Russian Tanks Finally Enter Kyiv—Destroyed and on Display

Russian tanks destroyed by Ukrainian fighters have been put on display in Ukraine's capital Kyiv.

If you think Russia went into this war without thinking and planning and careful examining all possibly scenerios, then you lost it. What's the big deal with Finland joining Nato? They endangered themselves. Putin will move icmbs to the border facing Finland. If the Finnish people want to live with missles facing their country, goodluck to them.

They've enjoyed peace without aggression from Russia since second world war, but the new generation of leaders that didn't fought war are so soft and daft, that they are joking with fire. Go check out the map and see that even though Finland has 1300km of border with Russia, they are mostly Arctic wasteland.

You can't compare the geography of Finland with Ukraine. Ukraine is Russia's heartland, facing their industrial base, had Russians speakers, controls the black sea, and the longest border. Lithuania, Estonia, Norway and Latvia all share borders with Russia and are all in nato, but Russia didn't worry because when it comes to war, those countries are not a threat at all.

And listen, this is not 19th century where other countries haven't catch up. Only China has a population that doubles the whole 30 EU countries, so just China will swallow all the oil the EU get. I know you love the west but you should examine the hard evidence.

Put yourself in Putin's shoe guys. Russia had no problem being paid in USD/Euros, until the west decided to weaponize their currency.

Firstly, they froze over 300 billion dollars of Russia's money in their bank. Then they cut off Russia from SWIFT, then Joe Biden signed a bill to restrict Usd to Russia, with other sanctions to destroy and cut off Russia from the international financial market.

So what do you expect Putin to do? Do you expect him to still collect usd/euros that he can't use, to be paid to account that is frozen? What's the use of such currency? So its common sense that he will demand payment in a currency he can use, otherwise he would be giving oil for free.

Putin made it clear to them that he is not at their mercy. If you won't pay me in a currency that I can use, then no gas for you. Simple. The west are not used to being sanctioned, they consider themselves having some divine immunity that they are shocked they will be paying for gas in rubles.

That single decision of "gas for rubles" has made the ruble the best performing currency. From 1 usd to about 150 rubles in March during the peak of the sanctions, ruble has stood strong that its now 1 usd to 63 rubles. The west lay their mat, they should lie on it.
