New hotels coming up everywhere

Owerri might not have high concentration of 4 to 7 storey buildings like ABA and onistha
But trust me
The city is doing well in terms of 7 to 8 story high-rise buildings

Plus roads are wide
Entering from port Harcourt then
Driving around owerri fit cure depression 😜😂 grin

Especially when you are playing egwu Owerri on your way to eat ofe owerri

Owerri is always in tight competition with Enugu,
Aside Abuja and Lagos , no city in Nigeria comes close to owerri in entertainment and ambience

The wide wide 8 lanes roads in most parts of owerri, beautified with flowers and workways will make you think you are in California

Fake news is dangerous
But sadly it spread like wildfire

This road is currently being rehabilitated by the federal government as s bypass to ikot ekpene road in umuahia, they are not even reconstructing it
The are just filling the pot holes and recoating the entire road with cotar
The contractors left the main road and this bypass for long since they last administration, until Dave umahi recently ordered them back to site

This Anambra IST son obviously has not been anywhere, as at today all cities in South East
Have more dualized roads than Anambra as a state, they guy might try to argue, imagine him telling you to list the roads (shows he hasn't left Anambra before) or he has no access to goggle map, the tiny tiny roads in onistha and all parts of Anambra is so embarrassing, and they guy is even been childish
One thing is sure, everyone will keep calling out soludo on this..

Gov Soludo is constructing 450 km of roads across Anambra with two flyovers, Industrial parks, Fun city, new government house, hospitals etc

Metcheew
You are still missing the point, soludo is trying
What we are saying is Anambra in general needs more dualized roads with normal width and substantial length, in the entire south east and south south only Anambra is falling short of this!

Read my post
I said it's currently ongoing
https://www.nairaland.com/7877779/gov-peter-mba-flags-off
It's actually 40km with additional 17km
Within Enugu metropolis
Last week the communities protested against it, but the governor no send anybody
Ask anyone living in Enugu, the project is currently ongoing

And please this is not for comparison but a call to make our voice loud enough for soludo to here, he is trying but we need dualized roads with substantial length

Should be counted as dualized road says by who Show me the dualized roads in your state and the length
My state is not important in this conversation, but orlu road in owerri alone is longer than all those few kilometres you counted (is about 47km), there is still, owerri to mbaise, tinubu drive in nkor okpala, orlu to oguta junction (this are roads with long kilometres)
Omo currently it seems like in imo state, it's a taboo to construct a single lane nowadays, rochas started it
And hope is still maintaining it!
If you haven't been to owerri or orlu
Then use Google map
You will understand what we are saying, however
Imo and Anambra is still the same thing
So my state does not matter

But today ABA is a big metropolis, the number of Imolite, Anambrains and Ndi ebonyi in Abia, runs in millions, Akwaibomites, Cameroonians and rivers state indegens have a huge stake in ABA today, I think they're even larger than enugu people who also have a huge indigenes in the metropolis, me myself from imo

Same you using different monikers to deceive yourself, you claimed there is no dualized road in Anambra except major express way I showed you seven in Awka alone,bI still used Google satellite map to measure the roads, Ongoing Unizik temspite to Isuaniaicha is 15.5km, Ziks Avenue in Awka is 9.27, Immigration road is 2.41km, Ekwueme square road is 2.73, currently expanding more, Millennium road is 1.74km, GRA road is 1.22km, these are dualized roads in Awka alone outside major express, Onitsha Harbour industrial layout is dualized, Obodo-Ukwu road is currently being dualized, Upper Iweka down flyover to Iweka is being dualized, these are all in Onitsha outside major express roads, Ekwulobia is currently being dualized including flyover, I know you are very envious of Anambra but these are facts

Bro everything no be fight
You self calculate all this road you are metioning it's not up to the length of 1 dualized road in Enugu, owerri, Abakiliki, ABA, or port Harcourt
We can all lie to ourselves, but at the end of the day
It's still what it's, we need more at least owerri or Enugu standard, do you feel proud knowing that they longest dualized road in Anambra is 9km?
( Or the ongoing 15km ) Why orlu road alone in owerri is 47km, plus more in the same owerri, in ABA there is 22km, 10km, 8km e.t.c,
And Abia state is currently doing 67km dualized road again, in Enugu is the same and yet the new enugu has 45 km ongoing, only Anambra is falling short in this regards
We can't continue to build concrete jungles!
Just give us dualized roads with big width
Not the tiny double lane soludo in currently doing in onistha (dualizing roads without expansion)
Omo! With good wide roads Anambra will beat all states including rivers, orlu a rural area today now has more dualized roads than Nnewi
Guy check am, any dualized road less than 5km shouldn't even be considered or counted
You need to travel more, owerri is closeby
Drive around Owerri you will understand what everyone is saying, if you in awka Enugu is stone throw drive around it,
I pray and wish soludo will start they awka to ekwulobia dualization, that will be a good start!
And we need more, limca old road, onistha to Nnewi, onistha to aguleri e.t.c

Aba is the largest town in the entire south east. That one is not debatable. It should have been the capital of Abia state but Igbos were afraid that ngwa people will deny their Igboness some day.
Lies and lies
Umuahia became the capital because of it's central location and closeness to ABA and old Bende, back then in imo state old Bende people wanted a state of there own with uzuakoli or Bende town as capital, and most of the great men of Abia state and south east are majorly from that side (Abiriba, igbere, Arochukwu e.t.c)
The ngwas also wanted to be out from IMO state but they weren't really seriously about the ABA state creation because there kin and Kith in mbaise prefers being in imo, after much deliberation the two groups where merged with a central location selected, which lies close to ikwuano not even the Umuahia of that time (which is currently known as old umuahia today)
It has nothing to do with tribes or cultural affinity, alot of group who felt marginalized in there state back then like, oyigbo, etche, ikot ekpene e.t.c all wanted to be part of the new proposed state back then, especially obigbo

When you don't have it, you don't have it.
You keep showcasing Enugu Onitsha expressway and Onitsha Owerri express.
An abian , lmolite , ebonyians, or Enugu resident will not break sweet to show you state owned dualized roads in their state because it abounds. Anambra doesn't have it because none of their governors present and past could muster the courage to dualize even a single road, the longest state owned dialized road in Anambra is Zik Avenue (old enugu Onitsha road) from Nkwelle junction to Amawbia junction, tiny and just about 3km done by Peter Obi in 2009.
Can you tell me any other one ? You have the least number of dualized roads in the entire country and you are not ashamed of it. Building single tiny road everywhere in 21st century when human and vehicular traffic are on the increase

This is the issue!
Once Anambra fixes this issue
At least by Owerri or Enugu level ! No state in southern Nigeria except Lagos will revive Anambra, every thing is set and complete in Anambra! Only wide roads are needed, the problem is Anambra is highly built up demolishing people's homes for road will be difficult! I seriously pray soludo achieves his awka-ekwulobia road dualization goal

I love this but please don't run away o.
I love the videos but this is a blanket kind of video just showing Enugu and Owerri.

Firstly,Ibadan has more infrastructures than Igboland and it is 3080 sq km according to Google. It also has more than 11 GRAs while the entire Igboland has just 7 GRAs.
Ibadan gas more and better road networks, universities, modern houses, stadia, malls etc the5 SE states combined.

Now that you are bold to post Igboland,I want you to post different areas and locations so we can see how many areas and locations that are developed in Igboland compared to only Ibadan city in the SW.
Ok,I am posting these few videos first.
Post yours from all Igboland and I bet you that Ibadan will defeat Igboland seriously.
Pls,don't flee o.
These are different areas in Ibadan with their name

Stop trying to sound dumb bro, what do you mean by Igbo land grin grin😂
Nothing I no go see for nairaland
Are you afraid to mention a particular city, your are trying to compare with?
First ibandan is not up to 3080 sq km
That lie has been busted several times, it's just an ancient lie repeated more often and spread across by bloggers from south west extraction, even Lagos state and it's neighboring surbud in ogun combined is slightly up to that, open Google map and you can see how small Ibadan is compared to what you're quoting, that lies have been busted by technology
below are pictures from Google map, ibandan is bigger but not that big
Infact the metropolis area covered by onistha metro is far bigger than 2x ibandan, despite ibandan as a city being bigger, that's to show you how expansion cities in South East are always doing
All this ones your posting videos of estates and GRA
I don't clearly understand your point, and you shouting don't run
Is also funny, 😂you said there are no videos of South Eastern cities, and I posted 2 (not housing estate or G .R.A) just a random middle class residency
You started Posting videos of estates that can be seen in almost all Nigerian cities and GRA's and started shouting don't run😂
Guy you are funny
If you think multiple estate is only peculiar to ibandan, go to YouTube and type estates in owerri, or estates in Enugu, you go watch videos tire 🤣
Ibadan is not that big
They area onistha has expanded and covered is more than 2x bigger than ibandan
Open Google map and check below are screenshots

ABA metropolis covers all Abia south senatorial zone, and close to half of Abia central senatorial zone, that's rough 9 L.G.A of Abia state, you don't expect everyone in the 9 l.G.A to start having steady light at once, some people are complaining why some others are rejoicing, I believe very soon all of them will rejoice

One thing about you Igbos is your fear to show videos of your SE.You just like showing pics of 1 or two good places which are good just like in other states.
I have been to the East and it is mainly slummy with a couple of places just like what you posted looking beautiful.

In the South West, they have numerous good places multiple times more than the East.
In Ibadan city for example, for a starter,I can post 50 videos of good, beautiful and developed places but the entire South East, one cannot get 7 good places.

I have seen threads on Nairaland calling out Igbos to post just 6 good different locations' videos but the Igbos will always flee because it is a big shame to them.
Their best area in SE,is the 52sq km Onitsha cut into two by the Okpoko massive slum.

Igbos will always run to the SW massively because of the underdevelopment in Igboland.

You are not sure of what you're saying, igbos have been posting different videos of there cities across

first Ibadan is no where as developed as Enugu, Owerri, asaba or port Harcourt
2nd what you posted here can easily be classified as a thick rural helmet, not really worthy to be call a town, if this is what you call development in SW, then am sorry
