspects namely; (1) Prince Allison ‘m’ age 29yrs, resident in port Harcourt and the leader of the syndicate claiming to be EFCC contract staff in Portharcourt, (2) George Chisom Onyeweagu ‘m’ 29yrs resident in Owerri and he operates the POS that they use to forcefully withdraw money from their victim’s account, (3) Duke Okoro ‘m’ age 40years resident in Asaba Delta State, (4)Joseph Osinachi ‘m’ age 23yrs, resident in Lagos State, (5) Onyocha Stanley ‘m’ age 32yrs, resident in Owerri.

The suspects have admitted to having robbed different victims from various parts of the State, they also stated that they sometimes lodged their victims in a Hotel for days until they succeed in extorting huge sums of money from them or forcing them to transfer money into their mobile POS.

Their white operational Hummer bus, two locally manufactured EFCC jackets, a POS machine, and eight mobile phones were recovered from them.

Six of their victims have identified them as the syndicate who broke into their houses under the guise of being EFCC Operatives. The investigation is ongoing.” he said

The police spokesperson said the Commissioner advised the public, especially the youths to rethink before taking laws into their hands as some situations may have more to them than meets the eye.

He assures residents in the State that justice will be served, and will ensure that the culprits are duly prosecuted.

EducationNigerian University Students Pays Too Much For Education – ASUU by Nelson7474(op):
The President, of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke has said that Nigerian university students were paying high tuition fees.

He said it would be counterproductive and ill-advised for the government to introduce a new circle of fees in the system in the harsh economic realities of the times.

Osodeke expressed the view at the National Summit on Tertiary Education Reform 2022, organized by the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives with the theme “Reimagining Tertiary Education in Nigeria: issues, challenges, and Solutions”. “The students are already paying too many fees in the universities.

They can not be made to pay more”, he said. Osedeke however tasked the government with more investment in the education system and the welfare of the lecturers.

Also speaking at a panel discussion, the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Raji Fashola emphasized the need to decentralize the funding of education in Nigeria, adding that there should be more ways to fund the universities other than government channels.

Similarly, the President of the University of Lagos Alumni Association, Dr. John Momoh urged the universities to look in the direction of their alumni associations and the business communities to help generate funds.

Also speaking, Professor Uduak Ekpo of the University of Calabar said it was wrong to expect lecturers to raise funds for the universities, stressing it would be a distraction. Ekpo said the lecturers were essentially for research and development.

EducationIt's Illegal For Withholding Lectures Salary, ASUU, SSANU Lamented by Nelson7474(op):
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) have called on the Federal Government to meet their demands and also pay its members their salary arrears.

ASUU and other University unions had embarked on a strike at different times, demanding improved working conditions and the development of the nation’s tertiary education.

While SSANU and its sister union, the Non-Academic Staff Union suspended the strike in August, ASUU, on the other hand, suspended its eight-month strike in October after the ruling of the National Industrial Court and the Appeal court.

However, the Federal Government only paid the lecturers for 18 working days in October, while SSANU members were also not paid for the four months they were on strike, insisting they would not be paid for work not done.

However, ASUU had on Monday begun protests across the country to press home their demand for full payment.

Speaking in an interview with Sunday PUNCH, SSANU National President, Muhammed Ibrahim, said the union followed the due process of embarking on strike which rendered the no work, no pay policy of the government illegal.

He said, “For the four months that we were legally on strike, our money has not been paid. Government should do the needful because our strike followed all due processes. We notified the government before going on strike and therefore, there was no reason for the government to withhold our salaries.

“I urge the Federal Government to do the needful by ensuring that they release the withheld salaries of all university workers because the strike was forced on the staff by the government’s refusal to respect the 2009 agreement. The strike was borne out of the frustration of members.

“If they are claiming the policy of “no work no pay”, we are saying that labor laws say that members of staff have the right to embark on strike where their employers have infringed on their rights. Before you embark on strike, there are processes and procedures that you need to follow which SSANU has religiously followed.”

On her part, the ASUU Chairperson, University of Uyo, Happiness Uduk, said the Federal Government should be responsible for meeting the demands of the union, stressing that the labor law provided that workers should not be intimidated by strike actions.

She added that due to the refusal of the government to pay salaries, lecturers had been struggling to meet their obligations due to increases in the prices of commodities, including transportation.

She said, “We were all shocked at the first week of this month when the government paid a prorated salary. According to them, we were only been paid for the number of days which we worked, making it seem as if we are casual workers. Meanwhile, on our letters of appointment, if you check, you will find out that nobody was employed as a casual worker, which means nobody should be paid daily.

“The current situation is that people are hungry and then as law-abiding citizens, we decided, died disunion to obey the ruling of the National Industrial Court; we have resumed work, yet the government is creating disharmony and disaffection.’’

EducationPHOTOS: Priscilla Sitienei World’s Oldest Primary School Pupil Dies At 99 Years by Nelson7474(op):
The world’s oldest primary school student Priscilla Sitienei on record has died in Kenya at the age of 99 years.

The elderly woman fondly known as Gogo Priscilla (Granny Priscilla), won praise from UNESCO, which described her as “a role model for her community and beyond” following her resolve to acquire an education in her 90s.

The nonagenarian whose story inspired a French film died at home on Wednesday after developing a chest complication, her grandson, Sammy Chepsiror, told The reporters.

He said;

“Gogo has been in good health and attending her classes until three days to her demise when she developed chest pains, which forced her out of school.

“We are thankful for the 100 years of her life. She made all of us proud”.UNESCO had disclosed that Priscilla was 94 years old when she appealed to the headmaster of the local school in her village Rift Valley, Kenya to admit her.

In 2022, during an interview with the UN agency, Priscilla said she aimed to motivate young mothers in Kenya to return to school after having children, instead of dropping out due to shame or fear of social stigma.

“I wanted to show an example not only to them but to other girls around the world who are not in school. Without education, there will be no difference between you and a chicken.“Education is your future.

Education remains in your head forever and you cannot lose it once you have it,” she said.

Her story was retold in a French film titled “Gogo”, and it afforded her a chance to board an airplane for the first time last year to visit France and meet first lady Brigitte Macron.

Meanwhile, Patrick Pessis, a co-writer of the film paid tribute to the late Gogo Priscilla on Thursday, tweeting: “Her message about girls’ education lives on.”

EducationASUU President Calls For Removal Of Labour Minister From Mediation by Nelson7474(op):
Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has called on the federal government to remove the minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, as a member of the mediation team in the ongoing rift between the duo.

Osadoke described Ngige as an “interloper”.

He also stated that the minister cannot stand as a reconciler when it was he who personally wrote the Minister of Finance, demanding a stop to the payment of lecturers’ salaries while they were on strike.

And also authorized that the union members be paid half salaries, following the suspension of its eight-month strike in October.

The union leader maintained that Ngige lost his right as a mediator when he dragged the union to the industrial court and should be dropped from the negotiation team.

He also expressed optimism that the agitations of the union would be resolved in the interest of students, parents, and the country.
