The ES will most likely be reappointed. He has done a phenomenal job. To my mind, he's unarguably the highest performing CEO in any public organization in Nigeria at the moment. He is forward thinking, thorough and believes in due process.

Incidentally, he was recommended to the President for the ES position in 2016 by his current boss, the HMoSPR who doubles as the leader of APC in Bayelsa State.

The advertised recruitment will be strictly merit based. There might be another mode of recruitment that is independent of the advertised recruitment for a select few based on other considerations.

Be wary of those talking about slots here and there. I know of someone that has both local and foreign work experience with a number of both national and international professional certifications that was personally recommended for employment there by a serving Honourable Minister that's a very close friend of the HMoSPR, he was also an Executive Governor for 8 years, a Distinguished Senator for 12 years and the leader of APC in his State. That hasn't given the guy an immediate employment yet.

The example above is to show you how much of due process is under the current ES leadership. I also believe the recruitment process will end possibly in September. I'd encourage all here to do their best and pray for God's favour. All the best!

Incidentally, I'm the one mentioned in the above submission. I also know someone on this thread that works in the office of the HMoSPR. She has a thorough understanding of how the process is going.

They are recruiting hundreds of staff. They have a good number reserved for merit with the processes ongoing. They also have a limited number reserved for other considerations that is completely independent of the advertised recruitment. We have stated this again and again.

They already have hundreds, if not more than a thousand recommendations for employment with them. There's hardly any serving Minister or Senator that hasn't recommended someone for employment there before now. Some of them have already got negative responses. They will honour only a few. Many of those recommended persons turned down will thereafter be nominated for project - based on - the - job graduate training opportunities in the Oil and Gas Industry.

I encourage all of us here to be optimistic about the process. The advertised recruitment is on course and will be merit based.

Don't take information from some of the staff seriously because some of them know next to nothing about what's happening. I spoke with one of their HR Managers recently. He told me that he's not in the team handling the recruitment process that he knows almost nothing about the process.

There's nothing controversial about the NCDMB recruitment that's ongoing.

Sure, a few with their co-travellers are second guessing or even outrightly disbelieving the authenticity of the recruitment process. Don't mistake most of us here to be in that trail.

I happen to be an alumnus of FUTO. They advertised for vacancies in some departments in January, 2020 and completed the exercise after a few months.

They issued out the disclaimer that is making rounds now since June, 2020 after they completed the recruitment exercise and the previous advertised vacancies were being shared in various social media platforms.

FUTO just advertised new vacancies for select departments that were not part of the January, 2020 exercise.

Anyone that has the aptitude to read between the lines would understand that the crux of NCDMB disclaimer wasn't on the authenticity of an ongoing recruitment but a refutal on the one requesting for 1Million Naira for a slot and the other stating that recommendation letter from Public Office holder is an added advantage.

This is just in a bid to address some of the reservations flying around in the thread. We clearly can't even spare the time to attacking individuals here.

They have indigenes from the Swali community that are as qualified as those of us here or even more qualified. I served as a corps member in Bayelsa and stayed back for a few years after my service year. I pretty well understand the situation there.

It's unfortunate it degenerated to this. The Stakeholder or Community Affairs Manager was suppose to have handled their concerns proactively, except it is politically motivated.

For safety, Bayelsa is very conducive and safe. The people are very reasonable even when expressing their reservations.

These happenings are not uncommon in our clime. I'm sure they would address whatever the issues are expeditiously.

.....A staff just told me the HR team has agreed for physical CBT test for all graduate trainees. Necessary procedures are still pending which is still delaying the invitation for test. Once this is in place, they will get back to us ASAP. No aptitude test for EH but just interview stage.

The above could be the outcome of the virtual meeting they had last Sunday which I don't have any information about yet.

The 90,000 was the total number of eligible applicants. @leks4sure, remember most of them opted for virtual testing so the number of the eligible applicants that opted for testing at physical locations might be less than 25,000.

If they now decide to conduct all the testing at the physical locations because of the current phase of ease of lockdown, there would clearly be need to reduce drastically the number of eligible applicants for the test. That's completely understandable. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I'm a serious - minded individual. I can't indulge in the frivolities a few persons here insinuated, even in my dreams. I got the information I shared last week from one of their HR Managers that's coordinating the recruitment. They have sent letters to the 15 physical locations already including my location which is University of Port Harcourt.

I mentioned that they were to have another virtual meeting last Sunday of which I don't know the outcome yet. For God's sake, the week is still on till Saturday.

I believe some of these negative and unfortunate remarks have kept some persons with beneficial information from sharing.

Same here oh boss. I opted for virtual test due to the pandemic. But I'll really prefer physical location. I guess virtual test may be tougher and may also have very serious complications along the way.

It's the same examination. I mean exactly the same questions and duration.

My FIFA job offer for the 2018 World Cup in Russia came after both a virtual aptitude test and a virtual interview.

15 physical location centres across the country.

All eligible applicants would be invited for the aptitude test.

About 90,000 total eligible applicants across the country and not the earlier mentioned 40,000 plus.

More applicants opted for the virtual testing mode.

It's CBT for both the virtual and physical location testing modes.

It's strictly merit based.

Expect your invites for the aptitude test by next week.

A few things like the total number of slots available for both GT and EH are still kept close to their chest.

You can trust me to share any beneficial information as soon as I'm privy to it.

The NCDMB in-house HR team had a virtual meeting yesterday and will be having another on Sunday. The invites for test will roll in by next week. They've assigned staff to different physical test locations across the country.

There are about 90k applicants that met the advertised requirements across the country with the North East with the lowest number of eligible applicants and the South South has the highest.

The advertised recruitment will be merit based.

For your information my immediate younger sister just did her medicals for a CBN job that wasn't even advertised internally, not to talk of on major national dailies.

They're people here that talk directly with the HMoSPR, the ES and other members of the Governing Council. The truth is, the pressure on them is overwhelming, It's only God that will make it happen for us.

What would it cost such a person to engage that personal phone number or the agency's social media platforms or official contacts on their website to verify the authenticity of the message?

The mentioned NCDMB recruitment disclaimer was clearly based on the fraudulent request of 1Million Naira for job slots and not on the authenticity of the advertised recruitment.

In March this year there was an NCDMB recruitment disclaimer on the authenticity of recruitment by NCDMB then when there was a widespread rumoured recruitment going on. You can easily confirm this on their official Instagram account or any other of their official social media accounts.

I believe there are persons that will be discouraged from participating in discussions here if such an irrelevant issue is put on the front burner. It was unfortunate for @tolaade1960 to refer to some persons here as uninformed when on the contrary he is the one that is oblivious of the issues.

Sure they can. They might also conclude the interviews for PhD OSS Applicants later this month.

PTDF takes care of all those and more. Just have your name on the final list of the awardees.
