emmyblackky: What exactly are they learning? Can you also post the content of their curriculum? We as parents really need to ask questions and think critically. What and how can we define quality education when almost all schools in nigeria are international and private schools. Its about time we dont or rather stop believing that the more you pay the best quality you get. #justsaying 1 Like 1 Share |

Not all gynae are fertility specialist #justsaying quote author=Ajujuju2 post=47137202] Errrm me thinks that for a gynae to be able to send a letter there has to be some issue that requires a referral. But i may be wrong though. The requester can try any of the doctors mentioned here for birthing. They are all obgyn's and if the request is possible they will help process the letter. All the best. God bless your plans
|

Hi dear. Am sorry about your baby and congrats on your new one on the way. If hubby wants to go through the legal route I personally think it is a good idea given the situation and the possibility of negligence on the part of the health professionals. We should remember they are all humans as us and they make mistakes but then it will help to put a check on carelessness etc. However you will need to prepare and be ready emotionally, psychologically, physically, mentally and even the exposure for you and baby. As for your file, with court order the investigative team will be able to pull it and team of professionals will review it for any loopholes. Remember in the file doctors make note of all the agreement/disagreement, suggestions accepted/decline ETC between them and patients. So technically what ever proof will be in black and white. I read somewhere that CP is caused by different stuff and about 70% is during brain development, 20% during birthing and 10% after birth. And further if forceps were used to speed up delivery you may have grounds for a birth injury lawsuit (medical negligence). Finally remember that God will never give you a shoulder small enough to carry your burden. Call on him, look up to him and hold unto him for grace/favour/blessings etc because he knows you are strong enough for this journey. Be strong and trust Baba God My main problem now is my husband wants to sue the dr/hosp more so in light of what the new dr said as per querying the use of a forceps......me I really don't know as I am doing everything humanly possible not to put additional stress on my body/mind. I explained the situation to my friend who's the nl guru and she's like ask here and give a summary of the situation- perhaps someone might have being in the same situation .....and how they went about it. Family / Re: Marry A Man With Potential And Shape Him Into A Husband by nenya(f): 7:45am On Jun 21, 2016 |
Hollicom: You need to understand and appreciate that there are different levels and category of poor men. You can't just say one can marry a poor man. Instead they are poor men with potentials and poor, lazy men. Which one are you talking about? I guess is poor man with potentials because if you end up with a poor and lazy man you will not just become the bread winner, you will even go and do his fights for him as well as protecting him instead of him doing that for you. 1 Like |

Na wahooo. #cause #effect!!! Am a stronger supporter of respect unto #feminisit..... However we cannot parade ourselves on #fight against abuse while we might have a bigger blame or be the cause of it. What did you do? Was your kid brother #mad or #drunk or #underdrug? Of course no sane man will do this to anyone how much more blood. Yes with all these awareness on abuse of female folks we need to understand that there is never fire without a smoke. As women most times our power in a tense situation might be the most valuable weapons we have, which is our tongue but we should constantly remember the wise saying about the tongue. While with the men their most valuable assets in an untstable situation is probably their strenght to constantly show their are in control which is likely to be expressed through beatings. The question is? What do we do when we find ourselves in a tense or unstable situation that will bring out the beast in us? Is there a rule that says it must be the man or woman should take a bow. Its about time we stop blaming and start taking actions.....and responsibilities........... It can NEVER make sense while some either blame the man or the woman when they can both ........... Again where are your parents? They should have a greater say........abie you don join the celebr...........to have and live an open life. Wetine be your name self? |

Egonne1: She was stamped in for one month on the blue passport. You need to find out what the law is with regards to blue passport. Google list of countries us citizens can vist with or without visas as well as visa on entry. Check what they have on Nigeria, if she over stayed they might play the immigration rule on her. |

Kemo88: I personally think you should avoid a double barre surname if you are not going to keep it on your new passport In my experience travelling with my kids when I was still on maiden name. I had to show proof using 1.unabridged birth certificate, 2.marriage certificate, 3. Letter from hubby. This is in line with the immigration rules. You should check what the law is presently due to the changes that had to do with same sex marriages etc Remember what ever you finally decide to do, you will and must always show proofs I the names differs |

tipsyjules:That will be great!!! Looking forward to that......but I was dead sure as at last week I will be going to el paso cos I felt it was well planned out in terms of payment, accommodation etc. I had made reservation with inland suites and got numbers for taxi, then I read the post from mom that had twin with regards to accommodation recommending airbnb. I tried it out and it turned about $600+- a month. Also another mom that used dr mbagwu at st Francis and I feel he is more cost effective. Am yet to give him a call to discuss on one and one. Once I speak with him then I will be able to say where exactly I will go to. 2 Likes |

tipsyjules: If you want to use el paso doctorsparati you can check out their website. All info is there bills, accommodation etc. Their total bill for vb invluding ob package, hospital and pediatrician as well as a 2 day stay is 5450 while 4 cs ob package, hospital and pediatrician as well as a 3day stay is 7125 With regards to the accommodation they recommend, the cheapest is inland suites from $179 per week but when you add tax, weekly tech fee, deposit it comes to about $266 roughly and its about 9.5miles to sierra medical center which they use. But if you go to airbnb you will get accommodation not just much more cheaper but about 30minutes WALK to the hosipital if its still available. But if you read up people have talked about where they had paid much more cheaper bills than doctorsparati 4 Likes 1 Share |
Guess I've rested enough. Here's my story. About 10 days before my travel date, swelling on my legs which had always been minimal increased so much. Even after raising the legs up at night, the moment my feet touches ground in the morning the swelling returns. 3 days before my travel, I used the home bp monitor to check my bp and it was ranging btw 140/80 and 145/85. I immediately drove to hospital. Nurse on duty checked with the manual bp monitor and another young dr checked and it was still high. They had to call my consultant. He ordered they check my urine for protein and nothing came up...he eventually came himself, checked the bp and said it was normal. 3 days later I travelled with Lufthansa on a united ticket at 34 weeks + some days. Requested for wheelchair and they said since I brought fit to fly I can't use wheel chair. I was shocked cos several pple here have used wheelchair. They agreed to book for my mum cos of her arthritis yet we didn't see any wheelchair neither at Frankfurt nor LAX. We flew to Frankfurt and had a 4 hrs layover b4 we flew to LAX. All the while, my mum was so worried about the swelling. POE was a breeze. Cbp: what are you here for? Me: childbirth Cbp: ok. How long are u here for? Me: 2 months Cbp: sorry, what did u say u are here for again? Me: childbirth, delivery, to have my baby (lol...that's d type of confidence saying the truth at the embassy gives u) Took our finger prints and stamps us in for 6 months. We went to agriculture...the officer was busy shouting to the guy scanning the bags...Nigeria, Nigeria, lol...our bags were scanned but we weren't asked to open it. When we got to my aunty's house...the legs had tripled in size and she insisted I see the dr immediately ( my appt wasn't till another 4 days). We called his office and luckily he was still around...said they close at 5pm. It was already 4pm...so without eating or anything...they drove us to the dr office. My relations went in to greet him (they had known him for a long time) I had no idea, while I filled out the forms. When I saw the dr, my bp had shot up to 159/100. He told me point blank to head straight to the hospital as I had developed pre-eclampsia and baby had to be induced immediately. He said the financial dept would have closed for the day and they don't open weekends...so we had only the next day to pay and sign the contract...cos if I deliver without signing it...I would be left with a bill of over $40k. Got to the hospital and was admitted. Was placed on magnesium IV to prevent seizure...while they ran tests...the same ones I would have done with the doctor's office. Next day my mum sorted the bills...while they brought the papers for me to fill...despite the induction starting Thursday night...i didn't deliver till almost mid day Saturday...cervix no gree dilate till...was almost heading to OR for c-section b4 LO came forth...I hadn't eaten in almost 48 hrs...day said no food, no water...was just allowed to chew ice...where the strength to push came from...I don't know. The main testimony is that LO didn't need to go to NICU...was almost peeing in my pant when the thought of it came to my mind...cos of bills...she was just in the nursery...they did hearing test...checked for jaundice...was later discharged. LO is 3 weeks old currently. Used st Francis medical center and dr. Mb---u. Hospital bill $2700 for vag. Delivery (includes paediatrician, epidural (the thing wore off towards the actual delivery). Stayed an extra day which cost $900 (covers both me and baby). Hospital gives free stroller. I've gotten zero balance. Dr fees had always been 1500 and 2500 for vag and csection respectively. When I got here...saw it was now 1000 and 1300...was told the dr considered the current economic situation in Nigeria and decided to slash his self-pay fees. Hmmm...Angels still dey dis earth Shaa. Since baby came early, wanted to shift my date but United wants an arm and a leg just to change date...I'm chilling (mum is here with me, hubby is coming, wonderful Hi dear thank God for your miracle and congrats on the arrival of your cutie. Please can you kindly provide more detailed info on the hospital and doctor you used? For instance 1. Where the hospital is located? As in the city. 2. Doctors details such as phone number, email address. Am very much interested to try this option instead of el paso I was thinking of. Thank you for your anticipated assistance. 1 Like |
