They sent me the historicals and it goes like this;

2020 - 29%
2021 - 17%
2022 - 65%
2023 - 132%
2024 - 116%
2025 - 83%

What company and what fund type? Thank you

I’m shocked they still crushed it during covid when everywhere was red. They must have made alot of people billionaires

Bro i went oo. I now understand why the gains for the csof is higher.

Basically, csof only invests 100% in equity while equity funds are a mix of equity and other money market instruments

Also, the equity funds are limited to the 30 top companies in the NGX while CSOF invests beyond these.

CSOF also has dedicated fund managers taking position in stocks after “strong research and information”. This means they can exit and take position on short notice unlike the equity funds where you are stuck with those 30 top companies come rain come sunshine.

Also, capital preservation is zero on csof, this means it’s all risk

I will sleep on it and decide what to do

There may be more to it that they cant divulge though.
Please which fund is CSOF? Thank you

You can start trading right away; they are in the top three stockbrokers in Nigeria, and they are the richest of all stockbrokers in Nigeria. Contact the CD registrar for your missing shares.
i sent an email to there enquires desk, once updated i would move my share to them and maybe i can start buying penny stock. I am very keen on penny stock only for now any idea to get informed information on these, i am also watching Beeron's videos but i am not gambling with major stock. When i get dividends or any major up move on a penny stock will sell part of it and buy value stocks.

CardinalStone users, please update your NIN and BVN via their website. Today, I signed in via the web, and I saw a pop-up to enter my NIN, which automatically displayed my tax ID.
immediately i inputed my NIN, my tax number came up straight.

Omo, CS already have opened a CSCS account and CHN number for signing up, they are not playing at all o. Are they good for stock broking?
I get some small stocks i brought in my university day and never got feedback from my stockbroker before he disappeared or died cus he was an older gentleman back in the day and never got confirmation on some of the stock he said he purchased, can CS find them and move them if they are a good stock broking firm, i signed up with Stanbic last year and ARM in 2022 and till date they didnt give me any CSCS or CHN number lol but in less than 5 mins CS has done it.

Here are all the details, my confusion in puctures.

Observe ;
The total networrh.
The Total return.
The closing value.
wait is that 3000 naira in one day from 500k investment, EquityM is that how the profits come in? but my next question is if we make 3000 today, can the value drop aftterward or are there negative days that take away from the profit?
InvestmentRe: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 3:17pm On Feb 03
EquityM:
Since you just signed up yesterday, your returns will be lower due to the NAV. The 600 naira you saw is your gain for that day, which will be added to the total value; however, your units won't go up unless you top up or make a redemption.
I just signed up with CS now and i am looking through the details for fixed income and i want to understand how the profit or income is calculated, upon looking at the profile information it shows 19.77% for 2025. how would that surpass MMF if some MMF were on 22% in 2025?

How is the income or profit really calculated to understand which gives better returns in the lets say a year, please i understand you have explain it time after time, i just need clarity for my own understanding, no vex i can be slow in learning things.

Hmmm. I see why bonds are making tremendous gains.
Is the govt in charge of paying this bond directly or the electric companies?

Strange thing is the charges don't change irrespective of the channel. All funding options have the same charges., don't know if it varies with amount but 100k had charges of about 1200. Nest is to stick with the option provided by EquityM
That’s crazy, beginning to think there is an understanding for small and medium scale investors so the more they withdraw and deposit the more charges can accrued to income for them. What firm is that please?
InvestmentRe: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 6:16pm On Feb 02
t33why:
Oh ok, so I can just ignore the pay stack options in my account. Those are the options there in the image. I tried to do a test 100k deposit and the charge was1kplus .
Good this is that they have various methods for withdraw, check the ones that are cheaper in fees and go with it, if its opay open an account get it up to take large amounts, then move it there and then to your regular bank account, that should be N100 in total with what ever fees they charge to move the money to Opay. Alot of them are limited this show options and willing to give you access to those options.

I'm not sure, as most fund managers do not mention filing taxes.
I don’t think you understand my question, basically if you make profit from the equity fund account, with the new tax law requiring self reporting, are you mandated to report the profit made from equity that you have withdrawn from your equity fund account with the financial institution.

TrustBanc is doing a great job; even though I don't use their app, they respond quickly when I top up and send them the receipt.
It seems cowrywise charges a fee of 1.40% any idea if Trustbanc charges are management fee for MMF. Thank you

Tonight, we may see green.

Right now, these managers of equity funds are doing well.

9.79 YTD for Zrosk
7.05 YTD for CardinalStone.
6.80 YTD for Afrinvest
I'm not aware of any other fund managers YTD at the moment.
quick question, are any gain made from the sale of equity funds are they subject to tax as in personal income tax or are tax related parts deducted by the firm handling the equity funds. Thank you

My fellow investors.

I am not impressed with the online redemption process with Stanbic IBTC MMF. Initiated a redemption last week Thursday: nothing.

I have initiated another today (before 12noon), let me see how it goes.

P.S. This is my first redemption since i started investing with them.
I made my withdraw around 4pm yesterday and I got funds in my account around 8am today.

Lovely discussion going forward, hopefully at some point we can recommend how to start our own equity investing and learning to balance investment in direct investment which is also a form of setting up your own mutual funds but seeking growth. Right now, I think it’s time to focus on growth for the next five years, then take a portion of the profits and invest in MMF, just balancing the equity portfolio but I would estimate maybe around 10 percent withdrawal every year after five years of growth.

I am starting my main equity investment this year.

Thank you guys for ver insightful discussions and I like the question about what steps to take and which providers to align with, let’s kuku move away from 5k investment.

What’s a good starting point basically, 1m, 2 m or 5m and what investments one should go for with the listed amount would be helpful.

Etf are traded on the stock platform of any stock broker

There are quite a handful of etf you can trade. As at yesterday ETP were at 78.71bn
The section circled would that be the ETF on Stanbic
