emmanuelewumi:Pa Emma, can you share your understanding of their business model and how they make money. From the Little I found out, it seems they charge airlines (on contract basis), and clearing agents on a regulated tariff, but I don't have a full picture of how that works. 1. Is their earnings dollar indexed? 2. What are the possible risks that would impact the company's earnings? I would appreciate your insights on this, Sir. |
Hi Guys, I completed my passport application at Owerri in July (DIY candidate). But I left Owerri and have not been able to check back to know if my passport is ready for collection. The guys there promised to call me in 3 weeks once it's ready, but I haven't gotten a call since then. I have also not been able to track my application on the site recently because it is telling me I have "wrong login credentials." Can I send someone to collect it for me by proxy? Please what do you suggest I Do |

My Ogas, pls I am quite new here and need your perspective on something. I was looking into MTN and found something about their Tower lease contract. From their report it said "MTN Nigeria’s operations are exposed to foreign currency volatility on its operating and capital expenditure. The most significant of these exposures relates to the tower lease costs, which comprised the bulk of the 45-50% foreign currency exposure in our operating expenses in 2023." I understand some of these contracts is currently between MTN and IHS, which maintains these towers for MTN. But I don't understand how this contract works in detail. I want to know, if MTN built these masts (Towers) and then contract it to IHS to manage or IHS owns these towers and lease them to MTN . If MTN own theses Towers, these lands that houses those masts, are they on leases too or owned by MTN ? Every input would be greatly appreciated |

iwillnevergiveup:So basically, Moniepoint, palmpay and Opay POS have the best network stability right?. That means network stability depends on the Bank that owns the POS terminal right? Not on the POS broadband features (assuming some POS machines like Moniepoint and OPay has 4G capabilities, while others are 3G) |
iwillnevergiveup:Can you share what causes the nightmare with your experience using Firstmonie? Also like to know what you generally lookout for when deciding the Best POS Machine to use. I need this info for my intending POS business |

Timekeeper452:That's exactly what I did. I won the dispute. My refund is being processed RN |
jboixxx:Thanks a lot. I had same thoughts. Was even pitying the seller about loosing his goods and Money. But not anymore What should I expect from now? He keeps bugging me to cancel the dispute lol.

Ajay7411:I would keep that in mind. Thanks man |
morikee:Thanks man. I would do as you said |
Pls Guys, I ordered and received an item that was meant to be a gift to my sis on her birthday (5days from today). But the item (Airpod) has the right ear damaged while the left is working well. I opened a dispute for refund only about it, and sent the video about it to the seller. The seller claimed he would help resolve it or refund me, but I should reopen the dispute with another reason (this time return and refund and not with item damaged as reason for refund). Cause the dispute would disrepute his store. What do I do about this matter ? If I choose return and refund, who go pay for the shipping cost back to Mr Seller ? Your help means a lot. morikee:Might be Nipost. Speedaf said it's not with them. Thanks for the response man |
jboixxx:This is much appreciated. My location is Anambra. Seems Nipost has been handling mails poorly recently. The time I first went there, the lady told me they have not received mail for over a month, that there's delay with mails. I went there last week same lady told me they have new mails, but they are yet to sort them, I should go and come back next week. Imagine!! |
ganiuofficial:Supposed arrival date is Sept 10. I went to the NIPOST myself, they said there's no package to my name. |
Abeg my people, since August 2nd I never get update on my tracking. Who could be the local delivery company? I asked Speedaf, they replied it's not under their custody. I went to the PO too, but was told no package yet. It's been 13 days, what do I do please. Your input is much appreciated. Jboixxx |

Lol what a small world David. I never imagined meeting you on this platform. I am glad you are still into the farming business. Boy I checked your IG, I am amazed at the level you've gotten. I remember lot of things you told me then in Onitsha, if they were lies, then I foolishly trusted you. I gave you a gift of trust, but it was too expensive for you man. But all that is in the past now. I'm glad you're doing very well in your business bro. It's been 4 years now. But I've forgiven you Cheers to Greater things to come. Onlinefarmstore |

4. Nigerian hasn't been able to beat it's highest GDP of $547bn recorded in 2014. @Fynestboi, @Richiez, @olawalebabs would be nice if this can get to FP.
|
3. China is the only country among the 3 that didn't experience negative GDP change in 2020 (didn't COVID-19 affect them as well?. Chinese Government had good management of the COVID).
|
2. Since 2010 China has experienced rapid Economic growth compared to US, with the clear evidence of 10.29% CAGR compared to 3.81% CAGR US recorded.
|
Some of the Unique observations from my Analysis : 1. Nigeria's GDP history has been a bumpy ride all through (with it's chart history looking like a Korean mountain ) compared to that of US or china that went on a smooth trajectory. I think this is a reflection of political instability.

What Numbers Huh ? I mean GDP numbers Lol ![]() Okay ASUU strike really gave me enough time to work on some Data Analysis projects I'd always wanted to do. Here, I wanted to show the insights I found from the Data Analysis I did with world GDP data. My Analysis is based on the most recent (1960-2020) GDP Data available at World Bank. My Process : 1. Downloaded the Data from world bank. 2. Cleaned up and transform the Data. 3. Went through thought processes and noting down possible insights I could get from the data. 4. Built wireframes for the dashboard while noting the best ways to visualize those insights I wanted to show. 5. Went to work building each formula in modules, which when combined would derived an insight from the Data set. 6. Used the best visuals (Eg. Card visual, Area chart and Column chart) to visualize these insights. That said, Here are the insights I showed on my dashboard : 1. Highest GDP recorded : Each country has recorded in the past it's highest GDP (which possibly might not be a recent GDP report) in one year since 1960. Eg Nigeria recorded it's highest GDP in 2014. 2. CAGR : CAGR means Compounded Annual Growth Rate. Here I chose to calculate CAGR from the past decade (2010) which Is more representative measure of the country's economic health. 3. Peak GDP Growth : shows the highest GDP growth recorded by each of the selected country. 4. % of World total : measures the country's % contribution to the World GDP based on the last GDP recorded (2020 GDP). All shown with a card visual, because each is a single concise value. 5: GDP history : I showed this with an area chart since it shows the historical trend in GDP value of the observed nation. 6. Last 10 years Growth : here I used a column chart to show the Year on Year GDP change for the past 10 years. I removed the Data labels from the chart to just give a general view of Year on Year change since this same information can be found on the right side of "Past 10 years GDP" table, and also to avoid clogged up numbers on the chart. 7. Past 10 years GDP : I used a table visual to show an overview of past 10 years GDP record and the annual change. I Only Showed dashboard for the 2 biggest economy in the world: US, China and of course i can't leave out Nigeria. Data source : https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/NY.GDP.MKTP.CD
