A lady on Instagram (@rachelg4791) has called out Nollywood actor Mike Ezuruonye for allegedly defrauding her of thousands of pounds.

According to the lady, Mike stopped taking her calls and refused to meet her in the UK because she had less than the amount of money he asked of her. She claimed he also went on to block her on Instagram because she blasted him after realising he was a scammer.

@rachelg4791 shared her story via Laura Ikeji’s comment section when the mother of one asked her fans to name celebrities that had blocked them.

Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka has opened up on the reason he is hardly in attendance at other comedians shows.

Speaking with Saturday Beats, he attributed this to timing saying most of the comedians stage their shows around the same time.

In his words;

“I hardly attend other comedians’ event because we stage our shows around the same time. For instance, AY stages his show on Easter Sunday as well as mine. I do not have an issue with any comedian in Nigeria. I would be at Okey Bakassi’s show. I appear for shows when I am not working because my loyalty is to my family and what makes a family happy is the money the breadwinner is able to bring to the table. It would be foolhardy for me to headline a free show when I have a gig. It is the same way I would not want someone to ignore a paid show just to do a free gig for me. In the past, people who had been billed to perform at my show for free had called to inform me that they had a paid show to attend and cancelled mine. But I did not hold any grudge against them because I totally understood. For me, it is all about work and this is what I use to send my children to school. Once I have an opportunity to get paid for my services, why do I want to leave it for a non-paying gig? However, I am friends with everybody,” he said.

On people saying he isn’t funny as a comedian, he said;

“I have heard people say that I am not funny but what I always tell them is that Gbenga Adeyinka is not funny but I am the hardest working comedian in Nigeria and even Ali Baba says that. If the people who pay me continue to pay me, then there is something I am doing right and my loyalty should be to those people who pay and say I am funny than to those who are idle and searching for funny people.”

Panic took over following the delivery of a strange baby at a hospital in Abia state. According to Facebook user Cynthia Chioma, the mother of the strange baby survived the delivery but lost the baby some moments after.

Chioma wrote;

”He is an anencephalic baby,this kind of birth defect is caused by lack of folic acid in the body of the woman. If a woman’s body cuts short folic acid and she conceives, the lack of folic acid in her body will result to this where a part of the skull or the whole skull will be completely gone. These babies grow like normal pregnancies but once the baby is born and detached from the mother the baby dies. Lots of us don’t know if our body cuts short folic acid until the person must have taken in and will discover she is carrying an anencephalic baby maybe at 5months. So its important that once a woman is ready to start trying out for a child or gets married or is having unprotected sex that can lead to pregnancy, she should start taking folic acid to prevent things like this”

Mr Hyginus Omeje, the Lagos State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has disclosed that 56, 767 driving licences were yet to be collected by their owners.

Omeje who disclosed this on Saturday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) urged the owners of the licences to collect them as the command would soon embark on “Operation Show Your Driving Licence.’’

He added that the corps would embark on the mission across all units of the command.

“We are embarking on this assignment so that motorists will come to our office to collect their driving’ licences.

“We have no backlog of new driving licences in Lagos State.

“There are 56,767 licenses yet to be collected by their owners.

“We have sent SMS to their owners that their licences are ready for collection but they ignored responding to our our messages,’’ the FRSC boss said.

Omeje frowned at the attitude of some road users driving without valid licences saying that such licences remained the only certification to drive on the road.

According to him, the fine for a driver driving without a valid licence is N10, 000 and the offender must produce the licence within 24 hours.

Omeje said that if after 24 hours such offender could not produce a valid licence, the vehicle of such offender would be impounded.

He said that in such situation, it would be assumed that the driver was not licensed to drive.

Omeje said that the corps was not interested in the fines or depriving anyone the comfort of his vehicle, but advised motorists to do the right thing and be safety conscious.

He, however, revealed that between Feb. 26 and March 2, no fewer than 4, 644 licenses were collected by the applicants. (NAN)

A woman and her kid has been chased out by the husband due to her inability to bare a male child.

Arrived Lagos State this morning at 2:07am and surprise to see a woman and her 10yr old daughter sleeping in front of a Bank.

I observed them from afar, came closer to avoid waking a mad woman. I woke them up and ask to know why they were sleeping in such a place.

“Trouble started when my husband brought in a new wife because i couldn’t have a male child. Last week Saturday at about 1:00am, he woke me and my Daughter (Amara), told us to leave his house in presence of his new wife. I didn’t utter any word, no fight, he helped me parked my things out and that of my daughter. My luggage was much so I left some at the Security Post. I had nowhere to go at that godly hour except traveling back to Imo State but have no transport and even where to stay in Imo State”. (Story Cut)

Gov M. A, Abubakar Condoles With Family of Deceased Students, Teachers, Promises Adequate Care and Rehabilitation of Survivors



Governor M. A. Abubakar had condoled with the families of the students and teachers of Command Junior Secondary School Misau, who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident while returning from an excursion trip in Kano.



The Governor who suspended all official assignments was in Misau personally to meet with the family of the deceased. He prayed for the souls of the departed and strength for the families to carry on. The Governor also condoled the Emir of Misau on the tragedy, saying that it is very terrible for the state to lose her young and promising stars.



In addition, Governor Abubakar said that Governor will not abandon the families. He disclosed that the two survivors - a teacher and a student - currently in the hospital, will receive adequate medical care and rehabilitation. He extended the condolences of President Muhammadu Buhari who he said was sad about the unfortunate incident and is mourning with the state.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says the prudent management of resources and the firm stand against corruption, have set President Muhammadu Buhari’s leadership from others.

Speaking at the Kogi Economic and Investment Summit in Lokoja on Tuesday, Professor Osinbajo said the Buhari presidency can be scored very high despite daunting challenges in the economy.
