I did mini twists on my natural hair and it's really scanty, it's not as full as I expected or as I see on the internet, guess it's due to my hair texture which is soft to a fault and not so full.

Thinking of redoing it though, maybe a micro-mini twist this time so it would at least cover my scalp.

I joined this group on facebook called Natural Hair Babes, it's really informative and motivational.
Everyone hair is different and not everyone has so thick and dense hair. If your hair is not full, twist might not be for you. Fluffed out styles might be better for your hair type.

Loool, your post is so so funny.Pele I feel for you.

First thing, every ones hair is different and natural hair doesn't mean one solution will fit all.
I looked through your stash and I noticed you are missing something that as a natural you should have, leave in conditioners. They help to soften your hair. Just close eye and try and get one. Cantu Shea butter is relatively cheap and the quantity is quite large. It will last you for a long while.

Until one sees your natural hair, I cannot guess at the texture of your hair but from your description, your hair is thick (coarse), will most probably be a type 4 and is high porosity (meaning it cannot hold moisture very well). All these are guesses sha.

And also most of the treatment which you are doing involving egg and coconut oil and milk wont really be good for your hair. They are mostly protein treatment and will make your hair hard. If your hair is thick naturally (coarse) they wont be good for you.For now I think you should stop them and concentrate on moisture treatment. Get tressemme natural, they are relatively cheap.

For your oil, you can use olive oil instead of coconut oil, olive oil acts as a good leave in conditioner. And instead of spraying only water on your hair, add some olive oil to it, add some leavein conditioner like cantu and glycerin. It will better moisturise your hair and soften it.

When you got to braid, try to stretch your hair out a bit, it would be easy for you and the hair dresser.

Hope this helps.

nB. I typed this in a hurry, forgive my typos.....

SexyFox:
I tried to twist my hair. But it was so scanty looking.
Looool, same thing here too, whenever I attempt a twist and twist out, i just dont bother because my twistout looks so sickly. The troubles of a fine-head low density natural. I just do other hair styles like puffs and buns. I do twist out to get a textured look

Hello All,

Very nice thread. I was following it for a while and lost track of it. I have been natural for about 4 years now and it is nice to meet others who are serious about their natural hair. A good job is being done here. Keep it up.
Car TalkRe: Car Models And Prices! by Nikky04(f): 12:36pm On Jun 07, 2013
The info for Kia and hyundai cars is incorrect. I remember 4-5 years ago, the prices for the Hyundai is still the same as what's above and I know for sure the prices have increased since then.

The prices below are some of the current prices for Kia cars as is on their website. It should give a basic idea of the ranges of car prices

Car TalkRe: Pls I Need Advice: Car Vibrates At Idle by Nikky04(f): 12:24pm On Mar 26, 2013
I had this issue, My car had exactly the same issue use to vibrate so much and would take ages to accelerate. Took it to my mechanic and he said it was a coil issue, he had it taped as a temporary measure but advised me to change the coil, which I did last weekend.

No longer have the issue, the vibration has stopped and the car accelerates well now.
Car TalkRe: How Can I Overcome My Phobia For Driving A Car by Nikky04(f): 10:03am On Mar 14, 2013
Before I started driving I used to be so scared of cars and driving. Whenever people drive, I would cringe and almost have a heart attack. I wondered how they could navigate especially in tight, traffic filled places.
I got a car and when I was tired of staring at it repeatedly, I had some people to teach me, the first was patient and taught me the basic essential skills(thank god for that), the second was a bit crass n used to spend some additional time insulting me especially since I refused to go beyond gear 2 on the express (I understand his frustration now), I was slow and steady and took my time sha. The first time I drive into the express, fright made me remove my two hands from the steering, the guy almost slapped me, lool
One day I just got tired of his jabs and decided that if we die on the road it will serve him right, and I drove that day like I meant it. I thought of all the money I spent, the time, the insults and all the humans driving and was like what the heck. I shocked him but I was determined that I was not going to be a slouch or be referred to as "oh, na woman dey drive". From that day, I never looked back plus I find I enjoy driving, a lot and fast too wink.

Just take it slow and steady, and build up your confidence. It is all in your mind

Nice work you have on here, keep it up.

If I were to respray my Honda prelude (a two door coupe) from red to silver, or to just respray the same colour, how would it cost? The body is also pretty beat up and would need body work, how much would everything cost?

Thanks

It is only in Naija we buy phones without proper assessment. I bought BB 9810 last month & I want to trade it off now for either a Samsung or HTC high-end phone. I like MULTITASKING so much that I become frustrated when I am on BB. I am not condemning BB, I personally need something SMARTER. I have 4 emails running well, besides that I use my iPhone 4s most of time because it doesn't drag.

I don't even like BBM interface, I prefer WHATSAPP which works fine on BB (no need for PIN). It is very light and u sometimes need no data service. The cool part is that it has delivery notification. I prefer eBuddy(XMS), Nimbuzz, IM+,etc.

BB is good for corporate & Naija environment.
Frustrated with Multitasking? on a bb? Pray how? Please could you give us an example of this?

BlackBerry hacked for cooperating with London police
August 09, 2011|By Brandon Griggs, CNN

The London police are posting photos of suspected rioters on their Flickr page and asking the public to help identify them.

After three days of rioting and looting in the streets, London's unrest is moving to the Web.

Research in Motion's Inside BlackBerry blog was hacked Tuesday after the Canadian smartphone maker suggested it would cooperate with London police to help identify rioters who may have used a BlackBerry messaging service to plan mayhem.

A hacking group calling itself TeaMp0isoN took credit for the attack, which involved posting a statement on the BlackBerry blog before RIM removed it.

"Dear Rim; You Will _NOT_ assist the UK Police because if u do innocent members of the public who were at the wrong place at the wrong time and owned a blackberry will get charged for no reason at all," the statement read in part. It then threatened to make public a database of RIM employees' personal information.

http://articles.cnn.com/2011-08-09/tech/london.rioting_1_blackberry-messenger-uk-police-hacking-group?_s=PM:TECH
Seesh! are you for real?

What was hacked was a BLOG not the BBM application. Please try not to show off your ignorance.

RIM's security features are still unparalleled and second to none. As food for thought, try to think of a reason why the President of the United States is using it.
PhonesRe: What Is The Matter With Glo (globacom) Network? by Nikky04(f): 3:12pm On Nov 25, 2011
This is very true. Glo network has been very bad and i do not think it is location related. Even as I am typing this, my glo service is down and for the past 1 week people has been complaining that they can not get me on my glo line. Even to make calls to a glo line, i have to use my etisalat line, calling with my glo line is a waste a time and a sure recipe for frustration.

GLO BIS is an rottening kettle of fish. Network is epileptic and browsing a website is a whole days job or putting it simply, a waste of ur valued time. In fact just generally regard GLO as a problem child. SMH

Was wondering when someone would mention Greg Iles. He is the one author whose books I have found refreshingly engaging. I would recommend his books to any connoisseur of good books.

My favourites are Mortal Fear, True Lies, Dead Sleep, The Quiet Game and Blood Memory; in fact all his books. We re - read mortal fear self after am through with Oliver Strange's western series - "Sudden"

For you to start/launch the system recovery:

Under disk management, right click the D drive (HP recovery) and select "mark partition as active", and restart ur system, it will boot into recovery mode, just follow all the prompt and pick the default, after about an hour and a half you should be as good as new.

But before you follow all the steps ahead please back up all ur files.

That's all there is to it
