Your feelings are your feelings and while you are entitled to them, I am not. I saw enough of a completely unfit Bakayoko, fresh from knee injury, to be completely optimistic about his chances and what he can bring to the game.

Jamie Redknapp is not a Nairalander and he considers Baka an upgrade on Matic. Daily Mirror is not a Nairalander and they consider Baka an upgrade on Matic.

Ibime is already about to the pay the price for denigrating Bakayoko. If you too fancy sowing a seed into somebody's life, you can add some financial backing to your convictions - I'm sure somebody would appreciate partaking in the profits from cobhams business.

Knee injury is not a fitness issue. And the man just had his two knees operated on. I'm sure he was rushed back to play this game out of desperation and I can bet anything that he played this game with some lingering discomfort.

I'm sure you can appreciate what impact a knee injury can have on the simple task of walking, let alone trapping ball.

And even with that, he still did better than Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen according to Whoscored. Im happy with that debut. It was solid.

Bakayoko just had surgery on both his knees and played a full 90 minutes in midweek. He played a full 90 now....against a very tough Tottenham...on their patch.

He has trained only 1 week since last season. I do not expect him to push his body to the max just yet. I don't expect him to be contesting balls and jamming body anyhow.

The koko is that Whoscored say Bakayoko playing out of position on the right wing had a better game than both Eriksen and Dele Alli.

That's a very solid debut for me, especially given the circumstances.

It wasn't a blockbuster debut, and it was a tough opponent. It was a good solid debut though, and sometimes that's all you need.

Bakayoko did alright today considering he has had no preseason and just came out of surgery to play In a formation neither himself nor the club has played before.

Bakayoko was tasked with playing right wing today.

I don't know how Jese didn't work out at PSG. I once touted him for our 3rd striker/3rd winger position. I'm sure anyone coulda bought him for £20m this summer which is the same price PSG paid 12 months ago.

Jese is a popstar not a footballer. He was busy releasing music videos instead playing ball. He looked good today though, but it was Arsenal - and against a back line consisting of 3 fullbacks, 1 winger, and only one centre back - with a rightback at LWB. Arsenal made him look good today.

If you saw Essien and Makelele stats, you would assume Essien was the DM and Makelele was the B2B.

For a player like Matic, tackle is the last option while for Kante it's his first option due to his size and speed.

A player of Matics style seeing 3 defenders behind him and Kante never far from him, and with space under control will feel no need to tackle.

Not really, because Matic has doubled his tackling rate since he moved to Manyoo.

Also his tackling numbers in 14/15 were very high. The issue is that last season Matic was no longer required to make tackles because he had a different remit to 14/15 and now at United. Matic was expected to be the playmaker last season, except well....

Now he's back doing what he's good at so nobody is complaining. Back in 14/15 when he was doing the Kante role, nobody was complaining here either.
