I didn't go through ETX-NG; I had a contact at Exams and Records (who also works for ETX-NG). So I was dealing with the guy directly. My verification has been sent to WES; my profile on WES was updated mid last week. My ECA report should be out on 6 June. I think you should pay ETX-NG; apparently, it takes a while for WES to acknowledge verification; so the earlier the better.
Hello, please can i get your contact for uniben verification.
Thanks

Let me give you an insight into Ontario licensing...

If you have an original nigeria driver's license which is over 2 years old + frsc driving reference letter => you are eligible to do the G road test immediately (only 1 attempt), if you fail, you go back to start from G2 road test, then after a year you can do the G road test again.
Hi, please can you clarify. My license is less than 1 year but that is because i just renewed. My first issuance was 10 years ago. So are they looking only at the current license or the date of first issuance?

Hi newmum,

You can get someone to submit for him and pay for courier.
In my case, i submitted for my mum and filled in my address for courier at vfs as i was not allowed to pick it up on her behalf. Upon delivery of the passport, the UPS delivery person collected the slip given at vfs.

However, i think there is an age limit that enables pick-up for a parent, my mum was not up to the age so i did not pursue that route.

Newmum0615:
Hi everyone,

My dad's application was approved today. Applied on the 15th of October, Biometrics done 23rd October. Biometrics Validity letter update 19th of Dec (don't understand the purpose of this letter), Passport request letter received 20th Dec. I thank God. It was silence all through, and they stuck to the 64 days timeline. E be like say dem remain say Christmas na next week and they rushed it out.

So, for those that have used VFS Lagos, I know that someone can submit the passport for him, but can someone collect on his behalf. He is not in Lagos and I don't want him spending flight money to go and collect the passport. The VFS site states that someone can collect for him but I have heard from people that they don't allow it. Can someone with experience confirm please? Also, where can I download the VFS Consent form? I can't find it anywhere on their site.

Thanks.

I can only speak of Ontario. PEO allows direct application for P.Eng. However, tIt is still left to their discretion and evaluation to determine if you should be asked to sit for technical exams, come for interview or do both. In the end they would decide wether you get EIT without acknowledging your experience(meaning you would wait at least 4years to P.Eng) or EIT awaiting Canadian experience(1 year left to P.Eng). For details consult the website of the licensing body for the province of interest.
Okay, thank you einsteino. I have looked through some of the provinces engineering licensing website and will continue to do so until i finally decide. I just wanted first hand experience of a nigerian.

einsteino:
I would advise you apply for P.Eng rather than EIT. Wether this is possible would depend on the provincial regulator you choose to go with. If you do succeed and meet the academic requirements, you would be given E.I.T status pending when you get 1 year canadian engineering experience.
Please can you advice which of the provinces would permit direct application to P.Eng.
Also, do we need to write any exams?
Thanks.

PPR announcement. Silent reader here.

I learnt a lot from this forum and it's only fair to give back in the way I can. My pre-ITA journey was very smooth. Wrote IELTS once, evaluated only masters degree with WES (and did not require WAEC). I got ITA the day after i entered the pool. I also had a valid TRV so i was sure i would get PPR in 3 months maximum. Lo and behold it was not to be (it took 11 months). Below is my timeline;

Family of 2
VO: Ottawa
AOR: 26 Oct 2018
Biometrics Passed: 27 Nov 2018
RPRF: 27 Dec 2018

Silence

ADR: 11 April 2019 (supplementary info and CV for spouse)
Security screening: started 15 April 2019
ADR: 30 Aug 2019 (remedical, my 1st medical was to expire Nov, 1st)
Medicals done at IOM 16 Sept 2019
Medical Passed: 22 Sept 2019
PPR: 23 Sept 2019

I wish everyone still in the process good luck and encourage those with a lengthy application like mine to remain patient; as long as your eligibility is passed, PPR will surely come.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Newww: 5:08pm On Sep 17, 2019
Hi, like everyone else have said, try to hold on, i am sure you are almost at the finish line.
Please order gcms note if you have not already done so. Once the note is fine, it is just a matter of time. I am sure you also know the status of your eligibility, criminality and security.
I understand because i am 11 months post AOR this month however, i just got request to redo medicals, so i know i am getting close. Just hold on a little longer.

millybushy:
Hi guys,

I am thinking of withdrawing my application as I am so tired of waiting.

My application is 13 months post-AOR.

Now the wait is tiring and I want to withdraw my application. I am an in-Canada applicant and my work experience is from Nigeria.

Hi, just to let you know you are not alone. I have also crossed 8 months, Ottawa VO. Though never ordered for notes but eligibility passed, i have been on security screening for months. We have no choice but to keep waiting.

Guys, I’m 8months post Aor, Ottawa Vo, stuck on Eligibility Met. Anyone else in this hard situation?

This really made me laugh. I hope you get it soon. You are at the finish line.
I was exactly like you, i thought i would get mine in 3 months, but it's been 7 months and background check has not even been done. I think these days Ottawa VO is the worst.
I pray for your speedy PPR this week.

My AOR is September 15th 2018. Yes. Its almost 8 months 2 weeks (for those who believe they are the last in December AOR to receive PPR; saw a comment like that and silently chucked). Many of us are out there... Mostly just exhausted to comment...as most of the peeps we applied with have landed. Lol. This process can take a lot from you... Be prepared.

It is so exhausting to have waited so long and then told it was approved... but no proof... Lols ( lawyer speaking)

My question is if anyone has experience this and what more can i do in the case? Is it possible for AVO to do any how after Oga at the top has approved?

See, not every one will get that 3 months timeline... Not everyone will get the before 6months timeline. Some like me ...will for whatever reason best known to CIC will be tested in patience... Be ready.
Hopefully soon i can complete it by saying " Be ready, though you pass through the furnace of patience the fire shall not burn thee because thou shall come out victorious"...[/quote]

@adiahabasi @everyone

Hello, please I also want to apply for my mum as soon as I get my COPR. What do I fill for accommodation details on her application form considering I want her to land with me and I won't have an accommodation by then.

Thanks.
