Queenhearty: Edo State House of Assembly ’ s only female candidate seeking to represent Oredo West Constituency , Miss Charity Idahosa , says she is being sexually harassed by men over her ambition . The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Idahosa , contesting under the platform of Mass Action Joint Alliance , made the allegation in a chat with newsmen in Benin on Thursday .
She described the experience as “ frustrating , and a recurring negative trend against women in politics. ”
“ I came into politics with the desire to make a change and contribute my quota to the development of Oredo West constituency .
“ It will be shocking to note that people I had looked up to for support often asked for sexual gratification before giving their support and for me , it ’ s absurd and unacceptable. ”
The MAJA party candidate who declined to mention names added , “ I know this may sound funny, but it is real .

Politics › Re: Sack Service Chiefs Now, Former DSS Director Tells FG by nickxtra(m): 5:45am On Jan 03, 2019 |
akelicious: A former Director of the Department of the State Services (DSS), Mr. Mike Ejiofor, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to relieve the leadership of some of the various security agencies of their position as a means of improving the performance of these organisations in the fight against insecurity in the country.
He said a situation where high -profile military officers were kidnapped and killed showed the state of insecurity in the country.
Speaking Wednesday on the Arise News, a sister broadcast arm of THISDAY Newspaper, Ejiofor said the tenure of some of the Service Chiefs had expired.
“For me if you continue to do the same thing, the same way you can’t expect a different result. Some of the Service Chiefs have overstayed – their tenures have expired but they are still being retained. So, I think it is time we need to try new hands but because of politics I think the government doesn’t have the political will to do this,” he said.
The ex-DSS boss cautioned that the country cannot afford to play politics with its security. According to him, the bulk of the security concerns over the forthcoming general elections is caused by the actions and behaviours of politicians from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP).
“Well it is going to be a very challenging year. In 2018 you have listed the crises and challenges we have, which the government is trying to address but you know the problems and challenges we expect in 2019 because of the election, I believe, are self-made and self-inflicted because these could be avoided. You see the way politicians go about their campaigns. We expect them to campaign on issues but they are busy attacking each other. We should not forget that we have about 90 political parties but the prominent ones causing the real security challenges are the PDP and APC and the reasons are obvious.”
“APC want to retain power, claiming that PDP has been in power for the past 16 years and PDP having left power for over four years want to come back. There is nothing wrong with that; that is democracy but my fears are that as stated in our constitutions, the primary purpose and responsibility of government is the security and welfare of the people.
“You can’t divorce politics from security but at the same time we can’t be playing politics with our security, which is exactly what is happening. “People are playing politics with our security system which is very dangerous. Security is a collective effort of the whole people and it shouldn’t be left for government alone but the government on its part also has promised as one of its cardinal projects to provide security for the people but we are not there yet. You listed the challenges; you look at Borno State for instance the Boko Haram is overwhelming the military what are the reasons? You go to Zamfara people are been killed daily. Herdsmen whom I don’t call herdsmen – I call them terrorist, which I believe is an extension of Boko Haram, all over the country and we are preparing for an election. The problems are so much and I think the earlier the government addresses the issues the better for them as we are going into elections,” Ejiofor explained.
Ejiofor disclosed that the military is ill-equipped to handle the current security challenges in the country.
“We have in place the multinational joint taskforce and they seem not to be effective anymore and then we need to change tactics and it is not just changing – the government should also come out to equip the military. I think they are ill equipped; they are not fully functional as they supposed

Crime › Disgraced Zimbabwean Pastor, Used Prolific Nigerian Fraudster To Get Women(photo by nickxtra(op): 5:12am On Jan 03, 2019 |
Mary-Tamar was Jean can reveal that sex-crazed prophet Walter Masocha formed his church in 2007 using a well known notorious Nigerian convicted Fraudster Oluesyi Adeyemi, to lure single vulnerable women into the church. Walter Masocha, who was a University lecture at that time, had a close Nigerian con artist friend who worked for a mortgage company in Scotland. The Nigerian crook, who also used other names and was identified in the British Press as David Peters was deported back to Nigeria in 2002, but he managed to creep back in the UK using identity fraud where he formed some sort of partnership with Walter Masocha who was a University Lecturer. The friend of Masocha had been jailed in the UK for £1 million fraud and is known to be one of the most prolific fraudsters in the United Kingdom. Daily Mail UK described Masocha’s crook ally as, “Britain’s most prolific identity fraudsters, who used identities to trick banks, mortgage lenders, and government agencies into giving him money.” The Nigerian fraudster is the one who helped Walter Masocha start his church as he was able to get mortgages for women who had no legal stay in the United Kingdom using loopholes in Scottish Law. Walter Masocha then gave himself credit that he had ‘power from God’, promising single women that he was able to get them houses. Christianity Etc › The Disgraced Zimbabwean Pastor Has Always Been Controversial. Read Why(photo) by nickxtra(op): 4:55am On Jan 03, 2019*. Modified: 5:28am On Jan 03, 2019 |
A church founder and self-styled "prophet" has avoided jail after he was convicted of sexually molesting his parishioners. Walter Masocha, archbishop of the Stirling-based Agape for All Nations Church, was sentenced to 250 hours of unpaid work and placed on the sex offenders register for a year. The 51-year-old was convicted of groping a schoolgirl and a deaconess. A sheriff told him he had "suffered a spectacular fall from grace". Masocha was found guilty after a trial at Falkirk Sheriff Court of putting his hand down the trousers of a schoolgirl, telling her he was trying to remove demons, and groping a deaconess while he was meant to be praying for her stomach complaint. Masocha in 2007 came at a time when a lot of Zimbabweans were desperate for the leave to remain in UK. He manipulated and brainwashed people that he was the immigration officer. Many fell for his promises as he claimed to be an immigration officer. Of course many who did not follow the UK immigration were most vulnerable. He promised the followers so much in exchange of goods and in kind. So many were abused and are frighted to report. Unfortunately with the Zimbabwean culture he got his way in because when you are married, it can cost your marriage, same as if you are single- this can affect your potential husband. Masocha raped his own wife sister in Zimbabwe. He still remain a dangerous man. Today I am appealing to all Zimbabweans illegal or not, this man is dangerous and you should report if he ever have touched, or said something inappropriate. This has to be stopped and only me and you can stop it. Your immigration status will not be affected by saying the truth. We say NO to sexual abuse. A petition is coming to sign and if affected please sign. Masocha is a peadophile. Read more at: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-33154718

The National Identity Management Commission has said that over 300,000 national identity cards for those who enrolled in 2012 are ready for collection.NIMC Spokesman, Loveday Ogbonna, urged enrollees in the year 2012, up to August 2013 and who were yet to pick up their cards, to do so immediately.
Ogbonna said that those concerned should visit the enrolment centres where they registered and pick up their cards, which had since been printed and ready for collection.
He said that the commission had pasted names of enrollees whose cards had been printed and awaiting collection at various centres, to enable such individuals check and present themselves for card collection.
According to him, some of the people in this category may have changed the phone numbers they used to register, hence they are not able to receive text messages informing them that their cards are ready.
“Applicants who have relocated and want their cards transferred to their current location should visit any NIMC office closest to them to request for a card transfer form.
“They should fill and submit the form to the State Coordinator or Local Government Supervisor for processing.
“This is possible for those who either received text message or confirmed via the list posted at the enrolment centres that their cards are ready for collection. This service is free for now and available at all enrolment centres,” he said.
Ogbonna said that the transfer process was necessitated by a survey carried out by the Customer Care Unit of the commission.
He said that the survey showed that over 300,000 enrolled applicants nationwide were yet to pick up their National e-ID cards.
Ogbonna said that the reasons were because they had either relocated from the locations where they enrolled or had changed the phone numbers they provided at the point of enrolment into the National Identity Database. “Thousands of registered applicants have changed the phone numbers they provided at the point of registration, and as such, may not have received our card collection notifications, while some persons may have changed location since after enrolment.
”We want to use this medium to appeal to any of such persons to visit any NIMC Enrolment Centre close to them to request for Card transfer,” the NIMC said in a statement.
