Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Was Supposed To Graduate With A First-class But Made 2:1(second Class Upper) B by ngbede1984: 10:48am On Aug 11, 2022 |
lavylilly: I was supposed to graduate with a First-Class but made 2:1(second class upper) because a lecturer vowed that I can't be the best student ever in Computer Science Department.
What was my offence?
He said I was so insolent to publicly correct a wrong notion he postulated in class during one of his lectures, also, since he didn't graduate with a First Class then nobody else would be in the department as long as he is alive.
This happened about 12 years ago.
He was the head of the conspiracy that marked me down in my final year...
I was very depressed the day I collected my call-up letter to the National Youth Service Corps and saw I was posted to Kebbi one of the educationally less developed states in the country.
Going out of the school, I met Dr. Irukefe at the walkway and he said " I heard about your posting."
He laughed and continued " It doesn't cost much to give your details to someone at NYSC, I want to see how your computer knowledge will be useful in a state where you can count the number of computers, you felt you know something l will see how you will make it in this profession. Best of Luck". And he walked away.
I was stunned because I wanted to serve in Lagos, so this was how I got Kebbi.
Later, a reliable source told me he said that I should thank my stars that he didn't make me have an extra year in school.
I didn't know the hatred was so much. I was diligent in my studies because of my poor background, my parent struggled to send me to school.
I went to the NYSC camp in Dakingari, very discouraged because I wanted to serve in Lagos where an IT firm had promised to pay me 20,000 Naira apart from my NYSC allowance.
Three days to the end of the camp, a man came asking if there is anyone who can repair a Laptop computer. I volunteered and successfully repaired it. He said his thanks, collected my phone number, and left. He didn't even pay me for my effort. I thought I was going to teach in a school, When I received my placement letter, I was shocked that I was posted to the office of the Senator representing one of the constituencies in the state.
I was astonished. More amazed, when my phone rang about an hour and the man who came with the faulty Laptop was waiting for me in a Jeep.
He drove me to meet the senator, who thanked me profusely for saving his laptop because it contained bills that he wanted to sponsor at the Senate for his constituency.
The Senator offered me a job as his Personal Assistant and computer instructor at the computer institute he had set up in the state. He laid down his plans on how he wanted young students in his constituency to be computer literate and I am to be the coordinator.
My salary was over 80,000 Naira, with a furnished apartment, and medical allowance. I had access to his cars, and the first contract I executed made me a millionaire because I was asked to procure laptops and accessories for all the senior civil servants in the state ministries.
His company was given the contract.
It was from this state that I was able to secure a scholarship to study after three years of working with my principal after NYSC. He didn't want me to go because the computer school was a success story but he facilitated my comfortable arrival in the United States.
All this happened within 12 years.
I have a Ph.D. in Forensic and Information Technology.
Not quite a long I was speaking at the conference of World Forensic Scientists in Japan. After delivering my lecture, there was a standing ovation from the participants all over the world.
Among them was my old-time lecturer, after the proceeding, I walked up and greeted him, he acted like he couldn't recall who I was so I reminded his exact words which were "let me see how you will make it in this profession. I am the boy you said those words to.
He was astonished.
I advised, "try to be a mentor to the young students, you don't know who and what they will become."
"Not only have I made it from this profession but internationally am recognized, you must have been seeing my publications, It was I who paid $5500 to sponsor your trip for this conference under the auspices of GRAND Inc. I owed the company.
"Sir, yearly you will be invited, to speak at a conference like this, it's my way of saying thank you for influencing my posting to Kebbi state that particular year. If you had not done it I would not have made it to where I am today. You meant evil but God turn it into good.
"I hope your hotel room (Room 312) has a nice view of Tokyo?"
He stood rooted to the spot, he was too dazed to speak as I was taken away to meet other professionals in the tech business.
He later sent a mail of apology
when ASUU went on strike, I was informed he was boasting at the department in Nigeria that he is the only lecturer in Africa, who was invited to participate at the GRAND Inc World Conference and subsequently he would be one of the speakers. I guess a leopard never changes its spot.
I am glad he is not poor but he didn't meet me where he left me 12 years ago.
No matter what anyone does to you, continue to be hardworking, a man's gift one day will always make a way for him.
©️ Wow! Very impressive, man no be God… You’re large-hearted. |

BluntNigerian: I have never in my life registered for this NIN stuff. I mean, I haven't done the NIN registration at any point in time before. But I was surprised to get a NIN number when I dailed *346#. .. How do I verify directly from the NIMC, that the NIN number I got is mine? .. Note: I wouldn't want to verify the NIN number from any third-party website.... I would like to verify it directly from the NIMC, or directly from the NIMC Official Website. Good news: So many Nigerians have NIN and they are unaware. The truth is that everyone that did their BVN when it was introduced in 2014 has NIN automatically assigned to them. Just dial *346# with the same number you registered for BVN and retrieve your NIN. Don't go to NIMC centres to queue, Covid19 is real. |

Politics › Re: Atiku Cannot Win Any Election, Even In His Local Government - Lauretta Onochie by ngbede1984: 9:45pm On Dec 05, 2017 |
NgeneUkwenu: Lauretta Onochie, special assistant on new media to President Muhammadu Buhari, says former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar cannot win in his local government if he contests the 2019 presidential election.
Abubakar, who defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday, was quoted to have said he will definitely beat Buhari, should he decide to seek re-election in 2019.
But speaking on Politics Today, a programme on Channels TV, Onochie said, “Atiku has lost touch with reality”.
Onochie said: “Atiku may have had that weight some years ago but over the years he’s been losing that weight and at the moment, I can tell you the even in his local government area in his native Adamawa, he can’t win any election.
“So where is the weight? I think Alhaji Abubakar Atiku has lost touch with reality; I think he needs to check again.
“He is known to hobnob from one party to the other when he cannot have control in that party.
“President Buhari is not competing with him at the moment. What he’s trying to do is to pull President Buhari out of the good work he’s doing and to come to wallow in the mud with him.
“The president also knows that the ban on politics has not been lifted; so, he is not going to come out to wallow in the mud with him.”
On Abubakar’s claim that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had failed Nigerians, Onochie said “absolute bunkum! There is nothing that is further from the truth than what the former vice-president Atiku Abubakar has said.
“Nigeria was on its knees when this present government came into place and it was the same PDP that he has now returned to that has kept Nigeria on its knees for a period of 16 years. It was not under the APC that the economy of the nation almost collapsed right under our eyes.
“I don’t see how this government has caused this problem that it is grappling with today. And this government is trying very hard to clean the mess that this government made over the last 16 years.
“Nobody should expect that these problems will be sorted out in three years. It is not done anywhere.
“As we speak, there is no inch of this country that is still under the occupation of Boko Haram. A lot needs to be done and this government is doing more.”
Asked why the APC has been unable to deliver on its mandate to provide employment, Onochie said the money laundered in the previous administration is to blame.
She, however, added that the Buhari-led government cannot be said to have failed as “jobs are being created every day. It is doing all the best it can. I will not accept nor agree that this government has failed in the aspect of job creation”.
https://www.thecable.ng/219862-2 Buhari has not fulfilled one election promise. He narrowly won Jonathan with 2.5 million votes. Those disappointed with Buhari is over 5 million. He can't win. APC should get ready to forget the BMC and their e-rants. They know they have a tough job ahead. The vote in the north will be divided. THE BUHARI TRAGEDY; HOW DID WE GET HERE? That President Muhammadu Buhari lacks both the intellectual, mental and emotional wherewithal to preside over even an Umunna meeting in his Daura village has never been in doubt. He remains a pathetic excuse for a President. Even the dark Goggled tyrant, Abacha, wasn't this terrible. Abacha was simply a thieving dictator and most of his tyranny were actually not unconnected with his desire to bury the June 12 ghost. So there is a sense in which it can be argued that Abacha's madness had a method. But this man here?? He seems quite uniquely sophisticated in the ways of inflicting pain, misery, death, wars and woes on his fellow Nigerians. It does appear he enjoys it, too. His is a government deeply rooted in official roguery, banditry and brigandage. Under this Katsina born ex-soldier, official bigotry, clannishness and demonic nepotism have all been institutionalized. In a nutshell, President Buhari is running an apartheid government premised on Northernization, Fulanization and Islamization. Ironically, even in his own government, he's but a pawn in the hands of the powerful #ScionsOfDanfodio calling the shot. But, This is not even my greatest pain. My greatest 'wonderment' remains how 15 millions men and women, some of whom lay claim to superior knowledge and higher intellect, failed to see the Buhari fraud for what it has always been despite the signs that were all too glaring for even a blind man not to have seen. History is alive and well with the records of gross human right abuses, tyranny, first class bigotry and criminal disdain for democratic processes and procedures which characterized Buhari's short but iniquitous stint in power some three decades ago. Practically everything happening under him today happened during his first missionary journey. The tragedy of this whole thing is that most of the so called intellectuals who foisted this disaster on Nigerians actually witnessed the calamity that was his 1st coming. In fact, some of them were direct victims. Under decree 4 promulgated specifically to gag free press, Buhari jailed Tunde Thompson and Nduka Irabor for publishing stories he says were embarrassing to his regime. But in 2015, Tunde Thompson was in Buhari campaign team chanting #SaiBaba. A tragic irony, isn't it? Even before 2015 poll, there were clear signs signalling the disaster that this man has always been. So, How did Professors, PhD holders and highly lettered men and women convince themselves that an ex treasonous dictator who failed woefully even with a loaded gun and a suspended constitution in his much younger age was the right man to fix a 21st century Nigeria under a democracy with its attendant bureaucratic bottleneck. Just how, He (Buhari) didn't initiate even a single economic program during his time as head of state. For over 3 decades that he was out of power, he did absolutely nothing to improve himself in anyway. He never run any business except his 150 legendary homosexual cows. He delivered no lecture. Wrote no book and organised no workshop even if it is on islamization and Fulanization -his forte. He made no attempt to contribute to the society in any way. All he did was come out every 4 years to contest, loose the election, engineer his minions to soak "Dogs and Baboons" in blood only to go back and wait for another 4 years. In 2011, he contested on the platform of the defunct CPC which had only one state of Nassarawa, yet, he vehemently refused to concede defeat. Even when his supporters were killing Nigerians in a post election violence provoked by his pre-election utterances, Buhari rejected all effort by the government of Jonathan to get him to halt the bloodshed by condemning the violence. In the end, over 800 Nigerians including youth corps members lay lifeless. Yet, Men who spent years suckling from the breast of knowledge swore that this same man was the political "Messiah" needed to gift Nigerians with Eldorado. How? I've heard some ex-Buharists justify their Buharism by claiming that Jonathan's incompetence made Buhari an option. But I believe its only a foolish car owner that will knowingly replace his incompetent driver with an unlicensed one who doesn't know the position of the ignition key in the vehicle. Education is supposed to equip one with the mental capacity to discern. Yet, our Professors, Lawyers, Doctors, Accountants and Academia's all failed to discern the Buhari fraud. Something Nkume my illiterate village clown was able to do successfully. Could it be that our education is truly over-rated?? By a concerns Nigerian# |

#Nollywood ACTRESS IYABO OJO IS A PROSTITUTE THAT USES JUJU ON PASTORS TO BED HER AND LAVISH HER WITH GIFTS churchmember tells @HNNAfrica
#HNNInvestigates #AccessNollywood Good morning Madam KOO. My name is Ebiye Patience and I'm a dedicated member of Salvation Ministries, Port Harcourt. Our Pastor, David Ibiyiomie is shamelessy frolicking with yoruba prostitute Iyabo Ojo. All these prostitutes in the name of actresses. We learnt that he has been spending the church's money on this girl and some other nollywood actresses to the point that Iyabo and Vivian Metchie had a nasty fight on him. After catching her in bed with a boy she picked from the club. She has used juju on our pastor. The range rover 2008 model she uses now used to be in our pastor garage before he dashed her. The Toyota corolla she claimed she bought her PA last year is one of the cars that her former minister ex boyfriend dumped her after church gave its members for christmas. This story was almost out last year but she paid off the press with cash and her body. She is a grade one harlot who picks little boys on the street to sleep with. Our pastor is gradually destroying Gods name as he is now a sugar daddy to iyabo ojo. Even though she paid press, I know madam KOO is one who can't be bought by money and will do investigation and let the world know the truth. @IyaboOjofespris and @DayoAmusa visits all herbalists everywhere. Our pastor is even building a house for this girl as I speak. They should stop destroying Nollywood. Pls fish out this prostitutes. Pastor has a hidden house in PH that's were he houses Iyabo anytime he wants to see her. She is also dating a series of men. Hustling between them all so that she can form big lifestyle with money gotten from them all. There is no herbalist that doesn't know her. She pretends to be nice but inside, she is a snake. She has a shop off Allen but she sells nothing. You can send someone there to investigate. You'd meet no one. Its a cover up for her prostitution business. She should definitely be exposed. Every prostitute must be fished out. God bless you ma.
I have reached out to Iyabo Ojo on these allegations. No response yet. #madamhnn

Politics › Re: Onnoghen Gets Nod To Be CJN by ngbede1984: 3:59pm On Feb 06, 2017 |
Hab24: •Presidency to submit name Those pushing for Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Walter Onnoghen’s confirmation are likely to carry the day. He has been cleared of all allegations impeding his appointment as the head of the nation’s Judiciary. The Presidency may send his name to the Senate for confirmation “any moment from now”, The Nation learnt yesterday. The nomination may either be sent by President Muhammadu Buhari or Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, depending on when the President’s vacation ends. He has asked for an extension. A security report on Justice Onnoghen is said to have been centred on “the fact that he is reform-minded and suitable for the anti-corruption agenda of the Buhari administration”. The Presidency is believed to have received the report. A government source said: “All hurdles against the nomination of Justice Walter Onnoghen as CJN have been resolved. He has been absolved of all allegations against him. “As a matter of fact, the nomination was delayed as a result of the need to address these allegations. Now, Justice Onnoghen has been given a clean bill of health. “Every allegation was investigated and proofs indicated that Onnoghen has no case to answer. The government went to this extent to ensure that the holder of the office of CJN is above board.” The source dismissed the insinuations that the delay in nominating Justice Onnoghen had to do with his being a Southerner. “There were issues against him and it became imperative to get to the roots of these allegations,” he said, adding: “More importantly, the outcome of the security checks rated Onnoghen as ‘reform-minded and suitable for anti-corruption agenda of Buhari administration’. http://thenationonlineng.net/onnoghen-gets-nod-cjn/ Is long over due, let the Presidency do the needful. |

Politics › David Mark Wins Re-run Election by ngbede1984(op): 8:17am On Feb 21, 2016 |
Senator David Mark yesterday emerged winner of
the rerun election conducted in Benue South
senatorial district by the Independent National
Electoral Commission.
The immediate past senate president and
candidate of Peoples Democratic Party defeated
his closest rival, Mr. Daniel Onje of All
Progressives Congress after winning in five of
the nine local government areas of Benue South
Senatorial district.
According to the results announced by the INEC
returning officer, Professor Isiaka Eneji. Mark
had 18,468 votes in Otukpo, his native local
government, while Onje polled 12,203.
In Obadigbo LGA, Mark scored 6,844 while Onje
scored 8,882. Others are Ado LGA, Mark 6,513,
Onje 6,370; Agatu LGA, Mark 7,986, Onje 3,456;
Okpokwu LGA, Mark 11,935, Onje 6,830; Apa
LGA - Mark 9,191, Onje 4,942.
By this victory in the court-ordered rerun poll,
which followed the nullification of his election by
the Court of Appeal, the former senate president,
who would be doing his fifth term at the upper
chamber, will retain the status of Nigeria’s
longest serving senator. He is also the country’s
longest served senate president.
The Court of Appeal, sitting in Makurdi, had on
November 28 last year nullified the election of
the former senate president, upturning his
confirmation last October as winner of the March
28, 2015 senatorial election by the election
petitions tribunal. The appeal court also ordered
a rerun of the poll within 90 days of its ruling.
Yesterday’s contest, which was held in a
generally peaceful atmosphere, was a straight
fight between Mark and Onje, a former students’
union leader. Mark is 68 years old, while Onje is
41. Benue South senatorial district is peopled
mainly by the Idoma, and Mark and Onje are of
the ethnic nationality. |
