amash: good morn all
please is this all the charge for delivery? considering atlanta cuz it's closer...
. This is all the fees for a normal delivery with no complications. Howver, u have to also pay for antenal and Lab works which is below $600 depending on how far gone u are and d tests required. One thing I know is that use ur Naija sense to negotiate. If u want I can send u Dr Ramani's no and u call and make all inquiries.

Hi, U can try Dr Dako Mamudu, he took out 6 fibroids from my womb and 2 of which blocked the tubes in 2006 and today I have 4 kids after d operation, I also have 2 close friends he opearated on and both have conceived..
kpofkpof: Please can anyone in the house give me a reliable hospital in the US where i can go for Fibroid treatment. I have been having difficulty in conceiving and upon investigations, they realised that i have multiple Fibroids which may have blocked my fallopian tubes as their HSG report says Bilateral Tubal Blockage

I want to use the US considering the pecularity of this case.

Looking forward to urgent and genuine responses.

COJ1484: Hello house,

I arrived the US via Lufthansa and my POE was Atlanta. I and my husband were kept in a room for secondary inspection for about 2 hours. Their point was that I didn't state during my interview that I was pregnant and that I only said I was coming for family vacation with my daddy, mum, hubby& myself. We explained to them that at the time of the interview we didn't know I was going to give birth in the US and my hubby even visited the American embassy in Abuja to explain our change of plans.A

And we sent emails to them informing them about the change of plans.we also explained that my folks r still coming over after the birth of the baby. Finally, after looking at the email correspondence and calling my host.they allowed us to go and stamped 6 months entry. They counted our money to ensure that we had enough. It was God that saw us through.though Its not my first time coming to the US but they said that there has been a rise in the number of pregnant women coming to the US for birthing purpose.
I registered yesterday at the southern regional medical center, riverdale. It's 4k for normal delivery and 6k for CS.and other extra bills may apply.

Goodluck to all intending travellers & safe delivery to all mothers.amen

Hi COJI484,
Congrats that you made it thru the POE.
Please how best can i contact Southern Regional? I hope to use the same hospital and I have sent emails to an address quoted by another forum member, Wemba, but still no reply from them yet. Also, were you given an appointment/medical responsibility letter? i will be most grateful if you can put me thru on how to contact them for birthing purpose too cos my trip will be in Jan most definitely. Thanks

Mrs Bee:

Hi Everyone.
Some goodnews. I had my baby boy Nathan on sunday 6:28am at Southern regional Women community center Atlanta . The experience I must say was breathtaking God so good my husband was right beside me to go through labor 2geda. D labor room was so fine felt like an hotel room. Anyway so far I have spent just 4,300$ for Delivery and my baby's circumcision. We await d pediatrician fee which is abt 250$. Had meals 3times daily got 2 d hospital on saturday nyt abt 11pm and got discharged on tuesday 2pm. Just tot I share.

Hi Mrs Bee,
Congrats on your safe and fine delivery. Trust you and baby are doing great. Pls can you tell me the total fee you paid for your delivery eventually? Secondly will also appreciate if u can enlighten me on how to book appointment with Southern Regional hospital, contact details and phone nos. The email posted earlier by another member is not responsive so maybe you can give me another address since you are still in Atlanta presently. Do they accept part payment in advance and will they accept a patient at 36weeks? Pls I need your reply urgently thanks.
Kind regards

[quote author=wemba]Hello peeps,

Thank you all so much for all the information that has been posted on this forum. I have been a silent follower for the past 4 months, absorbing all the intel and now executing my plan. Wifey and I have decided to use the Women Community Care of Southern Regional Medical Center in Atlanta for a number of reasons (e.g normal delivery-4k, C.S - 6k etc). She will be flying direct via Delta to Atlanta (hope we wont have any issues) and I will most likely be joining her a few days to the EDA. I heard the Atlanta crew are usually difficult so we're keeping our fingers crossed. We've been to the US a number of times so don't expect there should be too much wahala sha.

She's already 32weeks gone and leaves @ the end of the month.

Keep you all posted

Cheers

Hi Wemba,

Thanks for ur earlier response. Pls can u send the details of the finance mgr or the person to talk with? I will also appreciate it if u can keep the discussion going after wife delivers so we can be sure the hospital does not have hidden charges. I have family in Stockbridge and hopefully will be in Atlanta by December if i conclude with the hospital.

Regards

Hi nenababe,

Its a package. It covers every thing but epidural (extra $500). CS is additional $2k. But the financial manager did mention that its for a 1-day hospital stay. She must def be joking as the package she sent us says 2day hospital stay

Good luck

Please can you tell me if the $4k natural birth for above hospital comprise total fees for hospital, physician, epidural, lab. tests and pediatrician? Kindly give me the breakdown. Thanks and God bless.

Dentale:

One of my options is to use the same hospital around February/March next year as well and will be looking to get an apartment home since my Mum will be coming with me. Let's discuss further, perhaps I can be fully convinced. The weather is a pro for sure (Nigeria like). All in all, I'm still a bit undecided. I wish I could get a similar package in Houston or Atlanta since there are direct flights from Nigeria to those cities and I know more people there.
Hi Dentale, infact Atlanta is still my first option since I hv family there and will be so comfortable. But the fees I hv been getting are in the range of above $8k. Am still searching though and will finally decide for Pheonix if I hv no other choice. Let's keep in touch. Cheers

Hi all precious mums-to-be, Pls is any one of you considering Pheonix, Arizona for birthing between Feb and April 2014? I have decided to use MIHS and hope to get 2gether with any new mum that will be there at same time, especially if the person will be staying in an apartment home.
