Good evening pilots. How is the hustle going? I've become so cautious after reading stories of riders who won't pay after trips. Got a trip this evening from Island to Surulere, Alaka after closing from work. Trip ended 1,600. Madam told me to call account number. I called. Next thing she started mumbling something incoherent. That network is down and she can only try again after 30 minutes. I said okay, no problem but try it again. I called account number again and she typed whatever and told me that it has sent, but she hadn't gotten alert. Omo! At this stage my mind quickly came back to the latest stories I've been seeing on this thread. I asked her, "when you sent the code, did you see anything like 'transfer successful'?" She said no but if I don't see my money in one hour, I should call her. I stood my ground and said I haven't seen any alert on my app. That she should make the transfer again. She said she doesn't want to make a double transfer. I should wait and get back to her if I don't see alert in the next one hour since I have her number. In a cool voice I said, "Madam try the transfer again. If I see double alert, I will return your money." I guess she was tired of me at this point. She quickly transferred the money and showed me the transfer successful response before I let her leave my car. A few seconds later, it reflected in my bank app. It's over 3 hours now, I haven't seen any second alert. Maybe she would have paid later if I had called her but I have saved myself the stress of calling by confirming the transfer before I let her go. So guys make we dey open eyes oo. There's absolutely nothing wrong in demanding payment after service. No rider should make you feel stupid when you insist they pay before leaving. You're on your right!! |
BAZ001:Honestly, some times I think back at some of the things I read here and can't seem to place which claim is more unbelievable than the other. 1) Found a way to drive around Lagos without encountering traffic. 2) Found a way to drive defensively such that his car never saw any scratch/dent all year round. 3) Found a magic word to tell riders so they wouldn't waste his time before starting trip. 4) Found a way to avoid Lastma/Firs/Vio/Police wahala all year round while driving on bolt. 5) Learnt the time and place most bolt riders go to, so that he can always position to get long trips on surge. 6) Made so much money from Uber and decided to upgrade from Toyota Matrix to Corrola 2013/2016. 7) Rented a house of over 1.2 milion per annum in chevvy view estate so he can always set destination trips against traffic. (Every bolt driver gets only 2 destination trips per day but our man's own was unlimited) Our almighty cheerful. Not your average driver!!! ![]() |
Omo!! Men don hammer for this December oo. Anyways, I have closed for the year. Hustle continues in 2022. ![]()

I wonder why we're complaining about the draw. PSG is the unlucky one here not us. Based on current form, we are the favourites to go through. The only scary thing about this PSG is Mbappe. Once we can curtail him, the game is half won.

yommie007:This story dey sweet me like say I recover part of the money wey I pay that day. For emphasis sake, if you see anything like this below on your Google map around airport road, avoid it. It's a trap. Don't turn left. Quickly take right and get back into the express. To link MM airport from there, the best route to take is aswani road into osolo way and make a u turn at the airport road overhead bridge. Look at the map in the second picture very well. |
Hello great men. Someone should please indulge me. I Know this question has been asked several times. How do I upload my inspection report? I just did mine. And it's not a new car. |
Gudvibes06:You think say na only you wan gross 1 million this month? Every young man don enter street with Corolla now. No slacking ![]() |
Hello Gazzuzz. How car I get my car to your workshop? I stay in Lagos Mainland. My toyota corolla 04 vibrates and shudders when idle. It gets worse when I put on the AC. Then I noticed that this morning after starting it, it dragged for about two minutes before moving. I had the spark plugs changed and nozzles serviced today but the situation didn't improve. Please help. |
Barbiturate:I'll definitely try this |
komodapson:What does league have to do with it? I took a trip to apapa recently and got scratched in five different places by those Okada riders while in traffic. You could avoid dents by defensive driving but frequent scratches are inevitable. |
Please who knows where I can get spray paint (wine-red colour) in Lagos. I don't think it's possible to drive in this city without scratches happening every week. |
Barbiturate:Are you serious? ![]() That's a bit unusual. See ehn, the most important thing to a rider (which should be your priority) is getting them safely to their location in the fastest possible time. Any other thing like bluetooth, charger is an added advantage (that they should even be paying for). The requirement for bolt is having a radio!! If they want to listen to their music, they can get a headset and blast their ears away. What I think can help your ratings is effective communication and compassion. This is how I begin: Me: Good Evening... Rider: Good Evening Me: You're going to Lagos Island right? Rider: Yes, I am. Me: Alright, I'm starting the trip now. Rider: Please go ahead. Me: Okay....The map is saying 35 minutes. Should we take Third mainland or Eko bridge? Rider: Anyone that's faster on the map. Me: Alright. Then I go silent. Factors that affect your ratings: NAVIGATION: Anytime the map suggest a faster route, I inform the rider before taking it. Riders do not like when you're taking them through an unfamiliar route so it's best to always carry them along before taking shortcuts or alternate routes. PAYMENTS: Another thing to pay attention to is your attitude towards payment. You cannot be driving without a functional bank app. I mean, how can someone transfer money to you and you'll say, "wait let me see alert first". With your bank app, you'll get notified a lot quicker when money is sent to you. If you insist on seeing SMS alerts first, your ratings will continue to suffer . CAR NOISE: Does your engine sound like a raging bull? Are your shocks, suspensions in order. You can't maintain a consistent high rating if your car gives off bad sounds. My car has been squealing and groaning for weeks due to bad shocks. I usually cover up by increasing the radio volume but sometimes riders tell me to turn it off completely and then I become exposed. You can guess what follows after ![]() CONVERSATIONS: I usually don't initiate convos with riders, but once they start we will continue talking till we reach their destination. I've had G boys open up to me about what they put their hands into to make it. Married men and women have bothered my little head with their family issues etc. I don't mind because I know they're most likely to give a 5 star rating to someone they had an interesting conversation with and I learn a lot as well. Typically, if you're good looking your female riders will come to the front seat. And if you can't hold a good gist with them, your ratings will dip. So free yourself. CAR INTERIOR (Appearance and Scents): Put yourself in your rider's shoes. Will you be happy in a dirty, stinking Uber ride? Hell no! So do the needful. YOUR VISAGE: Some Uber drivers would not even smile once during a trip. Bros! No be fight na? Your rider cracks a joke, you fail to laugh and you want 5-star rating. Are you normal? ![]() |
Noone7:I've sent you a p.m |
northbird:Louis Hamilton ke? Abeg oo. I was lucky there wasn't any traffic. So it was easier to escape. Personally I don't like Lagos Island but my choices are limited. I can't be selecting trips early in the morning when I need to be at my desk by 8:00 AM. |
