He was sleeping, and deep throaty moans infiltrated into his ears, thence finding its way into his brain, exciting his nucleus acumbens– the pleasure centre of the brain.
It must be a dream, he thought. However, two things made him think better of it. First; something kept hitting his buttocks, perhaps a leg , and the bed was quaking violently. Secondly, the hard-on threatening to tear his boxers was sure as real as day and night.
Then he opened his eyes and turned to see his wife in some frenzy of ethereal proportion with guttural sounds coming form her mouth.

She was gyrating and thrusting her hips forwards rhythmically, like someone was on top of her ministering to her nether regions. Her eyes were rolled back into her head, while the hands were clutching on the bed sheet.
Totally unaware of him staring at her mouth agape with his jaws on the floor, she raised her nightie and her hands disappeared beneath them, away from his field of vision. A few thrusts and she squirmed and went limp. She was snoring before she even hit the bed.

All the while it felt as if there was a presence there with them in the room. He could feel ominous chills in his bone.

In the morning when she woke up, she had no memory of any of it. Absolutely none! She was more confused than he was, and genuinely so; and he had every reason to believe her.
He was never a believer of all that “spiritual husband” BS. However, this– this he couldn’t explain.

The religious, and the superstitious, would be quick to attribute the incident described in the above scenario to a spiritual influence.
However, fact is that the “unfortunate victim” is suffering from a sleep disorder called SEXSOMNIA.
Sexsomnia is a type of PARASOMNIA, just like sleepwalking, confusional arousal, night terrors, etc.
Parasomnias are undesirable physical events [such as abnormal movements and behaviors], or experiences [like emotions, perceptions and dreams], that occur in various stages of sleep.

The behaviours may appear well thought out, purposeful and carefully planned, following a coordinated pattern as may be seen in somnambulism [sleepwalking]; on the other hand it may manifest as a group of disjointed, purposeless movements and behaviours.

Whichever is the case, the sufferers usually are unaware of themselves, and their environment, during the process; are not easily roused [as they are actually in DEEP SLEEP]; and would not have any memory of the incident afterwards. They are more like AUTOMATIONS controlled by parts of the brain that function remote from consciousness.

In SEXSOMNIAS, parasomnia manifests as indulgence in sexual activities during sleep. It may be in the form of hip thrusting, moaning as if having an orgasm, masturbation, and in extreme cases it may manifest as sexual assault, and even rape proper.
Whichever is the case, it is important to note that the sufferer is not responsible for his/her actions. It isn’t premeditated, and how it manifests doesn’t necessarily depend on the person’s real life fantasies and mental preoccupation prior to sleep.
In an episode of the popular TV Series– Doctor House, a woman who claims not to be having sex, is manifesting symptoms of pregnancy. A pregnancy test confirms she’s pregnant, and a DNA test shows the baby belongs to her ex, who she’d broken up with some 6 month before, who however lives im the same building with her, 2 floors below hers. Investigation later shows that almost every night, she sleepwalks to the guy’s room, wakes him up, starts romancing him, and they end up having sex.

However, the next day she seems to have no memory of it, as she doesn’t even as much as respond to the guy’s greetings, let alone engage him in a conversation– leaving him bewildered as to why she keeps coming back if she still hates that much.
The above based-on-a-true-life story, which was re-enacted in Grey’s Anatomy, may help us understand not just sexsomnias, but also parasomnias as a whole. For instance, there’s a celebrated case of sleep-walking, in which the somnabulist, went to an airport, went through the motions of booking a flight, waiting in the departure lounge, boarding, and then flying to a destination–all while still sleeping!

Finally; it is NOT SPIRITUAL, people! If it were, it wouldn’t be treatable with drugs.
And oh, by “drugs” I didn’t mean “otumokpo” from Baba Ijebu; I meant pharmaceutical drugs like the Benzodiazepines [eg Clonazepam]. Evidence of this abound in literature.

Do you know how many people I've come across or heard about who had to cancel planned weddings because the groom was attacked by some of these 'spiritual husband' demons? In one of those cases, the man ran for his dear life after he was beaten with serious Marks all over his body. He could see and hear the person beating him and telling him to "stay away from his wife", but other people could not see the person beating him, and to tell us it was not a joke or dream, everyone around was seeing the marks on this guy's body. The lady in question had to come to our church for deliverance and even after the deliverance, the fiance was too scared to continue with the wedding so everything had to be cancelled.

It's people who have never been attacked by these demons or witches that will have a stupid mind to come and put up this kind of write up. Go and tell this kind of thing to this guy I just talked about that had to cancel his wedding and see if he will not give you a hot slap

I am sure you read the first comment i made on this issue, where i had said that if people were abusing the system e.g. by turning it to political rallies (OR Whatever form of abuse, which could include declaring unnecessary long prayers that disrupts the markets for too long a time), they can decide to set some rules that all markets should abide by, and any erring person/trader should be sanctioned! If there are no adequate rules, people will naturally abuse a good purpose that was meant to help them.

But the problem i have with what you have been saying is that you are like a person that is suggesting to a woman whose toddler has just peed and pooed all over himself, that the woman should throw away the baby and the dirty pampers together just because the baby is smelling from the mess. A wise mother does not throw away her baby with her baby's poo, rather she takes her baby and separates him from the poo and cleans him up until the baby matures and stops pooing on himself

that is not true. most people who believe in the existence of God have some measure of the fear of God. some people's own might be 100% fear of God, and some other people's own might be 2%, but there is that fear of God all the same. That is why you can meet some hypocrite christians that go to church every sunday, but they commit fornication and lie and cheat people in business, but if you ever tell them to accompany you to kill a human being, they will tell you No, that they cannot be party to such evil. Whereas there are some other christians that will not commit fornication, but they will sometimes tell lies in business to make more profit, and if you suggest to them to go with you to club for you people to carry girls, they will tell you No that they cannot engage in such things. And then there are other genuine christians that will never commit fornication or cheat or kill because they have a greater fear of God than most people.

And don't forget you now have some other category of human beings like some fulani herdsmen or some politicians who don't have any fear of God at all, and that is why you see them easily steal or kill human beings for money or ritual and they don't even feel anything when they slaughter a fellow human being. So, Oga, there is fear of God in many people's hearts, but it is not at the same level. Do you know how many young guys that don't have money or jobs in naija and are facing temptations every day to join some of their friends to do yahoo+ and yet some of them have refused to go and do because they have some fear of God.....and yet many of these same young people fornicate too.

I pity all the traders who are applauding this move. They haven't seen anything yet. Imagine how bad things are with the very little fear of God many people still have there, then think of what could happen when that small fear of God is taken away. Some people that would have wanted to go and do money rituals have not gone because even though many of them lie and cheat, they still have very little fear of God remaining that is preventing them from doing so. Now you eventually provide a means to remove one thing that regularly reminds them of that fear of God?? If you felt the prayers were being politicised, then what stops you from banning any discussion of politics in any of the prayer meetings, and sanction any trader that violates the rule?

I see a lot of fools in society today who clamour for God to be removed from society. Their foolishness does not make them reckon that if God is completely removed from society, what you have will be chaos and anarchy or total oppression where it becomes survival of the fittest. If you do away with only the 10 commandments from society, it means murder and stealing will become a very normal way of life because there is no fear of God stopping people from doing whatever they like as long as they feel the police are not in sight to catch them. These are common sense things, but foolish people who hate God won't see it

At the end of the day, socialists are people of "do as i say, not as i do". E.g Bernie Sanders who keeps shouting that taxes have to be raised and minimum wage must be raised to $15 per hour from $7.25 per hour or so. But he refused to pay his own Campaign staff the $15 per hour until they protested and told him he has to pay them the same amount he campaigns with. Guess what Bernie did after much protest from his staff? He raised their wages to $15 per hour and cut down the number of hours they work in order to balance his book and keep his total expenditure within what it was before the staff asked for increase. Socialism sucks!
