Majority of the votes for GEJ in the SW came from the Igbos living there, only a few Yorubas voted, others stayed at home and didn't bother to vote, because they don't have their own running for President.

From what we've been heearing from Igbos on NL:

1) Igbos would not bother with other SW state
2) Lagos is 97% Igbo

Now, most of the SW nation voted GEJ (Skeptical), and now SW nation is 97% Igbo by the poster's logic.

The Igbos are vying so hard to get the applause for this result, which is truly sad because GEJ was NOT the best candidate out there. And I odnt think the applause will get you your 2015 presidential seat. It's moving onward to other groups.
GEJ is 97% Igbo as you ppl claim.

The Yorubas voted in ONE VOICE through both elections. They did not vote for party or tribalism. . . .they voted for developement. As they are progressive, they want progress. sto the Yoruba nation. I dont like the candidate, but I liked that we spoke in unity.

Will be watching the next 4yrs. . . .

These are the kinds of threads that Yorubas come into to defend themselves, threads made by Igbos to insult progressive Yorubas. After Yorubas come defending themselves, now you'll hear the Igbos crying about Yorubas hating them and what not. Why cry for attention when you usually dont like what you get. Makes no sense.

Why did we get 30% turnout in some SW states?
No Yoruba man for President?

Sad, sad,sad.

Obiagu, are you saying Igbos are about half the total population of Oyo (the Yoruba home) lol. There even more Northerners than Igbos in Oyo not to talk of the Yorubas.
BTW, THIS THREAD IS SILLY!!!

Why this thread Obiagu?

Yes, there was low voter turnout in the SW, but that does not mean we Igbos did it alone for GEJ.

It was a collective effort done by all Southerners and the Middle Belt.

Why do these Inferiotity Complx stricken people, keep making Useless threads like this
If Yoruba people were such ethnic bigots as you claim, how come the South West is the most Ethnically Harmonious region in the Nation?
Everybody flocks there, and never have we heard of such primitive conflicts in recent times.

Yeah, some of them are saying SW voted GEJ but it's clear over 70% of them didn't turn out to vote because no Yoruba man was running for President.
Most of the votes GEJ got in the SW came from the Igbos.

We must hold ourselves to a higher standard my brother. Either way, I like what I saw yesterday. The SE and SS as a solid voting bloc is a formidable power that can counterweight the political power in the North. This changes the political landscape of Nigeria for future generations.

SS + SE = Powerful voting bloc

Include the Middle Belt, and we have an unstoppable force.

It's good you excluded the SW because they are highly unreliable.

WHY DO YOU PEOPLE KEEP OPENING THREADS ABOUT THE SW?

STICK TO YOUR OWN BUSINESS

if the yorubas were really bad they would have voted for either candidate or tinubu could have ran for president losing but blocking GEJ and BB from more votes.- would have been a run off.
