Hi Everybody,

My sister and my mum’s passport has been stolen and they are to submit their passport to Canada to finalize their application. She just obtained the police report and affidavit. She took it to VFS Global in Nigeria but was told to email IRCC attaching the documents. Does anybody know which IRCC email she can send that to so they can have an extension? We are desperate here. They are required to submit their passports by Feb 11.

Good day Everyone. My husband travelled to canada on a study permit last year, I applied for SOWP but unfortunately I was refused based on funds. Got an admission for another program which will start this month ,hence, he has applied for study permit extension but it's yet to come out. Can I go ahead with my SOWP application or I have to wait for the extension letter to be out before applying.

Submitted Web form with Medical sheet Dec 5, 2022
Passed medical Dec 7, 2022
Apparently we forgot to upload bank statement.

We decided to get new bank statements., uploaded it today Dec 12, 2022

Got PPR today Dec 12, 2022, 10 mins after uploading the bank statement.

Funds:

Naira account: 8mil
Euro account: 8,000 Euro
Pounds account: 6,000 GBP
Canadian Account: 14,000 CAD

I still cannot understand how we forgot to upload the statement initially.

So thankful our mistake did not cost us the Visa.

Based on my study permit that has just been approved can I apply for work permit for him on the old portal creating a new profile or I do it on my own profile.

His visiting visa or work permit will take a long time. I will advice you check the processing periods for each application. None is fast on the old or new portal
I applied for an Open spousal work permit for someone in October 2021 and she go approved in July, 2022.

Thank you my concern now is should i just wait for the response on visit visa or should I open an account on GCkey to apply for work visa. I just dont want to mess it all up

I have a situation and I am here to seek advice.

My husband and I applied for visitor visa via the new portal on June 10 with a letter of invitation from my husband's uncle and a letter of introduction from my work place. We did our biometrics on June 20 and have not received any other correspondence.

The situation is that my husband's uncle just passed on this Tuesday and we are at a loss for what to do and how it could affect our visa decision considering that we were to stay at his place during our visit.

I am wondering if I should raise a web form to report this new situation or just wait and see what happens next.

It's indeed a great pleasure to be in your midst today. I wish to bring the attention of the public towards the FSW & CEC Express Entry Draws that is set to resume tomorrow being on the July 6, 2022. It would be an amazing idea if you guys could also explore this route for there are many on this platform who don't know how to navigate their way through this immigration pathway of becoming a Permanent resident of Canada. If I take the time to assess the participants (both active and passive readers) on this platform, you all will definitely see that over 55.5% of individuals here qualify to become a PR but undivulged to them due to lack of rudimentary knowledge about the whole process. Some see Express Entry stream as a difficult one, hence focusing all their energy and attention to study permit.

It is relevant to say that while you're pursuing your dream of studying in Canada, you can also explore other immigration streams like Express Entry, for it is also feasible to be an international student and have your PR before graduation. This will be at your own benefit as your exorbitant international student fees will be slashed/reduced to that of a Canadian citizen.

As clearly stated on IRCC immigration regulations and manuals, - having 2 intents (1 for temporary residence and 1 for permanent residence) is legitimate, insofar you can demonstrate that you will depart Canada at the end of your authorized stay as required by section R179. On this note, you can have both Study Permit and Express Entry profile running concurrently!

Don't waste more time! Let this piece of information be an insight and eye opener to the smart ones here especially now that the borders have finally reopened. So, you can be in a position to receive an ITA through EE stream.

3. Language Proficiency - Have a good score in your IELTS exam by scoring 8,7,7,7 and
4. Show proof of work experience. At minimum, you need at least one year of skilled work experience within the past 10 years that will match your primary occupation in your immigration application. To get the full 15 points, you need at least six years of eligible work experience. Having only one year of work experience will get you nine points. Two to three years is enough for 11 points, and four to five years equates to 13 points.

Kindly enlighten me....will my express entry profile be an issue, I am just in the pool, no ITA yet, never done diometric or medicals for Canada before.
