http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8507289.stm Click on the link above and watch their Imagine the President of a country addressing his countrymen with so much fear written all over him like a 2yr old kid forced to recite a poem by a scary teacher. It is no rocket science to figure out why this President hardly addresses his people. Facebook blogging us no substitute to leadership. My Grand-dad always told me you don't learn how to use left hand at old age. Jonathan simply has not got it. He simply can not lead. |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Beaf: 8:45pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
mikeansy: Does this disprove that El-Rufai isn't his campaign Director General? I am at a loss about the relevance of the above to this topic. |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Nobody: 8:57pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
Beaf: lol they truly don't like folks to see a video of their President!!!!!!!! |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Beaf: 9:04pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
mikeansy: It was simply of no value to the current argument. Its more like street side finger pointing than anything. When you say "their President," is your compound now a republic that is independent of Nigeria? |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Nobody: 9:10pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
Beaf: I am campaigning for your HERO Beaf, I simply posted his own video on the internet without distorting it. I am at loss why that is problem. Or are you not proud of him? I thought we were in the digital age and are looking for a President in tune with the times. |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Beaf: 9:18pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
mikeansy: Rubbish. The problem is people losing an argument and then making deliberate attempts to derail the thread. How does any of that fit into a discussion titled, "El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director?" Forget about "campaigning", stick to the argument and lets see how far you go. |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Nobody: 9:26pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
Beaf: Stick to what argument? I have said severally that Jonathan can appoint a Campaign manager from Niger republic if he likes. So I have no clue why arguing about his campaign manager is of any use to me or to anybody for that matter. I also say that I see a lot of naivete in the appointment of tafida or El-Rufai. And those reasons I do not want to disclose because I will rather see the Jonathan campaign fail. At the end of the day, appointing a Campaign manager is a subtopic in the wider topic of Jonathan for President 2011 and anything that has to do with Jonathan is fair game to talk about. Now tell me why you are so worried that I posted Jonathan's video If I came to this thread to talk about how I have recieved 24hrs electricity since Jonathan became acting President will you honestly attack me for being off topic. Jonathan is the topic and everything about Jonathan is fair game. Again why is it that a man you want to be the President of Nigeria post 2011, you are worried to see his own video? I find that very curious. IS THERE A REASON FOR THIS. |

See your post on another thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-507415.0.html Topic: Re: Buhari's party plan's alliance with 35 others! Beaf's post: Is he going to clear his name off the $2.8billion NNPC money he is accused of stealing? So I guess I am not the only one who talks generally about the candidate nor am I the first, even when my reply is off topic My question again. Why does an honest video of your President Jonathan giving a speech worry you so much.
|
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Beaf: 9:36pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
mikeansy: In other words you find it difficult to stick to the topic, yet you want to be taken seriously? If you had posted the video in support of a wider argument, it would have been logical, but the way it was done was more like street side finger pointing and an attempt to derail the thread. Again, you might have decided on the basis of a video to think whatever it is you think, but the question remains; "How does any of that fit into a discussion titled, "El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director?" Forget about "campaigning", stick to the argument and lets see how far you go. " |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Nobody: 9:40pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
Well if you think I should not be taken seriously then that makes 2 of us!!!!!!!!!! See my previous post to know why. I still wanna consider you a pal but I guess you should know me long enough that not even beaf can intimidate me. Lets stick to the candidates, thats the best way to keep it clean. one love!!! |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Beaf: 9:48pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
mikeansy: Why should you feel intimidated? We are just having a discussion in which I am asking that you keep to topic and avoid cheap tactics. Period. The best way to keep it clean is stick to the topic, and even when extraneous stuff is brought in, it should be relevant. |

@ mikeansy Stop pretending to b open and objective in yor search 4 d next Aso-rock landlord. All yor ways point to d contrary. U easily find fault wit GEJ mildness but always find it difficult to see IBB's attrocities. We prefer a 'fearful' president (the way u put) than a killer, record-looter,friend-killer, wife-snatcher and less I forget a step-son killer. |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Nobody: 10:32pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
Beaf: I have demonstrated that you have not always stuck to the topic and so lack the moral right to demand that from me. How does accusing Buhari of stealing $2.8b dollars from NNPC add anything to the topic about CPC liaising with 35 other parties? Lets practice what we preach and not be hypocritical. |

Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Gbawe: 10:34pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
It is unlikely El Rufai will work for Jonathan If Ribadu will run . I doubt that EL Rufai will work against someone he believes is the best man for the job. It is like how you could not have paid most of the youth who worked fervently for Obama's victory to jettison strong ideology and switch camp to work for a candidate they do not identify with ideologically. Jonathan may have been told (by OBJ, Danjuma, Anenih et al) that everyone has a price but I think EL Rufai and Ribadu have no interest in money and both , after facing betrayal and exile, are now driven by a strong desire to correct past errors and set Nigeria on the path of greatness. Also, unlike folks like Anenih, Alao Akala, Fayose, Andy Uba , Ibori et al ,with no worth outside Nigeria , Ribadu and El Rufai (along with the likes of Okonjo-Iweala, Ezekwesili et al) are technocrats with skills and knowledge that is worth a lot in the International community. Tony Blair earned £200,000 per annum in office. Now , out of office he earns over £2,000,000 !!! Why would he need to accept dirty money ? We still have Nigerian Politicians/leaders/Icons with strong ideology who are motivated by a great Nigeria rather than the allure of money. I think El Rufai is in that category . Jonathan will find it impossible to enlist the support of those type of individuals . This is why we do not see any of those type of folks behind GEJ. Mr.President will struggle to get the most credible Nigerians behind him. Ribadu will not because most brave and outspoken Nigerian leaders have talked , for a while , of nothing other than Nigeria gaining a President who will have the strenght, conviction and bravery to tame corruption appreciably. Not many believes that man is Jonathan but many feel it may be Ribadu. |

Please all those who have not seen http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8507289.stm You will think his fans will be happy to see me do this but for some curious reasons they don't want you to see their HERO ? |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by marvix(m): 10:44pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
The problem on this forum is how people just love to antagonize our rulers/leaders as the case maybe. I was a staunch supporter of Yaradua even in his illness, what we were saying then was that there was no need to declare a human being permanently incapacitated and relieve him of his office but we can give his vice president full powers but whenever the president returns he would take back his seat and can reverse all that his vice did in his absence. Now Jonathan is president people are accusing him of being naive, a man who understands the Nigerian politics and played it right by not allowing his emotions get in the way wen his boss was ill and his subsequent ascension to office of Ag President after arm twisting the govs into accepting. No matter what Gbawe and co thinks this naive young man will win the elections free and fair because the first thing u need to defeat him is a solid alternative platform and uptil this moment there is none, secondly you need a credible candidate on that solid alternative platform. So a Duke on the LP platform is no contest and an Atiku within the PDP is a lost case a Buhari on the 35 party alliance is also bound to fail, If we get a Duke/Ribadu on the alliance platform then Jonathan has a contest. This is politics as it is in Nigeria not ghana or USA. |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Beaf: 10:47pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
mikeansy: My brother, that is the difference between me and you. Go back and check what I posted thoroughly and you will find that I did not accuse Buhari; but maybe you are just twisting facts sha. Now lets stick to topic, its not hard. Thank you. |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Nobody: 10:50pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
Beaf: How does that explain the fact that a topic that has to do with CPC liaising with 35 other parties saw you talking about NNPC and whether Buhari stole $2.8 billion dollar from NNPC? Are those two related in any form? In the light of this revelation do you have the moral right to lecture anyone else on sticking to the topic? |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Beaf: 10:56pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
mikeansy: Yes, I do . If you have pains about the other topic, go there and drop them there, this topic is titled, "El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director?" Your fellow traveller, Gbawe has just posted some stuff which I do not agree with, but nevertheless, is in synch with the topic. Lets all do the same. |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by marvix(m): 10:58pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
Gbawe: Gbawe why dont we wait and see Sept 18 is just 14 days away. El rufai said Ribadu has all it takes to be president does not imply that Ribadu will or should be president by 2011, If Ribadu ever wants to become a president of Nigeria in his life time he should know that this is not the time to contest, support jonathan now and in 2015 you can ask him to return you the favor. Obama did not contest against an incumbent and he totally supported a candidate who lost in 2004 but he made a name for himself in the opening speech he gave in campaign for Kelly, and also made a name in his performance at the Senate, Ribadu can start his political career from the senate or even his state assembly and let us see what he has to offer. |

You did not post in synch when others started threads, and can not demand of others to post in synch for you. Its called law of relativity. I am looking for more ridiculous interviews by Jonathan because the whole essence of this excersize is whether or not Jonathan is fit to be President in post 2011 Nigeria. |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Nobody: 11:06pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
marvix: Its amazing how in one thread you dismiss US & Ghana elections as having no co-relation to what works in Nigeria and yet in the same thread use the same US to draw an analogy as to how a Presidential candidate should choose to play his politics. Talk about selectivity. |

Beaf: Beaf caught out lying (again) !!! What a surprise Welldone Mikeansy . The dude is shameless. Despite how you have proven beyond doubt that he is a hypocrite well versed in double standards that pungently permeates his writing , Mr. Beaf is still arguing obdurately. Krendo warned him to stop digging deeper but nooooooooo !!! Beaf always has to be humiliated before he slinks away with his tail between his legs mikeansy: |

Beaf: Everyone can see , with your foul-mouthed areaboy tirade , that you are probably losing sleep, sanity, civility and a sense of equity and decorum just like GEJ . Abi you be the facebook President on Nairaland? You don finally snap because you now realise you are faced with "mission impossible" ? Abeg leave my mama out of this. She is a wonderful lady , like many Nigerian mothers . As someone brought up with civility and good manners , I know that Parents are off limit. I have no intentions of engagaing you in any fishwife face-off. I am a tad too classy for that. As I recognise the intrinsic 'agbero' in your nature you cannot suppress , I forgive you in advance for any future insults . |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Beaf: 11:43pm On Sep 04, 2010 |
Gbawe: So classy people lie where you come from? You lie so easily, but I'm not shocked when IBB is your hero. I find it extremly offensive when anybody bears false witness against me. For you, lying seems natural, so I group you as low life scum, like a mistake spat out from the gutter. You were the first to abuse me, so better stand and take it. Coward. |
Re: El-rufai To Be President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Director? by Gbawe: 12:06am On Sep 05, 2010 |
Beaf: Wow . I really must have upset you. You want a tissue or something? My man , you were caught out lying . Simple. By the way , you really need to see someone about your obssesion with IBB. In your head you may think Nigeria is full of 149 million IBB's (of course minus your virtuous Jonathan) but commonsense means that you , as usual , are deluded . Calling everything and everyone an IBB supporter may ease your pain temporarily but it won't ease your dissapointment if neither IBB or Jonathan is President in 2011. |
