If not, then how does one get a place to stay because it might be a city or state where there is nobody u know at all. (perhaps you guys over there can share your experience and how you settled your accommodation).

Also, should the bank statement to be taken to the embassy cover other fees apart from tuition (like accommodation, books, feeding etc)?

^^ur university fellowship is jst for tuition. accomodation and feeding is not included so u hv to show them proof of financial stability, u will be responsible for everything else apart from tuition
