smiley The main reason why politicians continue to steal is that they know they won't face any consequence for it cos all law enforcement agencies like the police, icpc and efcc have been rendered ineffective.every human being is born to be corrupt even u.s politicians but where grave consequences are imminent, one will think twice before compromising the law.
Sports › Re: Portugal Vs Sweden - World Cup Play-offs (1 - 0) On 15th November 2013 by nickvanilla(m): 1:04pm On Nov 16, 2013
enough of this messi, ronaldo debate.those two are a world.apart from other players.most football lovers around the world would put the two in the same class just to avoid heating up the already red hot rivalry.but ronaldo has really surprised me.honestly,i never expected him to reach the level he is today cos he doesn't have half the talent of messi.even neymar is more talented than him.he has shown the world dat thru hardwork and discipline one can conquer the world even while short of talents.ronaldo is a product of training while messi is pure talent.some of you didn't notice this but the goal he scored yesterday was very painful cos it involves turning the head spontaneously over 45 degrees.

although it's a tragic situation,i wanna ask in whose interest was the meetng postponed?in the interest of the students, ASUU, or the prof?its no secret now that majority of them want the strike called off.this group should stop being selfish.this country is not all about them.
Education › Re: ASUU Postpones Meeting Over Iyayi's Death by nickvanilla(m): 6:01pm On Nov 13, 2013
this is a message I just got

Rumour, trash it!!! The strike will be over soon

The rumour going viral on social media that ASUU had postponed her NEC meeting to Jan. 15, 2014 due to Prof.(Comrade) Festus Iyayi death is a lie! please disregard it as such information didn't emanate from ASUU at all. Probably, from the myopic figment of imagination of some questionable characters, who are determined to destroy the image of the body. It is highlyju unfortunate that personality like Dele Momodu will be part of those spreading this scandalous information on his twitter account without verifying it. ASUU has not mention anything like Jan 15 except postponing the NEC meeting from today.
who should we believe now .i watched on tvc news that it has been postponed.

Education › Re: Effect Of This ASUU Strike On Students And Lecturers by nickvanilla(m): 12:56pm On Oct 23, 2013
Reptyle: The longer this strike lasts, the less likely it is for ASUU to agree to anything less than the FULL IMPLEMENTATION of the 2009 agreement. It would make absolutely no sense for them to have held on for 4 months with all of the disruptive effects to our educational system, only to accept some watery and half-hearted commitment from the FG to a phased-out implementation of the agreement over the next few years.

If ASUU concedes to anything less than 80% acceptance of their demands by the FG, I will personally spend my hard earned resources in mobilizing students to lynch ASUU members the next time they attempt to embark on a strike over the poor or non-implementation of the 2009 agreement.

I think it is time we bite the bullet and get this intractable issue with our tertiary educational system sorted once and for all.

It is such a shame that the students who would most benefit from a victory for ASUU in this matter have mostly allowed themselves to be be swayed by the FG's propaganda rather than stand with ASUU. Rather than NANS becoming the mouthpiece of government propaganda, it should be seen demanding for a full implementation of aspects of the agreement
especially as it has to do with the

infrastructural development of our

universities.
we are not saying we do not want d agreement implemented.all we are saying iz dat ASUU/fg should stop putting we the students in the middle of their disputes.the strike should be called off while further decisions are reached

omenka: What is mouth watering about their offerhuh And what is political about holding someone accountable for their actionshuh Why do you people keep thinking as though you've got a vacuum in your skull?? An agreement was made and all the union is asking for is implementation!!!!

How on earth could the government tell nigerians it is cash strapped with all these news of unbridled corruption we get daily?? The finance minister and maku keep telling us how nigeria's economic indices is only comparable to those of Germany and China, yet when it comes to fulfilling their obligations, they tell us they've got no money!!!
Who do they think they are fooling??

don't mind some nigerians.always happy to eat the crumbs dat fall from the politician's table

Strike continues. This govt must be forced to act responsibly for once!

lets not forget that this agreement came after a lenghthy period of strike.since 2009 till date all mr jona has done is release 130bn.where in the world does a sane country behave so non chalantly to its commitments.its only in naija that you strike for government to sign agreement, strike for govt to agree to implement agreement and still strike for agreement to be finally implemented.which way nigeria?
