People shout of "racism and unfair treatment" when it happens elsewhere. But when same happens in Nigeria, same folks support it.
free2ryhme: This is forced displacement or even ethnic cleansing, a plan unfair and rooted in discrimination, raising concerns about racism and unequal treatment.
That's about the same number of people that Hitler killed. We now know who the new fascist is!
Leobankx: The United Nations AIDS agency, UNAIDS, on Friday said more than six million people could die from HIV and AIDS in the next four years if US President Donald Trump’s administration pulls its global funding for programmes.
Having a two tier system of the central and local governments make a lot of sense. 👍
LibertyRep: Mere political gymnastics. The promoters could only use state creation as a carrot to be dangled before their supporters for political gains.
It will amount to wishful thinking to think that more states will be created under a democratic setting like this.
Why do we even need more states, when some are almost unviable.
Scrap the states and let's run the country with the president and the LG Chairmen.
Philogeny4: Mods Please Ensure this gets to the frontpage today due to the urgency and sensitivity of the matter.
It took me a lot of guts to bring up this matter here because I already know the reactions by majority of Nairalanders. I know I will be lampooned, lambasted, dragged, trolled and insulted. But no problems.
In 2018, I traveled to the village and collected some charms. These are charms for fortification and protection against Bullets, Bottles, knives, and other harmful objects. At the time, I had nobody to speak sense into me. Also I felt I acted on Impulse. When I was given, I was tested. A cutlass was used to cut me but it didn't penetrate. A Dane gun was used to shoot at me but it didn't penetrate. That was the first time I ever experienced this, I thought all these never existed for real.
The thing is more like a community thing, we did it openly. I didn't go to a native doctor elsewhere. It was done right in my community, almost all the youths in that community and clan were fortified so as to help them in time of wars and fights against the Fulani herdsmen who come to attack once in a while. Outsiders are not welcomed.
You have the one u can tie around your waist, your arm, neck, rings for slap and others. There's a particular one that tells u of a impending and imminent danger. I was also given some conditions on how to handle the materials. I witnessed one that disappeared from my room immediately I took it home, I went back to the Native men only to find it there. I was told I allowed a woman on her menstrual flow to enter my room reason it disappeared.
I don't fight, I don't look for troubles and I'm not expecting any trouble, fight or war. I'm not a villager. Also, civilization has made me decide that I want to return them, I don't have any use for them anymore. I was told never to burn or allow any pastor to burn them or dispose them if and when I feel no need for them again. That I should rather return them back so that the necessary things would be done on me. My place is very far, I stay in the North. I need to travel home. I want to serve my God now. Even if I don't serve God, I don't see the need for all these. What if I want to get married and my woman sees these charms? I know Politicians do same, but I am not a politician. I need Help
I agree with this totally. I'm not a Tinubu fan, but I have always realised that the problems we are having today are as a result of the incompetence, ineptitude, and the outright impunity and corruption of the Buhari era. He destroyed this country!
APC ruined this country. It started with Buhari. There is little or nothing Tinubu could do to restore the economy to where it was before Buhari smashed it. Indeed, the single solution to Nigeria's current situation is a change. APC must go!

GistMedia0: A shocking case has emerged involving a 100-level 19-year-old female student who allegedly attempted to poison her lover with Sniper, a deadly rat poison, in a bid to steal his car, phones, laptops, and other valuables in Ekiti.
According to reports, the suspect poured Sniper into a bottle of table water and offered it to her target. Her plan was to kill him, take his belongings, and flee. However, her scheme was uncovered before she could execute it.
What makes this case even more disturbing is that she had meticulously written down her plan in a coded "To-Do" list, by February 2.
A source provided interpretations of the cryptic notes:
"Get a P" = Get a poison.
"Learn how to D" = Learn how to drive.
"Take two P & L & D" = Take two phones and laptops and drive.
"><> to help finalise" = Allegedly a code to complete the plan.
"Buy the P by morning" = Buy the poison by morning.
The word "Herbalist" was also spotted in a corner of the list, possibly hinting at another sinister aspect of the plan.
The entire north united against the only positive proposal coming from this regime. This multi-partisan posture of northern politicians against the proposed tax reforms shows that they are not interested in the development and prosperity of this country. They are satisfied with being the clog in the progress of Nigeria.
This is an amusing quarrel between two political prostitutes washing their soiled underwears in public. I'm enjoying the free comedy.

Freedom of speech is not the same as freedom to commit mendacity and sedition. This same man told many lies against Peter Obi during the last general elections. Nobody cared because the falsehood he spread then was convenient for the ruling party.
dawnomike: We have freedom of speech/expression... But freedom after speech is not guaranteed!!!

On this one, I stand with the federal government. You cannot be reaping where you did not sow. That is exactly what the north has been doing for years, collecting the lion share of the VAT on products and services consumed in the south. This is unacceptable and unfair. Period.
Yes, really. What do expect in a jungle governed by a convicted drug lord!
Orissodiq: And na d same set of people will be calling Dia president "Druglord" and dia main business na drug trafficking, robbery, cheating, and forgery🤣 🤣 🤣
