Operation Ankara said that the Turkish Soldiers invasion into Syria with Armoured vehicles is part of an operation that is targeted in stopping crises in Idlib province.

According to a military statement, forces would set up observation posts to assist in monitoring the de-escalated zone in line with an agreement with Russia and Iran.

Idlib is largely controlled by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a jihadist alliance linked to al-Qaeda.

Turkey backs the opposition to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and last year supported a rebel offensive against so-called Islamic State (IS) along the border in neighbouring Aleppo province.

That operation also served to prevent a US-backed alliance that is led by the Kurdish Popular Protection Units (YPG) seizing the territory and reaching Afrin.

President of World Bank, Jim Yong Kim, said on Thursday President Muhammadu Buhari request the commission move all attention, focus to the Northern region of Nigeria.

Yong Kim unveiled this after World Bank ordered the immediate release of N30m to improve teaching and learning facilities at a UBE Primary School with 22,240 pupils in Rigasa, Kaduna.

The World Bank representatives, Dr Olatunde Adekola, said that the intervention was for the immediate upgrade of facilities at the school.

Kim and the Managing Director, International Monetary Fund, Christine Legarde, also advised Nigeria Government to invest in things that could boost the economy, in a separate press conference in Washington DC.

The Nigerian Navy has commenced recruitment of suitably qualified graduates through the Nigerian Navy Direct short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 25.

Catalan President, Carles Puigdemont said on Tuesday he accepted the mandate of the people of the region to become an Independent republic, but grave an indulgence of suspending its immediate implementation so as to give room for dialogue.

Computer Hackers in North Korea has stolen detailed wartime operational plans involving its US ally, including hundreds of other high classified military documents from South Korea, reports unveiled on Tuesday.

Lawmaker for ruling Democratic Party, Rhee Cheol-Hee, said the hackers broke into the S’Korea’s military database in September, 2017 and gained access to 235 gigabytes of sensitive data, according to Ilbo daily reports.

Among the hacked documents was Operational Plans 5015 for use in case of war with the North and including procedures for “decapitation” attacks on leader Kim Jong-Un, the paper quoted Rhee as saying.

Rhee, a member of parliament’s defence committee, could not be reached for comment but his office said he had been quoted correctly.

The report comes amid heightened fears of conflict on the Korean peninsula, fuelled by US President Donald Trump’s continued threats of military action against Pyongyang to tame its weapons ambitions.

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari’s wife Mrs. Aisha Buhari said the long absence of Buhari from Nigeria due to ill-health emboldened the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

Nigeria has commenced trial of over 6,600 people who were accused of being members of the Islamic Boko Haram group operating in the North-Eastern part of the country.

The trials are being held in secret by civilian court judges at a military facility in north-central Kainji town, BCC reports stated.

Rights activists say they are concerned about the lack of transparency in what have been described as the biggest terrorism trial in Nigeria’s history.

20,000 people have been estimated to have been killed in Boko Haram’s eight-year insurgency and Only nine people have been convicted so far of being involved in the unrest.

Ministry of Justice told some correspondent that Four judges have started trials at the military centre in Kainji, Abuja.

Up to 1,670 people will be tried in the coming weeks with a further 5,000 people after that, our reporter says.
More than 1,600 suspects are being held at the centre, where many have spent years.

In a report in 2015, Amnesty International said that the military had arbitrarily detained about 20,000 people as part of its campaign to end the insurgency.

One man who was held by security forces for nearly three years before being released without charge, said that his family had thought he was dead.

Barrister Alhassan Muhammad, who represented suspects in Nigeria’s first trial of Boko Haram militants beginning in 2009, says these trials could be very slow starting with the simple fact that each and every defendant’s name must be read out as the court session opens.

The National Centre for Disease Control, Abuja, has said that 31 cases of the monkeypox virus have been recorded in seven states.

They Nigerian states include Bayelsa, Rivers, Ekiti, Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Ogun and the Cross River.

The brother to Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Prine Emmanuel Kanu, said that Nigeria Army on Sunday raided their home searching for technical items.

According to Kanu’s younger brother, the soldiers, however, took away from the house items such as television sets, generator and clothes.

Egyptian Court on Sunday has sentenced 13 members of an Islamist group that has carried out numerous attacks in the country’s city – In and around Cairo -, justice officials said.

The defendants are suspected of links to Ajnad Misr (Soldiers of Egypt), a militant group that has claimed responsibility for attacks on security forces in the capital and Giza province since the army ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in 2013.

The prosecution has accused the 13 group members of detonating explosives, killing soldiers, police and civilians in over 20 targeted locations.

The sentences are subject to review by the country’s mufti, the official interpreter of Islamic law, although his verdict is not binding.

Thousands of people calling for Spanish unity have attended rallies in the capital Madrid after Sunday’s disputed referendum for Catalan independence.

Other demonstrations including the Catalan city of Barcelona, have also been held urging political dialogue.

Protesters dressed in white gathered with signs saying “Spain is better than its leaders” and “let’s talk”.

Businesses have continued to announce their departure from the Catalan region amid the ongoing political uncertainty.

Nollywood Actress, Caroline Danjuma said that Nigeria popular music Artiste, David Adeleke a.k.a Davido knows about the death of his friend Mr. Tagbo Umeike.

The Ekiti state Government has condemned the arrest of its commissioners by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission describing it as unconstitutional.

The Commissioner for Finance, Toyin Ojo, and the Accountant General of the state, Yemisi Owolabi, were picked by the EFCC for allegedly misapplying the state’s resources.

The Attorney General of the state, Mr. Kolapo Kolade, described the action of the EFCC as unconstitutional and a display of what he called executive lawlessness, while speaking in a press conference in Abuja on Monday.

He said a subsisting court order was issued in 2016 by a Federal High Court in a suit FHC/AD/CS/32/2016 in which the EFCC was a defendant.

The order, according to him, barred the EFCC from “arresting, detaining or investigating any person or persons whether past or present officials in the Ekiti State Government without any report of indictment by the Ekiti State House of Assembly.”

Researchers said People who skip breakfast or eat poorly to start the day are twice as likely to develop hardened arteries, which can lead to deadly heart disease.

The study in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology uncovered signs of damage to the arteries long before symptoms or disease developed.

Researchers said their findings could offer an important tool in the fight against cardiovascular disease, the world’s top killer, which took 17.7 million lives in 2015, according to the World Health Organization.

“People who regularly skip breakfast likely have an overall unhealthy lifestyle,” said study author Valentin Fuster, director of Mount Sinai Heart and editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

“This study provides evidence that this is one bad habit people can proactively change to reduce their risk for heart disease.”

The report was based on 4,000 middle-aged office workers in Spain. Participants were followed for six years.

About one in four ate a high-energy breakfast, which included 20 percent or more of the day’s calories.

Most people in the study — 70 percent — ate a low-energy breakfast that gave them five to 20 percent of their daily calorie intake.

Governor of Ebonyi state, David Umahi has advised Peoples Democratic Party, opposition party to President Muhammadu Buhari to stop its critics to enhance development in Nigeria.

United State President, Donald Trump, has described the Secretary of state attempted talks with North Korea over its nuclear programme as waste of time.

Trump tweeted, “Save your energy Rex, we’ll do what has to be done!” after it emerged the US had lines of communication with Pyongyang.

But Rex Tillerson disclosed that on Saturday that North Korea had little interest in dialogue concerning its nuclear threat.

The two countries have engaged in heated rhetoric in recent months.

The US wants North Korea to halt its weapons programme, which has seen it perform repeated missile tests, as well as claim to have successfully tested a miniaturised hydrogen bomb which could be loaded on to a long-range missile.

But the attempted dialogue seems to be a waste with President Trump’s approach to the issue.

On Sunday, he tweeted, in reference to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un: “I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man…”

He did not elaborate on what he means by “we’ll do what has to be done”.

Moreover, a senior US official, who asked for clarification later, told Reuters: “At a time when North Korea is continuing its provocations, the president does not think now is the time to negotiate with them.”

The official also said the diplomatic channels were mainly used to discuss American citizens detained by North Korea Pyongyang.

Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont says the Spanish region has won the right to statehood following a contentious referendum that was marred by violence.

Puigdemont said the door had been opened to a unilateral declaration of independence.

Catalan officials later said 90% of those who voted backed independence in Sunday’s vote. The turnout was 42.3%.
Spain’s constitutional court had banned the vote and hundreds of people were injured as police used force to try to block voting.

Most wanted Jihadist in Australia, Neil Prakash, has fully admitted to have contributed to the activity of Islamic State Group.

The 27 year old, Prakash was arrested in Turkey a year ago while attempting to cross the Syria border with a theft Identity.

Prakash is currently facing charges in Turkey for joining IS and accused over terror plots in Australia and calls for lone-wolf attacks against the US.

The suspected IS member also claimed he had been forced to make Propaganda ads calling for Australia’s attack.

Australia has called on his extradition so as to face charges at home.

When asked whether he was responsible for IS plots in Australia, he told the court: “I had something to do with [it], but I was not 100% responsible.”

“I am sorry for the trouble I have caused,” he said.

Prakash told the hearing in the town of Kilis that he had fled IS after seeing its “true face” and realising “what they taught me was wrong”.

US Secretary of state, Rex Tillerson said that Washington was probing the possibility of having talks with Pyongyang was experiencing a little progress.

Mr Tillson said during a trip to china that “We have lines of communications to Pyongyang, but We’re not in a dark situation.”

Later, the US state department confirmed numbers of communication channels open with Pyongang, but recorded little progress.

However, Department spokeswoman, Heather Nauert said, “Despite assurances that the United States is not interested in promoting the collapse of the current regime, the North Korean officials have shown no indication that they are interested in or are ready for talks concerning dropping Nuclear threats.”

But attempts at dialogue seem to be at odds with President Donald Trump’s own attitude to the issue. Just last month, he said “talking is not the answer”.

Nigeria Super Eagle attacker, Alex Iwobi has raised blames on himself for not been Arsenals First Eleven and vows to regain his place in the Club.

Nigeria Coach, Gernot Rohr has invited Iwobi to play against the Zambia in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier, as he enjoyed a successful breakthrough season during year’s campaign.

But performance this season has shown that Iwobi has fallen down the pecking order since coming of age in 2016/17.

Iwobi has struggled to find the consistent game time that he started to receive in the middle of last season, With Wenger reinventing the Gunners’ formation since the end of last season.

The 21-year-old has struggled to fit into the 3-5-2 formation implemented by Wenger as Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac occupies the regular wide positions.

Iwobi while speaking to standard, revealed it was not easy to get used to falling down the pecking order.

“It was hard but something I had to learn from. If you are not performing consistently at a club like Arsenal, then there are other players ready to take the opportunity,” Iwobi added that he has learnt in a rough way.

“I wasn’t involved as much as I wanted to be but I just had to be patient, still have the same attitude, work hard in training and wait for my chance again.

“Obviously, I am an attacking player, so when you are an attacking player, you need to create goals and get goals and that’s the main thing for me. People in my position were doing better than me in that aspect of the game, which is to eventually win games, and that’s something I had to work on.

Kentucky Police said that Group of Prisoners sneak out of jail this week, steals from a bargain stores from the city and then broke back and returned to their cells.

According to Mississippi news reports, the inmates, identified as Levontaye Ellington, Travis Baker, Maurice Robertson and Jacquiez Williams broke out of the Holmes-Humphreys County Correctional Facility in Lexington Tuesday by hopping a fence.

The men walked less than a mile to a Dollar General chain store after closing and swiped anything they could grab.

Lexington police, chief Robert Kirlin said according to the received reports that, “They stole cigarettes, cigarette lighters, phones and just items they felt they could sell in jail.”

NYpost said,, rather than extend their newfound freedom, the foursome inexplicably snuck back into the jail, undetected, baffling police.

“You are already in jail, but you want to break out and break back in?” the chief said. “That is just something. I heard it all.”

The inmates denied their involvement in the scheme, even though they were caught on store surveillance footage, according to the report.

Kirlin added that the inmates were pined by the Police, due to the crime the committed “Just looking at the type of clothing they had on and just one of the bags they had put some of the merchandise in.”

Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola on Friday said that he had no problems with Sergio Aguero having accident in Amsterdam on Thursday.

According to reports, the 29-year-old Argentine going to the airport after watching and being entertained by singer Maluma performance.

Guardiola said, “I am happy that Aguero is OK, that is the most important”.

The striker suffered a broken rib in the car accident and will not be able to play against English Premier League rivals, Chelsea.



The Spanish manager said he did not know how long Aguero would be sidelined, and added that he only discovered his striker was in the Netherlands early on Friday.

“I think days off are to be happy. I want the players to be happy. Always I am a manager who doesn’t like to train every day.

“I think the players have to rest mentally and physically. They can enjoy their lives. I want my players to have fun. If they decide to go there, they decide to go there. It is OK for me.”

The Kaduna State Government said that it had gotten a bench warrant from the court on Thursday to arrest members of the Coalition of Northerners who gave quit notice to Ndigbo to leave or be forces to vacate the region.

The quit notice deadline is October 1, 2017 and this was in spite of the claimed withdrawal by the group.

The coalition groups, include the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum led Shettima Yerima, had in July gave all the Igbo resident in the 19 states of the North a three-month ultimatum to quit or be forced out after the expiration of the October 1, 2017 deadline.

They also asked all northerners resident in the South-East to get prepared and return to the North.

The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai had earlier ordered the arrest of the principal actors who signed the ‘Kaduna declaration.’

The declaration was signed by Nastura Ashir Sharif (Arewa Citizens Action for Change); Ambassador ShettimaYerima (Arewa Youth Consultative Forum); Aminu Adam (Arewa Youth Development Foundation); Alfred Solomon (Arewa Students Forum); and Abdul-Azeez Suleiman (Northern Emancipation Network) as well as JoshuaViashman (Northern Youth Vanguard)......
