Travel › Re: These Japa Coaches Are Lowkey Predatory by Nihao: 7:59am On May 25 |
Honestly, if only most people know that you can actually apply your visa yourself. All it takes is careful review of what the requirements are and patiently gather all of them and then submit, you definitely get your visa. Please do your research to any country of your choice and you will be fine. viralmoney25: I’ve been trying to find Nigerians abroad for work, interviewing them and asking how they relocated. One thing I’ve noticed during my search is how everybody is now a “Japa coach”.
Everywhere you turn now, somebody is selling a relocation masterclass, consultation, CV package, visa mentorship, Telegram group, “secret route”, etc. And maybe it’s just me, but some of the prices are insane 😭
Like, I understand people monetising knowledge, but sometimes it feels like they are taking advantage of how desperate and confused a lot of Nigerians are right now, especially because half the time the information is already publicly available or came from another random person’s Twitter thread. I even saw somebody charging for “hidden European countries Nigerians don’t know about” 😭 what's that about?
It just made me realise how deeply capitalistic and exploitative Nigerians can be, especially when we're in a seemingly better situation than before; we barely hear enough from normal people who actually relocated successfully without all this packaging around it. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Tanzanian National Brutally Attacked In Durban, South Africa by Nihao: 2:01pm On Apr 27 |
Please do add a little more effort to check how lazy SA workers are, if employer prefers them or not to other immigrants. They are the laziest among other African if you ask me. SmartPolician: You people don't understand what's happening and haven't made efforts to find out. I've listened to South Africans argue that their companies are resorting to cheap labour from black foreigners as against their nationals.
He gave an example of how they go on strike to demand pay rise only for their companies to fire them and hire foreigners who are ready to settle for peanuts. Their anger, in my honest opinion, is valid! |
