modik: INEC said they don't have server.
True or lie
Where went over N2b earmarked for that? Atiku said INEC has a server that they used in transmission of results electronically. INEC said we don't have such server. That is true. The question is not do INEC have any form of server at all. That is NOT the question. If I can explain, Servers are high-density computers. The INEC website like Nairaland here is hosted/stored/running on a Server provided managed by Web Hosting company. The INEC can run an in-house hosting operation or can just opt for a secured premium Cloud-based alternative. |

modik: From the video available in public domain, manual accreditations are aptly documented and forensically verifiable.
The onus of proof of manual accreditations rest on INEC subject to forensic verification. The numbers MUST add up.
If not,... my fears! Atiku is not contesting the results announced by INEC. That is the main issue. He has an entirely different results that is totally different. He said a whistle-blower got it from, wait for it - am INEC Server! His own total is even higher than the one from INEC. Also Buhari even performed better in South East in Atiku's own. Atiku is playing spoiler's game. The law is not on his side, because INEC is the only body empowered by law to conduct and announce results. |

modik: Card reader authenticated and identified each voter. Number of accredited voters is documented by card reader. Yes. But what of those that where manually accredited from the register? Also is the card reader aware of the party you voted? Finally the constitution only recognise the results announced and signed off by INEC officials, as well as party agents at the polling units. Any other results are inconsequential and not acceptable by law. |

pchukwudi: Again, Atiku filed an application to have INEC's server inspected.
INEC shamelessly DENIED the existence its SERVER - even though you just admitted (and it is clear to every normal human being) that INEC has a server.
So quit your excuses for lies, lawlessness, and government rascality. When the chips are down, you will all surfer the consequences of your sycophancy and collective stupidity. Atiku is asking for Server Presidential Results were transmitted to. INEC said they don't have such server where results were transmitted to. The question is not if INEC has any server or computers. Afterall the INEC website is on a Server. Also the request has already been ruled upon at the Court of Appeal earlier. Here is the link on what INEC said https://www.nairaland.com/5242978/atiku-pdp-asking-us-serverThe petitioners, through their lead counsel, Dr. Livy Ozoukwu, subsequently filed an application on May 8, 2019, seeking an order of the tribunal permitting them to access and inspect the INEC’s server into which results and other data were allegedly transmitted during the February 23 poll. |

pchukwudi: There's a huge difference between: 1) proof of 100% server usage in result collation and 2) proof of server existence.
The case here is not about proving that the server was 100% used for result collation.
The case is about INEC denying that its server exists.
Atiku's application was for SERVER INSPECTION. Not for result validation.
Why is INEC denying the existence of its server (contrary to its own documented public assertions) if no evidence of illegality can be found following a thorough audit/inspection of the server?
Seriously, you guys should stop being stupid. It is more than that. Like most big organisations, INEC can have servers and computers for office use. Atiku needs to prove that a particular computer or server was set up and used for for the Presidential election. INEC has a database of registered voters and other vital data. There should have a Server computer for those. But point blank, INEC doesn't have any presidential election server with the kind of results he is parading. |
Politics › Re: INEC Server: The Easiest Way Atiku Can Make His Case by netpro(op): 1:52pm On Jun 15, 2019 |
pchukwudi: INEC did NOT say that Atiku's claim is "not advisable" or admissible by law. They PLAINLY DENIED the existence of their server.
Is that too complicated for you to grasp?
See, I don't want to call you names, but your position here goes to show how dishonest and shallow your other assertions elsewhere could be. Sorry on the typo. Yes, INEC say they don't have. The burden of proof now is on Atiku. So let Atiku provide INEC’s Server. Bros, I believe Atiku has better luck in mining business than providing any physical server. |
Politics › Re: INEC Server: The Easiest Way Atiku Can Make His Case by netpro(op): 1:47pm On Jun 15, 2019 |
MaziOmenuko: INEC may just have made this case easier for Atiku. He just needs to prove that INEC has a server which is easier because so many electoral officers are available to testify that they were indeed mandated by INEC to upload their results to the servers. It would have been more difficult to prove that the figures he reeled out were the actual election results than to prove that a server did exist.
One would think that INEC would have maintained that the results reeled out by Atiku were fake. For them to say they don't have a server is a big miscalculation. A copy of the proposal INEC made to the national assembly to increase their budget so they can acquire servers is available. He can still find some INEC staffs, retired or in active service that can attest to the existence of servers. Not exactly. Proving a Server existence is one thing (almost impossible - those that claim to have heard of server did not). Do you know it can be as simple as Dedicated server hosting account? Also Atiku needs to prove that authenticity of the results he has over the ones announced by INEC. Then there is the biggest hurdle, the current law does not support electronic results. That was one of the provisions the amended law had. But Mr President declined. |

OAUTemitayo: Did electoral officers input election results into card readers in your presence at polling booth?
If they did, did the party agents sighted and signed to the transmission?
I don't know why you are giving Atiku false hope.
The only results recognized by law is the result sheets signed by party agents and electoral officers.
That's what Atiku should use to prove his case not one server that many voters don't even know exist. You nailed it. How do they expect us to value a result nobody knew existed over the results authorised Electoral officials counted and announced in person publicly under the watchful eyes of everyone? |
Politics › Re: INEC Server: The Easiest Way Atiku Can Make His Case by netpro(op): 1:27pm On Jun 15, 2019 |
pchukwudi: Does "being alien to the law" and "not necessarily using it" mean the same thing to you as "INEC server does not exist"?
Do you now have to support a silly lie to prove your patriotism?
If INEC did not use a server, how then were they able to use Card Reader for voter verification?
Are you even aware that, based on the existing INEC tenets, deliberate failure to use the Card Reader for voter verification is grounds for election cancelation? This was done both in 2015 and 2019.
So if there was no server, how was the Card Reader able to verify voters? It simply means it is not advisable in the Presidential Tribunal matter. Anything not backed by the Constitution and the Electoral law does not hold any water no matter how many times you say it. Later someone can file a case on whether or not, INEC spent the money as budgeted. But as you can see that doesn’t help Atiku currently. |

pchukwudi: @netpro
This is what you help to enable in your silly naivety (that's giving you a benefit of doubt that you have an iota of Igbo ancestry).
In any case, this igbophobic tendency to trash-talk and vilify our people predated the civil war.
In the West, Akintola ran a movement with these same rhetorics just like Adeyinka Grandson (and many others) still do till today.
In the North, Belewa and a plethora of his grassroots mobilizers ran with the same anti-igbo rhetorics, even way before Nigeria's independence - and it has continued till today.
These people do not understand the cultural oxymoronic blend of high level individualism and refined collectivism that drives the average Igbo man and his Igbo community wherever they are found. It is deeply opposed to the prevalent culture of oligarchy found in most of the other regions of Nigeria.
This contradictory distinctness is at the root of every anti Igbo movement in history. And it's so disheartening that folks like you, @netpro, are ignorantly (or are you?) enabling and validating this behaviour. It is rather irresponsible for you to blame me for the evil and madness on the web because I advocate Ndigbo having a larger role and participation in the Nigerian union. It like me blaming you for the wickedness, hate and atrocities of a separatist in aligbo. Please don't stoop that low. It is demeaning, even for you. |

pchukwudi: Maybe that would give you a glimpse of how the average Igbo person feels when you arrogantly tell them to move away from their ancestral indigenous lands (ancestral rights to which has preexisted and survived Nigeria, western colonists, and Christianity, Islamic jihad and all pre colonial tribal/ethnic conquests that were prevalent in other regions ) just because they insist that Nigeria as structured is not and has never been in their best interest.
Quit playing the victim, dude. You are the grand aggressor here.
You have already, albeit covertly, called for Igbo genocide on this thread alone just because you failed to have your way in making everyone support your anti-igbo/pro One Nigeria delusion.
Seriously, you are anti-igbo. Just face it. It is lawful everywhere in the world for nations to do everything within its might to protect its territory from both internal and external forces. It is naive to ask Nigeria not to. And for your info I am not anti-igbo as you put it. Is like being against oneself. Rather I am 100% anti-separation. I have never hidden my view on this. Reason is that we can identify and find solutions to our problems rather than recluse to a tiny cave and live in isolation. Corruption, mismanagement, greed and crime is universal in Nigeria, it is not peculiar to one ethnic group. |

pchukwudi: What is your point, dude?
1) Insinuating that INEC did not use their server during the elections?
2) Or are you saying that truly they never had any server in existence?
Basically, we all saw an INEC official saying on Channels TV that polling results were to be electronically posted to the INEC server from the Card Readers right from each polling unit. And when the manual result sheets are returned they had to be crosschecked against what's on the server in order to mitigate backdoor manipulation. There different aspects of the Server issue and mostly does not favor Atiku. For instance, that INEC talked about servers before the election doesn't necessarily mean they used it. Also manual and paper results that were announced publicly by the electoral officers favour Buhari. It would have been a lot easier to change a softcopy if server were in play. The biggest upset is President Buhari declining to accent to the amended electoral bill. So INEC is not under any obligation to e-collation. It is also alien to the Law. |
