Ibime: Hahahahaha. I can't believe you are talking about the L in relation to Ake and Rahman.
Nigga the L you are holding on this matter has travelled abroad and come back with PHD.
You told us Rahman was better than Ake. Conte literally chased Rahman out the club with koboko like Cherubim and Seraphim exorcist. Chelsea had no left back when Rahman was chased. In other words, Conte said "having no leftback is better than having you".
Then the same Conte went and begged Ake to return, then rejected £18m offer for him ontop.
Not only that but Ake was given Rahman shirt number with the indication from the club that Rahmans Chelsea career is over.
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/578874/Baba-Rahman-Chelsea-transfer-news-shirt-number-Nathan-Ake
Ake literally took Rahman spot, took his shirt number and kicked him out the club forever. No greater L has been given since Jacob stole Esau's birthright.
One L is not enough for this Rahman vs Ake debate. Nihilist, you better hold two Ls like LL Cool Js wife in za oza room. Rahman is away in Germany, On Loan, and injured. What does he need the shirt for anyway? Did you really need to type 8 paragraphs simply to make the point that a player who is not playing is wearing the shirt of another player who is also not playing?Take an L for being up so late, another L for ineffective use of Forum Space, and one more L for wasting my time. The Guardian goes in on Bykebyke and all the other rattlesnakes By now, we should probably know better than to expect anything else from Luis Suárez when he has shown, time and again, that as soon as he pulls on a football shirt he is to be regarded as being as trustworthy as a rattlesnake wearing a silencer. All the same, it does stick in the craw that Barcelona’s fifth goal came from the former Liverpool player not only engineering his own fall inside the penalty area but going down holding his throat in a severe case of pretend agony.
This was not even his most pronounced dive of the evening, given that he had already been booked for fishing out his leg in the penalty area – twice, in fact – in the forlorn hope that the nearest opponent might conveniently give him a tap. Suárez was booked for the first con and, if there were any justice, he would have been sent off when he tried it on again. Barcelona would be out of the competition. Unai Emery, the PSG coach, would not be about to lose his job.
This, of course, does not fit into the narrative of a great football story and perhaps that explains why various television pundits used words such as “clever” to describe what had happened, or decided they should ignore it altogether.
So, yes, call me a spoilsport, but count me out when it comes to nominating Barça’s victory as the greatest comeback in football history. They say Suárez is a nice man off the pitch; on it, he also has the soul of a pickpocket. |

Ibime: Forget European games, that is Europa league where teams send their substitutes to play. . Stop lying. Go and check the team sheets for all Schalke's Europa games and see if it was the 'reserves' as you describe it. Ale played only 12 games for Bournemouth who are nobodies in football. Rahman managed 21 games for Schalke who are European regulars. Take your L. How can Ale even be Bournemouth's best player? Another lie. Harry Arter and Jack Wilshere were the Bournemouth players of the month for October, November and December respectively. Yes, Wilshere the loan player won it twice in a row - no politics. Fact remains that Rahman was a regular starter and established squad member of a European regular. Nothing like politics holding him back in the bundesliga. The rest of what you said is irrelevant. Ake is back home now and isn't even making the bench, with only one left footed defender in the 1st team to actually compete with. He is not ready. That is all. Good night. |

Ibime: Baba Rahman was no starting player for Schalke. How can someone who started just 44% of Schalke league games be described as a starting player? If you insist on forming strong-headed with your inane Baba Wasteman better than Ake argument, we will use that same head to open coconut. Baba Rahman plays more games for Schalke than Ake did for Bournemouth. Out of 16 games, He started 7, came of the bench 6 times and only missed 3 games. He also started 4 out 6 European games for them. Started 1 out of 2 cup games. So he started 12 out 24 games. And played in total, 21 of those 24 games. You're the accountant So you do the maths. |

Ibime: My friend, you are twisting the argument. Your argument was that Rahman is better than Ake so Ake should be sent on loan. As a left Back, Baba Rahman us better than Ake. Rahman was an immediate starter at Schalke until Afcon injury. Ake did not see shirt at Bournemouth till much later on in the season and at centre back. Schalke to Bournemouth are not mates in football. Ake is back now and is not even making the bench. So you can't compare him to Chalobah who us actually making the bench and getting some league minutes. I said then that Ale was not ready. He's been called back and is not making the squad. What point are you even trying to make sef? How is Ake currently different to Ola Aina or Kennedy? |

Ibime: Ake is well trusted by the manager. The same manager recalled him remember? Why? Because he might need him,. Which is what I'm saying. Ake has gone from a place where he was a guaranteed starter to someone who might be needed How is that different to Kennedy? And what happens if nobody get's injured? He continues to develop on the training pitch innit? Puhlease. It's like I said at the start of the season, when yourself, diggz, mithel and co were chewing me out for having the temerity to agree with sending Ake out on loan - Ake is NOT ready. If you can't make the bench against, Leicester, Swansea, or West Ham, you're not ready. If the only time you make the team is when the club is playing lower league opposition, you're not ready. So it begs the question, why interrupt Ake's development at Bournemouth? The guy was gaining invaluable EPL experience every weekend - and now is only available to make up the numbers, and play backup to the backup. He has absolutely no chance in midfield this season, and is behind 5 defenders for a CB spot. He's also behind Alonso and Pedro(Or even Willian) at LWB Can you even describe Ake as a squad player these days considering that he doesn't actually make the squad? What a waste. |

Ibime: Blame the boss Alonso. If na Baba Wasteman who you were championing at LB, Ake would be at God level now.
The finality of the matter is that Ake is a boss player, 10 times better than Baba Wasteman who you were trying to send him away for. That was the debate, not this story you are telling us now.
We take care of our needs first as a club. For example, if Cahill gets injured today, Ake is the only player you can trust in that LCB, not relying on Matt Miazga and co. So we take care of our needs first, simple.
Same way if you are going into a season with Baba Wasteman as your first choice leftback, you must be uber incompetent to send Ake away.
Who knows, if Conte had spent preseason with Ake, we may have never gone in for Alonso. It's the same thing that happened on the other side when Conte spent preseason with Moses. As it is, Moses has developed more at Chelsea than in 3 years away on loan.
So leave the development story cover-up. You cannot send Ake away to develop, while simultaneously relying on Baba Wasteman in your first team. Ake has gone from playing week in week out to not even making the Bench for Chelsea. So he's not even in the running to replace Cahill if that one get's injured - Zouma is, and Terry is second backup. Even at LWB, Pedro is second choice after Alonso. If Ake, is not making the bench, he is not trusted by the manager. If Ake is not making the bench, then he is not developing. It really is that simple. I'm not sure what the point of referring to Rahman is, being as he is currently out on loan. |

Ibime: Let's buy the boy as 2nd choice leftback now. His cost is £8m now, later on it could be upward of £50m.
Ake is a valued member of the squad, exactly where we expect him to be. Any injuries in his three positions and he's in. BTW our first choice LB at the time was Baba Wasteman. Only a Stevie Wonder would claim Ake should go and develop elsewhere while Baba Wasteman keep costing us points in our first team. Shebi Ake is developing now? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Nihilist: 10:53pm On Mar 11, 2017 |
Ibime: You wouldn't buy a 16 year old like Sessegnon and get rid of your first team starter. If we buy this boy now, we are going to waste him. I think I've been vindicated in my stance that Chelsea is not a place for youth - just look at what Conte has done to Ake. I remember back then when you lot wanted Ake fast tracked into the squad, I was saying the boy wasn't ready, and keeping him in the squad would foil his development. The club has done exactly that. If this Sessegnon guy isn't ready for a 1st team shirt at Chelsea, I say leave him alone to continue developing in a place where he is guaranteed gametime, ten we can come back for him even if he cost's more. If we sign the boy today, Alonso has to chop bench strat. |

Bigkesh and Nihilist would have been shocked to read that Barca are seriously scouting Alonso and Matic for their first team. Apropos of nothing mate. Barca's transfer policy has been shockingly bad over the last few years.
