@gel03 , I tire for them too oh.

Got a surprise rejection from U of S (my preferred school) last week after several months of waiting for a decision. I guess I underestimated the importance of this supervisor thingy cos besides that and GRE, I though my app was good enough to get me in. I just hope I get into Memorial cos the signs am see ain't good at all.

Here's wishing all the remaining Fall 2011 admission hopefuls all the best!

@ojo.omoyen, did u finish from uport, do your serve at warri (an oil service firm)? are u light in complexion? we may know somewhere sha
for your ??s, you cud be shelling out over N6m from your pocket doin a 1yr master in the uk, afterwhich u may not get a job cos there aren't much oil coys in the uk even in europe esp Norway.

But get across the US embassy with N3-4m and your GRE plus other documentations, and you cud end up not spending up to 50% of that amount in the States cos of funding opportunities(fellowship,TA/RA,Scholarship etc), perhaps, the placement rate for most pet engr schs in the US is near 100%. My senoirs there had offers before grad.

I also know 3 guys who went to the UK, coventry, heriot watt and robert gordon and only one of them recently found a job. Two coughed out N6-7m each while the third one who got a job was on ptdf. So save your sef the wahala n prep for the gre/toefl. others made it, so y cant you,

Dont even look at your low CGPA and be afraid of the exam, ok! esp. if u finished from Up

@myforumid3, did u finish from Uniport?

@ neroflick,
U of S offers financial support for MPH students but its very competitive. They do not require GRE but TOEFL is optional.
A high score in TOEFL with a great undergrad record can get you some funding especially with the tuition.
Good luck and God willing we'll see in school.

@buchy321

Amen!!!

I guess you're already settling into the system well. I have a few questions I'd like to ask you off-topic. Could u please contact me via: <MyNairalandUsername>@yahoo(dot)com. Thanks

@ Superbrain , thank you very much for taking your time to pour out the details. But do you think a 2010 winter admission would be acceptable? I don't think I can get an offer before the August 30th deadline. What do u think?

Hi Buchy321, nice to know ur heading to USask. I am planning to apply there for Fall 2011. Did u write GRE/Toefl? Did ur offer include any form of funding? I really hope you don't mind my asking; I just need to prepare adequately and weigh my options carefully. Thanks.

Having followed this thread 'religiously' for the past few months, I must confess I have gained so much from the wealth of information herein. Thanks to you guys, I took the bold step, started my SAP journey last month and I have now obtained the TERP10 certification which has increased my understanding of the different modules and how they are used for integration of business processes. Due to my IT background, I'm moving on to SAP System Administration (BASIS) and I have been fortunate (thanks to this thread) to get most of the official training materials required for my next certification: SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration (Oracle DB) with SAP NetWeaver 7.0

Just wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread in one way or the other. And to all fellow BASIS 'aspirants' interested in the training materials I've got, drop your email so i can send you a download link.

For those who need the SAP IDES system and most certification materials on SAP the best place is amaderforum.com. You don't need to pay anyone huge some of money to install the system. You just need the bandwith to download the program about 45gb and the right machine to get it installed.

thanks for the info , but i can't register on the site because registration has been disabled by the administrator. has it always been like this? i really need to get access to the treasures inside, any ideas how i can achieve this?

Yeah ,  He sure is very real! By His Grace and thanks to ur tips, my interview was a breeze! God set the right atmosphere for me ,  my interview was more like a business chat between friends. We (the interview and I) ended up chatting for over 1hr cos we were "enjoying" each other. It was really God at work!

Well well ,  long and short of it is that i got a success mail two days after my interview. Waiting for SRD now ,

@ neroflick how did ur interview go.?

Sorry about the long silence ,  my internet connection went bananas! My interview went fine. The scenario was just as lee007 described. His tips were really helpful and I wish to say a big thank you to him! Hmmn ,  I would say I got favoured (by God) cos my interviewer made it quite easy for me. Right from the moment i stepped into the interview room, he started out with me on an informal mode and to my surprise we just chatted throughout the interview session like friends talking business (imagine that!). The most challenging aspect was the "Capacity" part where i was required to analyse an issue ,  I ran out of ideas at some point but thank God for the friendly mood already created which prevented it from being so glaring. Two days after my interview I got a mail notifying me i would be invited for SRD soon. My bro, it was just God oh!

Have u been invited for SRD yet?
