These changes may have nothing to do with carbon in our atmosphere, but are actually linked to the magnetic poles shifting? I think that the poles are about to flip so the magnetic north pole will be at the south or may go a complete different way, and this could be why all the temperatures are changing, because the magnetic field won't be as effective as it is at the moment. Most of the western scientists has been biased when illustrating the effect of climate change in Africa, most of the time they noticed the real weather changes in Africa does not tally with the models they created that supports the idea of global warming, so they concluded that effect of global warming is confusing in The African context. don't you think is time we decide our own destiny?.

Ocean cooler, less salty

Hobart - Scientists have discovered a rapid change in the temperature and salinity of deep waters in the Southern Ocean that could have a major impact on global climate, the team's leader said on Thursday.

Australian Steve Rintoul said the multinational group of researchers had found that waters at the bottom of the Southern Ocean were cooler and less salty than they were 10 years ago.

The size and speed of the change surprised the scientists and could indicate a slowdown in the flow of deep water currents, he said.

"Ocean circulation is a big influence on global climate, so it is critical that we understand why this is happening and why it is happening so quickly," Rintoul said after he and his team docked on Thursday at Hobart on the Australian island state of Tasmania.

"We really need to dig into this much more than we were able to do on the ship to try to be more definitive about whether this is climate change or a natural climate cycle," he said.

The team sampled 3 000km of the Southern Ocean basin during an eight-week expedition aboard the Australian Antarctic Division's research ship Aurora Australis.

Their findings added new urgency to the study of climate change, he said.

"It's another indication that the climate is capable of changing and is changing now," he said.

"What we need to do is sort out if this is human-induced change and if so, how rapidly is the climate going to change and what will the impacts of that change be?" he said.

A huge boost to climate research

The new findings emerged a day after the UN's Kyoto Protocol on climate change came into force. The treaty aims to cut production of so-called greenhouse gases believed responsible for a warming of the Earth's climate.

During its expedition, the Australian-led team released 19 free-floating ocean robots known as Argo floats, which are designed to drift with ocean currents to better measure temperature and salinity.

The floats, part of an international ocean-monitoring effort, drift about 2 000m underwater and surface every 10 days to deliver findings.

Rintoul said the Argos would provide a huge boost to climate research.

"They will revolutionise how we understand the ocean, in particular to determining climate change and shorter climate cycles," he said.

"One of the real challenges for us when we try to answer the question of 'is this climate change?' is that we only have measurements from a few southern snapshots," he said.

"We haven't measured it continuously in time so it's hard for us to tell the difference between a cycle, something moving up and down, and a long-term trend. That's the real challenge."

If you notice the west was shouting of GLOBAL WARMING in the past, but now is been down coded to CLIMATE CHANGE, in the 90s the western scientist predicted that ''when global warming intensifies'' that Africa would be inhabitable, because of an expected leap in the temperature of Africa, judging by the fact that Africa or most part of Africa lies on the line of equator.


Based on the research I carried out in some north eastern European countries [ this areas are among the coldest habitable place on earth], the mark of ''when global warming intensifies'' has been attained and has been surpassed long ago, but research has proved that the only places that has experienced a slight wormer temperature is only the northern part of Africa [ie the places that has the influence of the weather of the norther hemisphere], though the changes are still microscopic conpered with that of Europe and the northern hemisphere, while the southern part of African is getting cooler, and this might extend to some other parts of Africa.


There is also proves that the southern oceans are getting less salty and cooling. when I started my research in 1994 most countries in the north Eastern Europe has an average of NINE MONTHS of cold wintry weather [ie autom and spring and winter are all freezy] but today some of this countries experiences TEN MONTHS of summer like weather and TWO MONTHS of fluctuating wintry weather.


My conclusion is that climate change is a result of tilt or tilting in the earth magnetic pole that may or may not have been induced by the emission of the green house gasses in the atmosphere, I believe is a weather circle that must happen some time, but the question is ''if it should have been happening now''. African's seems not to be interested in researching on climate change and we might be taken by surprise, and that may be very diverstating, what do you think?.

I have one more thing mention.

I am not here to sugar coat anything, I am here to tell the truth. Some people in Nairaland like it when I tell the truth and some people in Nairaland don't like it when I tell the truth. This is house Negro mentality. The house Negro is the one who does not want any trouble that will take him out of the house into the fields. He is the one who identify's with his master more than his master identify's with him, the house Negro. The house Negro will hear the field Negroes planning an escape and he will tell them that they are trouble makers and they are going to cause trouble for everyone else, he really means his self though. In other words, make him have to work even harder than he already works. I feel sorry for the house Negro that he did not believe in his self or his fellow brothers and sisters.

I have been labeled as a trouble maker, someone who goes from thread to thread starting verbal fights. I don't do that, however, what I do is, I do challenge people to look at their self.  I say, It is not like I am in your face, if you want to ignore me, you really can, so, why do you respond to me, if I say, or ask something you don't like?

To me the very fact that people direct comments towards me, or to me when they do not agree with me, and I am not in their face, say's something. I will leave what it say's up to those people and their experience of me.

My opinion is, the ones who don't like the truth, live in a particular comfort zone. They don't want me trying to mess with their cozy comfort zone. When, if they were that secure with their comfort, they would not respond that clearly shows they have been affected. If they are affected, they must not be that comfortable.

Example, I have seen many people in Nairaland that wear two faces, when I see this, I call them on it. It is better for them to hear it from me than for them not to hear it from so called friends or people who are afraid to tell them. Or, it is better for them to hear from me before someone tells them to their face and really embarrasses them.

925, I wasn't going to bring this up but sense you see it as okay to bring up something old, you have open the doors for me to bring up something much more interesting. I think your real problem with my approach is, I rattle the feathers of peoples so called comfort zone. For a while, you have been in Nairaland longer than I but that does not matter. I didn't like it when 925 created a thread which pretty much insulted Nigerian women, black women. He was asking them were they "stupid?" or were the just blind? something to that affect, not verbatim. Any way, he said that these women sit up here and try their best to be white and then they wonder why a black man just goes for the real deal, a white woman. Why settle for the fake white woman when you can get the real one? Is what he basically said in this topic. I was shocked! My impression was, how dare he, who does he thinks he is? He has a lot of damn nerve telling black women this shyt, especially with the position he is in. If he does not want to be questioned, he should not even touch that subject. How is he helping black women to love their blackness and be their self? To me for him to say what he said in such a condescending tone, that is a let down. The Irony of the whole thing is, we all know that 925 has a white wife, which really puts him in the situation to be questioned about his choices if he is going to sit up there and say what he was saying to those black women. What was he trying to justify? That was my feeling.

So, me being me of course, I asked him a question. I knew his response would be a vague one. He said something about being with the people you love. I asked him "925 was that your reason for getting you a white woman?" I said some other stuff but my main point was that question. Needless to say, he did not respond to my question. I think he did not like the fact that a woman had the nerve to put him on the spot. This goes to show you all, that if you begin to bump your gums with a tone that suggest that you have not analyzed your self, yet you analyze others, that will be one you. If I see something wrong, I am going to call you on it. I believe that is the problem 925 has with me.

I'm not trying to start something but we black people need to keep it real with each other, I am not here to help justify what we do to each other. If we would be honest with each other, CA's would not be lying to AA men and women to assist them in their citizenship, giving CA's a bad label. Also, AA's would not be feeling sorry for their self that they got duped, when all the signs were there. We are all to blame. I am not here to ease peoples consciousness. There are a lot of questions we all need to ask our self and we need to let our negative ego's go. That negative ego being, it is all about me and I will do what it takes to show that I am right. If your motive is to be true, you will admit your faults, not keep lying or convincing your self.

My creating that thread is got nothing to do with my family settings, you are now talking because things are relatively okay in nairaland now, when I started posting in nairaland things were totally different, and when I met my wife, Black women were not into the wanabe stuff, so this is not a mattar of choice like you said, and if you think I 've done something wrong?, you are going to have to think again, how about you talking about this till the end of time. These attitude was borne out of the fact that these African westerners are trying to make this statement: we are different from these people and we are better. the whole of Africans in Diaspora should take note of this and change this situation, cause thats that is genesis of the whole problems, if the African Americans would spend halve of the time they spend spreading their stereotype views of the Continental African in fostering unity, believe me things won't be like this today, I remember that Nigerians used to love African Americans to pieces before but is bad things are changing for the worse for some stupid worthless ego. The African American's has more capabilities of reaching out through the media but unfortunately they spend more of this time spreading stereotype views of the Continental Africans and this affects the way the African Americans treats a continental African in their mist therefore creating a very big gap between the two groups.
