You can skip that part, and when you are back home, you can try it again. However, you will be in level 2 until you verify the house thing.
Quick question, it seems you convert to invest, if you need to use your funds in dollars. How do you get that and in good value for dollars?

Paramount is green today, as my top-up yesterday has been updated.

Zenith ESG and balanced fund: No update yet.
Tried signing up for Paramount they are asking for location access to my house, I don’t understand why because I am currently out of town for burial and it might take a few weeks before I go back. I wan rest for village

What's there apps to register from?
I don't understand what you typed. If you are referencing where to get the GTBank investing app, they don't have one that I know about. You can check the Play Store or App Store depending on which you use.

Check this SEC website for the current fund managers performing well at the moment. Ignore some of the false figures, as they don't match the actual YTD on their website.
https://sec.gov.ng/for-operators/keep-track-of-capital-market-data/net-asset-value-data/weekly-net-asset-value-for-cis/2026-weekly-nav-for-cis/
Please, I think we might have some kind of audio sessions or meetings lol if you don't mind. I have gone through the reports, and I have some questions. The YTD I am seeing in some funds is crazy; some are over 100%. but my main question is which is better to aim at NAV movement or YTD, or is there a balance to look out for?

From my review, the equity powerhouses are Zedcrest, ARM Aggressive, Zrok too, and Stanbic, but I am interested in more insight.

I think it's time we work at posting rates for the current services we have access to and use to make comparisons for us here. That might motivate people in terms of seeking good returns and learning the ropes if they decide to switch managers.

Did you have to input a token to link your investment account in the app or just your transaction pin? Been trying to link mine but get "invalid auth token" error msg when I enter my pin.
It used my facial recognition on my phone. I don't recall using a PIN, but it's either of the two; I haven't used my token in years.

Seriously? I found this shocking cos when I downloaded that App I found nothing related to Equity. Lool.

I will download and check again.

It's there; you might just skip through and miss it, but it requires you to attach your GT Asset Management account to your GT World account to make it seamless.

Home page, scroll down you see the investment section

This is the edge the Equity fund has over direct stock, because it's the fund manager that bears the cross or loss ( in case) while you take out your profit immediately you see red persists for days and, before it's too late.

But still, I believe a deeper search on Google or some solid AI may help explain the mystery behind this situation you raised above.
There is no mystery, wetin no get buyers no dey sell it’s that simple. If he discounts the amount maybe he will get buyers. You don’t even know why Odetola left in the first place to go to First Bank. Why you gats carefully following heavy investors they can move in heavy and leave heavy.

I saw a this guy who has heavily invested in geregu with amazing profit....but currently I learnt geregu is illiquid.

Here is my question...

How will he eventually sell this off?

Or does it means the money is trap for ever?
It’s up to him ideally to find buyers or reach out to other brokers to help him sell but he has to lower the price alot lower. People have offered lower and there are no buyers. Why one has to be careful where you buy stocks as an individual investor.

I don't think this is feasible. Minimum holding period for equity is usually 90 days for must fund managers, others 180days.

Or are they not followed strictly?
There is a breaking fee which should be around 10-20 percent on the interest made only. I guess that’s the logic

If you have any huge fund in MMF, kindly port your money to equity or stock. You can cash out after making a huge gain and port back to MMF or whatever.
Seems a lot of money is getting into stocks and equity currently and there doesn’t seem to be a ceiling.

It happened due to profit taking; nevertheless, the stocks in the Zrosk portfolio did well, such as Seplat, GTB, and Zenith.
With the new rule and proposed allocation for Pension firms, what’s do you see happening in the equity space?
InvestmentRe: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 12:56pm On Feb 12
Beeron:
Brilliant suggestion but the only hole i see in this is MMF investment will lose compounding effect power if she does this over time essentially turning MMF to basic savings account when she keeps moving the returns into equity (eventhough she isn't sure of the long term outlook of the stock market), we all speculating here.

In that ten years, MPR might be hiked again, people will move funds from Stocks back to MMF and ASI might dip due to that, will you now suggest she move the money back into MMF (of course that a loss after the dip).

Key point to consider is — Equity is suppose to grow money and MMF is meant to compound money so you will always lose when you rob Peter to pay Paul.
You’re spot on with your insight and I completely agree with that sentiment. However, I was thinking more along the lines of her doing it for maybe a year or two, just to gradually build comfort and confidence in equities before she starts channeling more savings back into the Money Market Fund (MMF).

From the accelerated learning I’ve had recently, along with some research and reading, it appears that many of those who consistently outperform in equity investing are individuals who buy small amounts regularly and simply leave the investments untouched over time. That approach seems balanced and practical with steady accumulation without trying to time the market.

That brings me to a key question: If the ₦5 million in the MMF were divided into three equal parts, allocating one-third each to MMF, a Balanced Fund, and an Equity Fund, would that structure potentially produce better overall gains?

Although I have not personally used Cardinastone, compared to other firms, First Ally app (myinvestar) stands out in addressing your concerns. In addition, the app offers other investment products beyond the Money Market Fund (MMF) that you may find beneficial.

Kindly use my code, SA-Emma if you decide to go with them.
Please note that my recommendation is purely based on an objective review, not necessarily because I'm their Rep.
Do they offer equity funds too?

Ok, got it. So only IBTC is compounding monthly.
regardless of the monthly compounding it wont add 1 full percent to the total interest on the capital even after one year.

Okay boss.....I want a little growth prospect....

Like 20% of ALL my funds to be in equity and dance with the seasons.....

I am NOT leaving mmf entirely..... imagine 2k on top 5M every day.....na savings account pro-max be that o o o

Hahahahaha.....

All these money I have invested is just around 600k....the gtbank own is my daughter's ( she has like more than 10 years to let the funds weather the storms)....

I intend removing 1M from the 5M in mmf to try Stanbic equity and Imaan funds....

What do you think boss?

Please note that I have NO immediate need for the money for now and even in more than 2 years time

Thanks for your concerns....it's well appreciated.....
I’m not sure if you want my advice, but depending on your investment style, conservative, balanced, or aggressive. I’d assume you’re more on the balanced side. In that case, you could consider adding new funds gradually into equities and balanced funds only and stop investing into your MMF.

Since prices are going up (and can also come down), there’s no need to rush a large amount of capital into the trend. Instead, invest enough to take advantage of market swings without overexposing yourself.

Rather than liquidating 1m from your MMF, you could simply move the monthly interest into the equity market and keep topping up gradually.

I know this is unsolicited advice, so abeg no vex for your boy. Thanks.

My Zenith balanced fund is also doing well at the moment. It is way better than MMF; however, it is a mixture of stocks and bonds.

Started my fixed alpha with CS on Sunday with my small 10k, lost today but good to see my work is in the process, as my oga said every Friday going forward we credit minimum 5k. A million this year my target. Then in two to three years I can move it to CSOF or Zrosk 5m is the goal. Roll out
