What a liar

I won't say a word than laugh at your ignorance. What will I gain from saying someone from my street was evacuated and died afterwards.

Well personally I don't know anyone who has been infected or died of the novel covid-19 virus, with the hype and rate of increase as purported by our government and the secrecy sorrounding those they claim to have it, I have my doubts regarding the figures.

I have personally followed Ghana on worldometer.info and Ghana's covid cases has remained below 1300 and just 9 deaths over the past week(s). So what does Ghana know that we don't.

Also I read a report on yahoo news saying sunlight easily kills the virus and we all know that the sun in Nigeria can boil yam in the right circumstance.

Another thing I noticed is that as soon as the European union gave Nigeria a 27 billion grant, the cases started to rise uncontrollably. Anyway thats my observation.

So do you know anyone with the virus or has the NCDC Being to your area to pick any suspected case.

Let us know.

Someone in my street was picked up on Sunday by the NCDC. Reports came in Monday morning that he died from complications. His family and neighbor are still on quarantine.

How is your baby doing?
Assuming this is coming in time, you may:

1) Carefully keep a relax spirit about this issue. This will give you room to study the feeding habit you are imposing on the baby and the kind of change you will need to address to shift this issue shift to annul. A relax spirit will ward off the immediacy to act quickly and experiment hurtful negotiations that are not necessary to try.

2) Know that some reflux are normal in most infants and may reduce with time.Normal burping procedures and normal feeding process should be in the doing and not changed. You may need to:
a) avoid shaking the baby's head and body after every feeding.
b) avoid feeding the baby too frequently.
c) avoid feeding the baby just too immediately after a reflux. Learn to allow some minutes or an hour before before refeeding.
d) feed baby with little quantity of water after some reflexes. This shouldn't be all the time, but giving him little quantity after a reflux could help in replacing thirst and body dryness. Watch out for urination. Then give feeding a trial.
e) stop feeding baby for a long time if possible.
f) study how comfortable your baby is to know when to give feeding. This will predict to suggest whether a long feeding or short feeding is necessary:
i) after any medication
ii) a temperature change
iii) a sudden fall
iv) after a sleep.

3) Does any change comes with this reflux? For example, do you observe that he hardly passes faeces? Hardly sleeps? Passes scanty urine? Passes watery faeces? Hardly cries or cry too often? changes in movement in the eyes and eyeballs? Color of urine and faeces and the impression on the waste pads? Change in breathing?

4) Seek the help of a Pediatrician if possible to know what is the most available help you can get in the present practice to such presenting case.

5) Kindly let other experience mothers be known of your present dilenma, they may have one good input to shift in that will either reduce or stop the degree of the refluxing or even change your mental state on how you see this challenge.

On number 5 I've talked to some mothers even here on nairaland and they have been helpful.

My dear, congratulations first, reflux can be frustrating, however try to feed baby little by little, like 5 mins burp and then continue, till you establish what works for you both.
This phase will soon come to pass

Thanks love. I tell you it can be really frustrating though I've discovered expressing to feed with cup and spoon works for us a bit so we are on that for the time being. We will continue to find ways out. This too shall pass.

Yes o, stopped at about 22mths. Altho it reduced b4 then.
It wasn't easy esp. Since he's a slow gainer. Tried everything you mentioned earlier, they probably helped a bit but didn't stop it. We also ensured we didn't let other people feed him. Just DH and I handled feeding even till we introduced solids which wasn't easy at all.

Just ensure you feed him in bits and take short breaks inbetween. Also reduce quantity of each feed and maybe increase the number of feeds.
Think it will stop earlier than ours cause we used to experience it more than 1ce daily. And if we go a day without Vomitting it was really a big deal for me
Kisses to your LO kiss

Thanks so much for this I appreciate. I know it's not going to be easy if it's going to last for long, cos he will be starting creche in few weeks time that's why I'm particularly concerned. I pray they are able to handle him well.
Please is it reflux that makes his tummy rumble a lot? cos it really does.
kiss kiss to your DS also

Ds had it too and I tried all the above mentioned but didn't stop. I had to wait it out
He's own lasted till almost 2yrs. But it has finally stopped now
You just have to wait it out, and try to avoid it as much as possible by doing all you listed above.

Did you just say 2 years? shocked shocked angry angry angry

Please how did you ensure he takes enough food? Before now I was very sure he's taking enough until it got bad yesterday, like he vomited almost everything he took though that has happened only once today.

Good days docs. It's been long I came in here, please I have a problem. How do I manage reflux in my 7 weeks old baby? I feed him in bits and burp him but before the belch comes out the milk comes out. I've tried sitting him upright in a position for long also but it doesn't seem to work. Please what else do I do? It's getting to my nerves. Thanks

Sometimes no matter what you do, you will get stretch marks no matter how much oil and cream you use. Don’t call them ugly ahbeg, most of the women here will get them, and we are not trying to feel bad about ourselves.

I rubbed Shea butter on mine at every opportunity I had but when I was looking at my tummy today only one thing was on my mind. " It's not ugly"
