You need transit visa only if you have 2 or more stops.
if you have only 1 stop, you dont need transit visa.

Try and avoid anything more than one stop. If you are changing flights in both amsterdam and paris you'll need a transit visa. In addition, consider buying a return ticket.

Visa issued: 1st March 2022
It took them just 1 day to process my application. My advice is try not to waste money if you are a first time traveler. But then, that shouldn’t stop you from trying, anything can happen.

Those that are yet to leave Nigeria, it's advisable to buy atleast one pack of malaria Medicine and paracetamol because you can still catch malaria after 2 months of being in the UK, and speaking from experience, these people don't know how to treat it. They will quarantine you like you have leprosy and you will be in isolation for over a week because they aren't used to ordinary malaria medicine.

I just received a refusal mail this hot Sunday afternoon from Sheffield, UK.

I used my Bank statement to apply for dependant Visas for myself and two children under 16 years. My wife is already 4 months into her studies.

Account statement was 28 days (2nd of October to 30th). fund was more than the required amount in my account for me and two children.

NSF mail 11th and 14th of January

Asked for my wife's account (I don't know why but I thought it was to check for fund duplication and it was clear there wasn't) 14th of Jan.

Paid mail sent on the 20th (Reply said decision made)

Decision letter today 23th of January.

I have asked people who got there dependant visas approved, I believe I followed the rules.
The ECO quoted an amount that included the the maintenance fee + tuition for my wife and only on dependant (as if she is still in Nigeria and only traveling with one dependant) whereas on the uk.gov website it says " If your partner or child is applying at a different time to you (they’re applying separately) they only need to prove they have money to support themselves".

For Frankfurt, depends. If it's a technical stop, you don't need because you won't be coming down from the plane. If it's a full stop that you will come down and enter another plane, you would need a transit visa
