You missing a very important section (Personal detail), I also made the same omission on my CV. Your full name again not the heading, religion, Nationality, Marital Status, drivers license or DOB, int'l passport number ( any form of identification) and your Local Govt. area. Most peeps will tell you that these details might induce discrimination but in the long run, it is necessary because your CV is a representation of you in writing .

Thank you very much. You are the most honest commenter here. I don't understand what kind of jealousy would make others tell a fresh graduate to remove such an awesome cgpa. The only people that are advised to remove their cgpa are those with a poor 2,1 or a 2.2.
My current company does not accept anyone with less than a 4.0 for managerial roles anymore. Except as technicians with hnd and 2.2;graduates.
So my advice to you young man, sell yourself. Nobody will do it for you. Most of the people replying you are competing with you for the same jobs and will probably gain a few tips from looking at your cv , then they will come back and lie to you.
The cv is a little cluttered. Reduce the career objectives and give sharp, short bullet poihtsvror skills and professional membership. References are good but as a newbie you cv should NEVER exceed 2 pages. If you can bomb everything into a page then awesome!

Google sample fresh graduate CV template, and you'll see CGPA in almost all of them. Everyone is trying to get an edge, why should someone hide what may give him the edge.

Visit Schlumberger graduate website and see their graduate recruitment form, they have even removed 2.1 as a criteria and instead replaced it with CGPA 4.0 and above. Meaning it's not just Okay to get a 2.1 they want to see stellar grades.

When trying to sell yourself as a fresh graduate, you have to put your best foot forward and that includes academic performance.

Enough said, if you have it flaunt it, any recruiter telling you otherwise is suffering from inferiority complex period.

@Op be careful of the advice you listen to, I have been on the other side of the table and I can confidently tell you that your CV is the single most important document you can present, so please by all means flaunt your achievement, you worked hard for it, employers need to see it.

References are important to some recruiters. No everyone has time to call you to ask for your referees if they need to reach them

I think the 4.44 is good there. Incase the recruiter gets to a point where he has to choose btw him and someone else. Cuz if na me get that gp, I go bolden am and increase the font sef

Go to the website and apply for a graduate role.
If you get thr job, youll enter as a trainee. Eg field engineer trainee. They will give you all the training you require.

Just prepare like mad for the test and interviews, cuz e tough gan.

I know someone that applied to Schlumberger fresh from uni without any single certification (Was actually hoping to serve there). They called for a test, then interview/ac then another funny Interview and dropped an offer after a long time of waiting. All she did was drop her cv on the website. If youre applying for graduate roles, there are no skills required (although they could help your application when they have to choose btw you and someone else who may have the exact same qualifications)

Guy we are talking about an oil servicing firm here, what they need is SKILL, SKILL & SKILL. You better ask people around the relevant CERTIFICATIONS in the oil industry you need to acquire for you to take your career to the next level. Sit up man this is not a graduate trainee program. The reason why the HR guy never replied you is because he sees you as a learner and novice who Still brag with paper qualification. All the guys that I know that work with this coys are certification personified and embodiment of TECHNICAL KNOW HOW. Wake up man! Wake up!!

Lol thank God you choose NBC. As an engineer ,starting out as a mgt trainee in NBC would expose to the engineering and mgt side of the business. You can train as an engineer and further more apply for an MBA to make you very well rounded. Loads of advantages that I can state but seeing that you already choose NBC , I would just stop here. Cheers to a beautiful career ahead of you.

Thanks guys. I was comparing because, with the state of this country right now, my passion is to make money. And I feel ill gain good training from both places.
I'm just wondering which will be best in the long run.

KPMG is better but it just offers auditing,advisory and tax services, it is not engineering oriented.

NBC is in line with the engineering training you prefer, why both firms are mostly on par within the Nigerian sphere KPMG is more international. I would suggest you go for KPMG as a training from such a reputable company, would open more opportunities.

Also, you can always go back to your engineering after the training @ KPMG with a solid foundation in managerial expertise, which is required @ all firms.

Take a bus going to Lagos (Oshod) from abk. Then take ojuelegba from Oshodi... I'm not sure of the rest. But once u get to Oshodi, ask any of those market people how u can get to surulere, they will tell u

Hello fam, its bin over 13 months i started this KPMG journey and by God's grace am resuming september. For those that have completed the journey and are waiting for the mail for medicals, lets keep ourselves informed wen the mail starts coming in. Sometimes i feel they forget names cos some pple i started the journey with in April last yr are already working dere and i wonder why mine took so long even after i had done the PI interview, i practically had to start calling them this yr b4 they scheduled an interview for me with the head of d dept i chose. I posted this on the thread in the yore, I don't have any resource material.

Nothing asides what has been written on previous pages.

First phase of the Assessment Centre is a one minute presentation. You would be asked to
discuss one of three topics. All you need here is: confidence, eloquence and brevity. Try
pruning your discourse to its main points.

Second phase is some kind of groupwork in which you'll need to actively participate in.
Display tact/diplomacy, complicity, present for the group if you can, and be time conscious.

3rd phase is the critical reasoning test, and it will be observed concurrently with an
interview. For the critical reasoning test, practising the SHL inductive reasoning
questions would do you good. For the interview, You'll be faced with a panel of
interviewers (about 4 or thereabout). Questions could emanate from anywhere. Just know
your CV and your final year project; also try to establish a relationship between your
course of undergraduate study and Auditing/Accounting and have answers to common
interview questions ready. You'll be fine.

I am a Nigerian with a God-given ability to speak in a number of different accents. This could fetch one a good deal of money as a voice character in companies like Disney. The problem is that in Nigeria, we don't have an animated movie industry, as far as I know. So, what do people like me in Nigeria do? Is there any way we can be employed to work as voice characters here in Nigeria?
