no matter, she was n is wrong. but did u give ur pin code/nos to allow her gain access, i guess online banking require code pin nos. its fraud GTB has nothing to do with it, so dont drag them into ur personal issues, however u can report ur friend if u so wish for breaking customer/bank relationship even u owe 100million, so if she was d md she wld be withdrawing from everybody's account, thank God, i dont use online banking/it banking anything tech dey fear me, even ATM.

gudluck

@ Pushkin

u dont need to get back at people here unneccessarily!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u started this thread and u should have known that intelligent people we not just fall for ur story like dat. we need evidence. i have asked u to just post ur a/c num here and i will cross check 4 u wit my friends with the bank in question and collaborate ur story if it is true but u keep dodging this.

people have the right to sit behind their system and type woteva the way u too woke up and started the thread!!!!!!!!!!! U shd have expected people to ask questions and not just fall hook line and sinker for ur superstory.

better still,u only gave us one side of the story and some of us can see beyond ur story.
---tell us the terms and conditions under which the personal loan was taken,
---how come ur friend had access to ur password and if u didnt request for online banking will she have done it because she wants to take a paltry sum of 80k from ur account when other a/cs that runs in millions are there;
---how come she had access to ur signature to request for online banking. i am sure the signature on the request form would have been verified b4 being treated;
---will ur friend connive with the customer service and IT just coz of 80k.
---were u keepgin a joint a/c wit ur friend wit either of u can sign as the mandate?
---Cook up another way the money was stolen from ur a/c or the debt u owed was forcefully repaid wit interest, it is definately not thro online banking.

Some of us can see beyond our nose.

see, gtb is a brand that people love and it will be extremely difficult to run them down like dis. it is we the customers that will even stand up for them not even their staffs.

if u dont want to seek redress in the court of law and u r damn too sure of urself, just go to a soft sell magazine like city people, get paid and sell the story to them wit ur facts u r guiding jealously and u will have more than ur 80k back.

sincerely this aint working, cook up another story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the best way to avoid this is to stop using the bank, and be keeping your money inside a wooden box that you can keep somewhere inside your house, banking is now BUSINESS, OK?

newbride:

This is just wrong i don't care if you owed her 1m.

1) She isn't ur friend
2) She's a thief in disguise and am sure she's part of the people that withdraw from peoples account without their knowledge

This is just wrong, CRIMINAL, ANNOYING

if i were in ur shoes i'll report her if she looses her job it will teach her a lesson NEVER to tamper with people's account without their consent. Stupid Nigerians. People like her make moving back to nigeria a horror movie. hisses and angry

Though i dnt support what her friend did but u talk like a slowpoke. What if the banker sent hired killers to kill her debtor would that be okay by u. Save me that crap. He cant report her friend for what she did mayb that was the only way she could get her money since she worked in the bank. If u owe me such money & i work in the bank ad u felt reluctant to give me back my money after peaceful plea i will do what she did, Dont joke with bankers

Go report her to her Bank manager. But wait o! How did u become her friend in the first place? Does your friendship go way back? Are u afraid to report her cos she might loose her job and cos you guys are close to some extent? If so , call her and talk sense to her. If not, report her!

hi dear
please am a banker and i dont think this poser is saying the truth. nobody and i mean nobody has a write to withdraw frm someone elses acct without a written approval( nt even oral). there must be a written aggrement where signature is verified and countersigned by customer service officer and a third party officer.

i have all my family members acct in my bank and i dare nt take a dime.
withdrawals doesnt just pass through only one person. no mater the amount. even after the tellers av paid its still go throgh different stages and different pple including compliance officer who sees all transactions consumated everyday
for all amt even as low as .00000 1 kobo.

so poster stop lieing and look for where ur money went.
pay ur debt and stop having a guilty concience.

No, you are the clown.

There are fraudsters in other societies (you can mention maddof of USA). In sane societies you are jailed and disgraced when caught and outed as a fraudster. But in Nigeria known fraudsters are celebrated and awarded chieftancy titles. They wear their crookedness as a badge of honour. Convicted fraudsters (remember Ibori) are the movers and shakers at Aso Rock, the seat of our federal government.

It was totally wrong of the GTB guy top withdraw from your acount without ur permission, it unethical and criminal. U need to sue him and you will be asked to refund his money, then he will not only loose her job but also will be sentenced to jail for the abusive use of office/ position to carry out illegal transaction/withdrawal. U need to sue the Bank too cos am sure they are also aware of the transanction, am sure they will pay compensation. Report the issue to CBN, CIBN and Newpapers. All u will be asked to do is to refund the guys 80k and maybe pay a little compensation, but i bet the guy is gonna lose his job and the bank, a little sum. U nid to press charge, cos what the guy has done is tottally illegal. I got ur back.

Report to the manager straight. it is a crime and she should be sacked. I know of a banker in another bank who reactivated a dormant account and issued a cheque book to the said account, and withdrew millions from the account unfortunately for him the owner returned from his 3yrs stay in the U.S and discovered that his money was no longer there. THE REST IS HISTORY. I really hope he rots in jail. People pls keep a close watch on your money and your accounts

BY THE WAY DON'T CALL HER YOUR FRIEND cause she is not. SHE IS A THIEF

A naija lady who used to work for halifax in london was accessing people's account and passing on info to her peers.
she did not last a month. A simple audit trail on accts that were defrauded was linked back to her access code.
The fool was fired. luckily for her she wasn't sent to jail. angry
