Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 7:14pm On Jan 20 |
welzyj2: Just invest around fixed income and equity. You can start with a percentage of your choice depending on available capital.
In the next 15 years, you will be smiling big
You can also consider mmf in instances you want more liquid funds I already think I am fine with MMF investment already not looking to add to it anymore. I am looking for more pragmatic offers like Equity, I have reviewed some equity funds and some have gone 400 to 300% in 6 years which isn’t bad |
Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 7:13pm On Jan 20 |
EquityM: Bro, MMF is good; this group is for high-risk investors. If you can't take a risk, please don't move your funds to equity oooooooo. Equity is not 10%, and neither is the fixed income fund 10%. Both pay better than MMF but come with uncertainty. Is fixed income fund a type of equity or mutual fund becuase my assumption has been fixed deposit kind of deposit. Kindly enlighten further. Thank you |
Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 5:44pm On Jan 20 |
welzyj2: For fixed income the returns aren't sacrosanct in reality considering the underlying assets. However, the risk is low compared to equity That’s true right now I am focused on medium to higher risk, I am trying to create a pension portfolio in the next fifteen years that would remove the need for me to work, just focus on investing and reinvesting any additional funds I get to leverage more into my pension portfolio. |

Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 5:13pm On Jan 20 |
EquityM: I ran a check on my investment portfolio using my office AI, and I was disappointed, as I have been investing wrongly. The AI told me to start investing more in the fixed income fund, as the daily earnings can match the equity earnings if the market isn't bullish enough. Furthermore, it accelerates faster compounding that leads to steady growth than equity funds. Basically, equity needs to be locked up to do the dirty job while the fixed income fund delivers steady income and delivers more steady income during the 4 seasons peak period. Following this advice, I will go more into the fixed income for a while and top up equity gradually, especially if the market is down. It even told me if the equity market is down, it brings more money, as it can skyrocket easily. Please i need some clarity on the note of fixed income, which fixed income investment option provided that much interest and can you state the rate if you dont mind. I have watch a good number of videos from Equity M and i am looking to increase and diversify from just MMF to Equity and Fixed income fund but from what i see around most are around 10% which is lower than MMF. Thank you |

New info is out and no charge on the officer, she was taken to court she pleaded not guilty, DA allowed her to go free and dropped charges l, the mayor has backed the actions of the police officer. She came in close contact with the arrested suspect who they later found out had a ghost weapon (gun) on him (which he was trying to reach) which would have been dangerous if she has gotten to it also as the officer requested she moved back after running towards the suspect but rather she started assualting the officer several times until he was forced to response from a safety standpoint. I hope she tries again maybe with a white officer the mayor said the officers showed great distrain maybe it won't happen next time. |

TheGoodJoe: The point is simple. She is wrong. There is no room to justify what she did. However, it does not make the use of excessive force by the officer right.
Armed Robbery is wrong, does not make jungle justice right. I pray they go to court extensively then we will know who was wrong legally, then moral grounds will be used also. Let them sue |

TheGoodJoe:
In what universe did you read it is okay. I Said she was wrong but the police officer was very wrong to use excessive force in such a situation. Well they were both wrong, one party was impacted more and in custody and might be charged further after review, she might go to jail or community service if body cam gives further proof and he wants more charges drawn up and he might get transferred or queried don't see him losing his job. So why did she do it in the first place, makes no common sense, what was she trying to prove when men stayed away. |
Crime › Re: New York Police Officer Punches Woman In The Face During Arrest (Video) by Niiade(m): 6:43pm On Sep 01, 2022 |
TheGoodJoe: She did not grab his gun. She did not make an attempt for his gun. So, he was not protecting himself because she would go after his gun. He just showed his force on someone weaker than him. At a scene to arrest a murder suspect and you run up really, to block the officer. Is ok |

TheGoodJoe: She did not grab his gun. She did not make an attempt for his gun. So, he was not protecting himself because she would go after his gun. He just showed his force on someone weaker than him. He will automatically know that from someone that just ran into the scene, starts blocking then and shoves at him when there were men standing away from the officers and recording. What was the aim of shoving and slapping an officer if you are not to be deemed dangerous, his reaction is extra but why charge into a scene that has nothing to do with you? |
Crime › Re: New York Police Officer Punches Woman In The Face During Arrest (Video) by Niiade(m): 6:23pm On Sep 01, 2022 |
mutantninja: Look carefully, isn’t the police to serve and to protect ? The power belongs to the people in the end. When you paint a mindset like this it gives room for oppressive behaviors from people that are supposed to serve and protect. What the officer did was wrong overall… if you look at it from an oppressive societal lens then it seems right. That lady was no real threat whatsoever, punching her like that seems a bit too inhumane as he was even twice her size. How is she not a threat? an American that has access to guns and is physically combative is not a threat until what point? When she scratches out his eyes with her nail or what? |

Mandem05: Na lie. The woman should file a lawsuit against the officer. She will win. She could have cracked her skull on that concrete. Lmao she will never ever win, besides counter sue can come in from him and also the police union. |

TheGoodJoe: Understand the point before throwing verbal abuses.
I did not say the man will be punished. I did not say what he did is illegal. There is a difference between wrong and illegal.
He is wrong to hit her. He should have arrested her for what she did, if he wanted to press charges. But, to hit her that way is very bad reaction. What do you think would have happened to the officer if she had grabbed his gun after assaulting him because he choose not to defend himself or space. |

FalseProphet1: I see that officer loosing his job, and as a black man, I see him going to jail.
This I have seen. I seriously doubt that, she was actively in the area he was trying to do his civil duty and he defended himself, what if she had grabbed his gun in that close range and killed people, the officer will face worst. There is police union and they won’t allow it fly that you assaulted an officer you will be responded to with force, he could have used a stun gun on her and that same reaction will happen. The only reason she is even getting off with a punch is because she is female, if it was a man aside the punch they will ruff him up badily while he is still on the floor, y’all wanted equality y’all got equality. |

Family › Re: My Wife Is Pregnant Again And Our Kids Are Only 1 And 2 by Niiade(m): 2:27pm On Mar 25, 2022 |
eaglebeliever: My wife had our kids through CS and we live in US. There was really no help and she feels really tired. We took almost 2 years before trying to conceive again and it was condom throughout. We had our second kid and she's not even seeing her period yet but she's so scared of getting pregnant again so its condom again until we start trying for our last kid. I'm a man who has seen her cut open twice to bring out our daughters and I feel the least I can do is to standby her and make the sacrifice. It has nothing to do with being weak, having waited to conceive for 4 years, I just dread the day when she will be pregnant and regret it and blame me for it. That will be stupid, especially thinking about the prayers we made to have our first child. I feel your pain bro, my daughters are 3 years apart and I know what I go through here in America. But again, the deed is done. God will see you through. Your pain can never be compared to the pain of waiting. Let that be your consolation. You are a wise man, I dont understand how the OP had to depend on one means of contraceptive. Considering you are meant to be very concerned about your sexual health as much as hers, what happened to checking up her circle and safe periods, condoms and spermicide. You cant just be having sex as much as you want it because you are married haba when its not like teenagers that are just meeting for the first and you know the stress and toll its taking on both of you and you guys continue without considering using as many safe options as possible. Married men use condoms and others means to ensure they stick to the plan they have for their famiies, you are endangering your wife's health please take good of your wife and your kids very well and you cant complain about the stress and more stress coming because you made the decision and here are the consequences. Lets say your wife is emotional and wants sex, you should be logical to know how to protect yourself extensively from getting her pregnant, you are already expecting please wise up before its baby number 4 next year. Enjoy i am sure you have the finance already thats why its not bothering you much, you go dey alright las las. |

You and me know how we guys treat women with disdain most especially when it's time to get married. I know what some guys subjected ladies to, let us stop giving unnecessary excuse Please i do know whats happening out there, Most people sorry alot of people date without intentions, random dates, sex mates, friends with benefits. if you date with intentions of marriage on its premises of a good marriage not wedding day you will see bull shit from a mile away except that man is a master pro or has deadily narcissistic personality disorder, once you see it keep it moving but yes as always we will not take accountability or responsibilty for decisions made we will blame the other party forgetting you agreed to be with them thats what i call unnecessary excuse. if you agree to be with a man that subjects you to to ill treatment its on you and noone else. |

Brightw278: I was discussing with a friend of mine during one of his visits this past weekend, we talked about politics, football and a whole lot of interesting topics. We were in the middle of discussion when we tuned in into this popular reality tv series on dstv, “finding the one”. So we switched topic
I was trying to explain to him why we have many ladies looking for suitors in Nigeria and the main reason being this harsh economy. I told him no man would want to settle down until he has something to fall onto and has a good job that can sustain a family but my friend thinks otherwise.
He said the reason why some ladies get really old without suitors coming their way is because they must have ignored a lot of guys during their prime (20-28) and once reality set in they become desperate.
I told him I have a sister who is perfectly fine and doing well but good men ain’t just coming her way, but he just wouldn’t agree. I can’t believe people still think this way in this 21st century. He was telling me no matter your looks and all someone must approach you, I had to calm him down what if those coming your way ain’t even somebody you can settle with. Guess his reply? You just have to endure and get married like that.
This a guy went on for some hours before I just decided to call it a quit and told him we should just enjoy our football match.Personally to me I think nobody should be forced into marriage when he /she ain’t ready.
I just want to seek you guys opinion, he will also be on nairaland reading this. Should the sole reason of not being able to find suitors be attributed to youthful exuberance alone? Do girls who find it difficult to find a man must have been to choosy in the past? Your opinions will be highly appreciated Hell no to enduring, The main fact is there are three things involved for people like your sister. 1. She is avoiding or friend-zoned alot of the men that could or be suitable for her (he is short, doesnt have money, he doesnt have a matching executive job, etc etc all those classes we place good men into and seek them wrong men with non important factors) 2. She is attracting those wrong men, so she is a relection of what she is getting and cant blame those men for approaching as thats what she is giving off. 3. She is relaxed and waiting, Women esp those that we tag as loose are ready and are out there looking for men, good men to settle with and will go to place where they can be to get them. how much time does she spending socalizing or being in gathering of where responsible young men will be, or she is at home or working and expect to meet her suppose wonderful suitor there, she needs to get out there, be available, approachable and in some cases ask the guy out for a date or drinks, abi we are now modern no more green light, go for the man you like no time o. you think side chick get the men from working and sitting at home after work na they are out there. |

A bag of rice is about 50 dollars in the US and people dont buy that much rice it doesnt make any sense to, its in Nigeria here be buy that much because of price hikes and since we no get plenty cheap options to eat.
Minimum wage is 30,000.00 cant buy a bag of rice. converting 50 dollars to naira is 23,700.00, so rice is even cheaper in US than Nigeria. its make no sense at all even with the disparity in currency |
