It sure makes more sense than an invisible God who can't be questioned and conjured up the universe out of nothing. If you want me to prove to you the chaos theory and inexistence of your God I'll be glad to do that but that will be much later in the day. I hope you can prove the existence of your God , I'm sure to get a kick out of this. |

apocalypse:No wahala! the things he has created alone PROVES that he exists! just take a peep into your own body! Everything seems to be in the right places! Look at the Miracle of life! Look at your five senses. There's got to be a better explanation than that all those things came about by chance! Have you looked in depth in to the formation of a human baby from just a single male sp[b]e[/b]rm and a single egg! And then after 9 months you have a baby? Is that by chance or did someone actually program things to work that way? How do you know you are past your bedtime? your body, right? it reminded you to go sleep, right? Who put that biological clock in the body? Did it all come from randomness? or chaos? The chaos theory was formulated by a HUMAN! using things that were already existing! Is there any invention of man that was not from things already on the earth? What CHAOS would know that all these things would be useful to another product of chaos? Really looking forward to that discussion!  |

Sexkill was sent by his god to ruin the topic. , see what bible made him do. How could people live their lives through a manuscript thats bondage in itself and they talk of freedom. Even if I'm to be in a religion I need a 2012 version of the bible that includes computers, internet laws etc. I guess most of the old scripts where just political materials to govern the people and put them on check and nothing more. But then we have the new constitutions which are always updated. Moses 10 commandment for example was just to put order in place after their escape from Egypt I always tell people that. And its not from some fairy gods. You will see those are just basic laws , open your eyes! |

To all those who believe that there is a God, stop wasting your time which you could use to do something more productive trying to convince these atheists, who have crossed out all possibilities (in their minds) that there is a supreme being. I am actually a christian that believes that there is hell fire because my bible says that the wicked must not go unpunished. What better punishment is there to give a man who was given a long stretch on earth to repent but remained adamant, than to roast in eternal flames?  I hope that wont be your case. It is easy to prove all these scientific reasoning, laws, deductions etc with theories but I must admit, I really dont see how I can prove to you that there is a God using such means. Everything sexkillz has said is enough for a wise man to see reason (take note that I am not calling you foolish, we are all entitled to our opinions---sour as they may sound to another's ears!). if the world around you (as large as it is) cannot convince you, then I dont see what other thing can. And to that man that said that the success rate of prayers answered(was that how you put it? cant really remember) is 0.01%, well I am not surprised even though the statement is rather appalling. If I were God, I would make it even less for anyone who does not believe in me. How can you not believe in me, trying to rule out my existence all the time and you expect me to answer your prayers?  Anyway, if believing in a God makes me a nitwit, stupid, moronic, an eejit, a scallywag, ahahaha! I am definitely proud to be those. My belief in God remains firm as the roots of an old Iroko. @Harakiri and others, do you believe in reincarnation according to the Grail message. I find it easier to believe and using it as a reason why people are born into different families either rich or poor. When you ask the religious people 'why some are born into affluent or poverty sticken families?' they answer saying 'that is how God wants it, he gives wealth to his chosen ones. Where is Justice in this? |

I do not believe in re-incarnation and never will. My folks told me that I re-incarnated from my grandmother because I was born around the time she died. They even named me after her and I refused to be called her name. She was poor for the most part and I was not born into a poor family(Thank GOD), she was very short and I am tall, she was uneducated and I am fully educated, so i really dont believe in any of this re-incarnation ish as I clearly cannot see the tie in our DESTINIES. Why are people born into opulence and others are born impoverished? Do you believe in predestination? |

hmm, sexkillz, you're holding your own against several people. I'm quite impressed, most people would have buckled and fled the fort. @ harakiri, et all, I am not very impressed.Both sides have raised good points, asked thought provoking questions but only one side appears to be slinging the insults. Sexkillz' style of argument may be unconventional but that gives no one basis to insult his persona. it seems like you're taking this discussion too personal. each of you has a reason for believing what you believe, and why you hold on tenaciously to those beliefs. That is why you shouldn't throw insults at people because they are standing by what they believe. Your atheism doesn't give you the moral edge to insult his christianity or vice versa. Thoughtful people respect the views of others even when they are conflicting as far as such views are not harmful to either side. as to the discussion at hand, i'm a christian, and i don't see that changing any time soon (read ever). To me, this world and everything within and around it are way too ordered to have come about at random. In my life, I have seen reasons to believe in the existence of God. However, I am not like those conventional christians that hold on to the words of "pastor" tenaciously, like all of it is the gospel truth. I recognize that all our religious leaders are human beings and are fallible. so they can always use our beliefs to their advantage. Instead, i seek within myself and around me, the reasons to believe in God and I see them all the time. where the problem lies is this; God controls the spiritual, humans control religion. It's the reason why religion appears to be fraught with inconsistencies and near impossibilities. Even in science, there are many errors we may hold on to as fact, only for them to be disproved at a later date. Religion is the product of man, no doubt, but that is not proof of God's non existence. It is just an indicator that each person has to seek out God himself without tinting the search with other human beings' insinuations. I see God in my life daily (not physically, but the products of what he does) and I don't think i'm going to stop believing his existence.
