Edo State Deputy Governor and running mate of Governor Godwin Obaseki in the state’s forthcoming gubernatorial election, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, addressing supporters at a rally in Jattu, Etsako West Local Government Area (LGA).

Says no amount of kneeling stunt will save Oshiomhole from defeat, humiliation
The Edo State Deputy Governor and the running mate of Governor Godwin Obaseki in the state’s forthcoming gubernatorial election, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has insisted that no amount of kneeling stunt will save the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole and his party’s candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu from defeat and humiliation at the September 19, 2020 poll in the state.

The Deputy Governor said this in the course of a road show across Edo State that spanned from Akpakpava Road in Benin City, through Ekpoma to Jattu, in Etsako West Local Government Area (LGA).

Shaibu, however, noted that the governorship electioneering campaign would be issues-based, with focus on performance and not on persons nor the throwing of tantrums and making deceptive public appearances.

The Deputy Governor explained that the election presents Edo people the opportunity to make a decision about the future of their unborn children and not a time to think about pecuniary gains and egos of wannabe godfathers.

Shaibu explained that before the former national chairman of the APC masterminded their disqualification from contesting the governorship election under the APC, he personally scheduled several peace meetings with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole but all were to no avail.
He noted that no amount of intimidation can stop them from fulfilling the aspirations of the majority of the people, as against servicing the greed of a few individuals.

The tour kick-started from Akpakpava Road through first and second circular road junctions, during which market women, artisans, commercial bus drivers and many others received the deputy governor with open arms and pledged support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming governorship election.

At Oregbeni and Aduwawa markets, traders in excitement followed the PDP deputy governorship candidate round the market. The tour later crisscrossed Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area; Agbede in Edo North senatorial district and Jattu in Etsako West LGA.

According to NAN, the EFCC was indicted in the report of the panel as it was discovered that the interest on the N550 billion recovered by the agency under Magu “has been re-looted”.

The panel probed the federal government assets recovered by the EFCC from May 2015 to May 2020.

It said in addition to the unaccounted interests, there is also a difference of N39 billion between EFCC’s deposits in the bank and what the agency said it recovered.

“It is quite disturbing that conflicting figures are being circulated in the public space by EFCC as the amount of recovered funds,” the report read.

“For Foreign currency recoveries, EFCC reported a total naira equivalent of N46,038,882,509.87, while the naira equivalent of the foreign currency lodgment were N37,533,764,195.66, representing a shortfall of N8,505,118,314.21.

“These inconsistencies cast a serious doubt on the accuracy of figures submitted by the EFCC. It is the committee’s view that the EFCC cannot be said to have fully accounted for cash recoveries made by it.

“While EFCC reported total Naira recoveries of N504,154,184,744.04, the actual bank lodgments were N543,511,792,863.47. These discrepancies mean that EFCC’s actual lodgment exceeded its reported recoveries by N39,357,608,119.43.

“It must be pointed out that the discrepancy of more than thirty nine billion naira does not include interest accrued in this account since it was opened.

“It therefore cast serious doubt on the credibility of the figures and means that substantial amount of money has not been accurately accounted for.

“Failure to report on the interest on actual lodgments clearly establishes that interest element of over N550 billion has been re-looted relating to the period under review.

“This is an apparent case of manipulation of data in a very brazen and unprofessional manner and this has greatly eroded the public confidence in the anti-corruption efforts.”

The panel is also said to have revealed how the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) investigation “exposed acts of corruption and money laundering” against some EFCC officials, including Magu.

“The NFIU reports established that the Acting Chairman has been using different sources to siphon money from the EFCC, and in some cases collecting bribes from suspects,” the report added.

“The report has shown that a particular Bureau de Change, owned by Ahmed Ibrahim Shanono linked to the Acting Chairman based in Kaduna has more than 158 accounts and has been receiving huge sums of funds.

“The link to Magu was also established by the payment of N28 million to FALANA who is a close associate and ally of the Acting Chairman.”

While Magu was suspended, President Muhammadu Buhari approved Mohammed Umar as the acting EFCC chairman pending the conclusion of the investigation.

Earlier on Saturday, Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, said Magu’s probe shows the presidency is serious with the fight against corruption.

Harry Maguire scores extra-time winner as Man Utd see off valiant Norwich to reach record-30th FA Cup semi-final,

start winnings things or at least reach finals
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Manchester United's progress to the FA Cup semi-finals is crucial for developing his squad's winning mentality.

United had to dig deep against the Premier League's bottom side as Odion Ighalo's fifth goal in four starts for the club was cancelled out by Todd Cantwell's strike from distance.

Timm Klose was sent off in the 89th minute for bringing down Ighalo, after which United found stubborn resistance from Tim Krul during extra-time, but the Norwich goalkeeper was beaten when Harry Maguire reacted quickest to direct the winner home in the 118th minute.

United became the first side to seal their spot in the last four and two wins at Wembley would secure their first trophy under Solskjaer.

"We're in the semi-finals and we're delighted with that," Solskjaer said in his post-match press conference. "Last year we got to the quarter-finals and lost to Wolves. Now, at least, we are in the semi-finals at Wembley.

"It's important for this team to win their first trophy or to get to their first final together. That will help the winning culture because we have to start winning things."

Solskjaer also had warm words for Ighalo, who continued his record of scoring at least once in every United game he's started.

"Odion knows how much we value him in and around the dressing room and, of course, on the pitch," Solskjaer said. "He's a goalscorer and a poacher, he's strong and we can play the ball into him like we did on the winning goal.

"He's performing well and that also gives me the chance to rotate with Marcus [Rashford], Anthony [Martial] and Mason [Greenwood] so they can get a rest and be fresh for every game."

Good day to you all,as you all know the aim of this Blog is to update you on security, so let discuss on who should be blame on Rape incident. Victim of rape are uniquely blamed for there assault relative to victims of other
interpersonal crimes, so I make some research to understand why this is the case in My country Nigeria and the world generally. So I will be giving my personal review on this issues and some individual reviews I was able to get.
The high status of men, with respect to particularly girl children, leads to vulnerability through reducing girls' ability to refuse sexual advances and generating expectations in men that they should control women and children, rape have become an act of retribution to show power over girls which lead to the saying
''If They Rape Me, I Can't Blame Them" by Rachel Jewkes et.
The rape culture in our society is vary ridiculous, blaming the victim "she asked for it", Boys will be Boys", "Her skirt was too short", "She came looking for me", "Why did you go to his house","she offended me", "She was looking Sexy" and so on. People reassure themselves with the thinking "Because am not like her, Because I don't wear sexy things, it can't happen to me", you should know this isn't a helping reaction. To my own research we Men are the main causes of increase in rape, because some of us lack proper sex education or not at all.
I was able to asked some friends, their reviews on the issues and some responded below,

"Men doing this needs to stop the disgusting act. Men need to be blame for this we cannot say because of you she should stop looking good. Indecent dressing doesn't push or give you the go ahead to rape her" By Johnright (male).

Your opinion is highly appreciated

It was just meant to be. It probably happened sooner than expected, but Chelsea have unveiled Frank Lampard as their new boss.

After a successful season with Derby County where he almost delivered promotion to the Premier League, Chelsea approached the legendary midfielder and he has agreed to take over the club which he had so much success with as a player.

It is a risk to appoint the Englishman so soon into his managerial career, but clearly it is a risk Chelsea are willing to take.

Lampard had incredible backroom staff that helped him steer Derby to the Championship play-off final. Here we take a look at the staff members who have already been confirmed and the ones he could still take to Stamford Bridge.

Confirmed

Jody Morris - Assistant

Like Lampard, Morris is a former Chelsea midfielder.

He came through the youth ranks with his close friend and former Chelsea captain John Terry and became Chelsea's youngest ever debutant aged 17 in February 1996.

He made 124 appearances for the club and was a late substitute in the 2000 FA Cup final. He was also captain of the club for a short period.

In the 2013/14 season Morris returned to Chelsea to coach the under-21s.

He was also part of the coaching setup that saw Chelsea win the FA youth cup in 2018 for the fifth successive time.

In May 2018 he was appointed the assistant manager to Lampard at Derby and it has been reported that Morris will indeed join Chelsea legend at Stamford Bridge as his assistant head coach.

Chris Jones - First-team coach

Jones also had a previous affiliation with Chelsea, as he was once their fitness coach.

He is a former player who represented England at under-18 level and also played for the youth teams of Luton Town and Peterborough United.

He went on to graduate from Loughborough University with a degree in sports science.

After initially working with the academy and reserve teams, Jones was promoted to work with the first team in 2009 under Carlo Ancelotti.

The Englishman spent some time working with the England youths teams, before deciding to link up with Lampard at Derby last summer.

He will also follow the 41-year-old to Stamford Bridge as part of his backroom staff.
