PoliticsRe: Only Igbo Will Survive If Nigeria Breaks – Fayose by NINETOFIVE(m): 5:44am On Nov 21, 2016
sukkottt:
thats a very myopic view. ok lets see, the igbo man owns the market and the market employs 500 yoruba people. those 500 yoruba people will feed their families and build homes from the money they make from the market and the one igbo guy who owns it will just build one or two houses in the east with his own profit. so the combined money of the 500 workers and taxes to yoruba govt is more than the igbo man will make from owning the market

and lagos and abuja have the best houses in nigeria not igboland
The day you will travel to Igboland, you wil be bumdfounded. You will be surprised that almost every house is a mansion. Take away the official builds lagos and abuja would not see the back of Igboland. What you have in the East is mansions at an industrial level.

Which home is raped and abandoned to rot? I've no idea what you're talking about. Eastern Nigeria is among the most developed parts of Nigeria, with among the highest living standards. If you were in Sokoto or Borno then what will you do? Kill yourself? It's the people there that I wlll even understand if they say they want to secede.
You are being economical with the truth, Igboland is actuly raped and left to rot, but your are right by saying that igboland is among the most developed part of nigeria (albeit the most individualy modern built up place in nigeria).
All those things you saw on the ground are idividual efforts withouth federal presrnce what so ever.

seunfly: My friend don't play that kind of card here, even though what boko boyz are doing is not good and they are muslims but that does not mean all muslims are like that.
About that division thing, that is a big lie i have lived with muslims all my life and am currently living with one even though am a christain but as a Yoruba we are not religiouly divided except if as a muslim, u want ur uncle, sister, brother, inlaws and ur close relatives to die or be harmed. If anything happen it is because of the hospitility of Yoruba which give any body freedom with out any challenges.
NOTE: There is no dout that some peaple may be sympathetic to them as a muslim or for political reason but not like the north or because we hate each others as u have think or wish.
At least we do agree on something, that is a start, i would leave you to do the counting.

Eko Atlantic: Shut up omo ibo, did you read the nonsense you wrote before it was submitted? Mumu original
Why not do little research on how Yorubas elect leaders irrespective of the religion? Aside lagos, which of the SW states hasn't been governed by leaders from either of the religion? Lagos own ain't even your business and omo ekos are not complaining. Awo-Christian, Mko Abiola-Muslim, ObJ-christian, Tinubu-Muslim...
How's this your headache? Go check the crime rate in your erosion ridden landlocked region before you preach epistle to people miles ahead of you.
You can not believe the extent an anger management class would help, non of your rants negate the fact that Yoruba elite base are of the Muslim stock which is understandable because they are the majority. yeah! blah blah blah Awo-Christian, Mko Abiola-Muslim, ObJ-christian, Tinubu-Muslim Fashola - muslim, Lateef Jakande- muslim.... you start to wonder who brought all these fine religious blend together and taught them all how to be kissing the the buttt of Hausa Fulani Muslims( which also does not negate my point that Yoruba Muslims has been playing dumb), OBJ Made it a do or die affair to rig in Yaradua, Let us not even talk about Awolowo.

Yeah! talking about who is miles ahead of who, you decide, even with all the execute power the presidency brings; not you the South Western Nigeria, not the Northern Nigeria could come up with the first Nigerian Indigenous Vehicle Manufacturing Company we did it in the East, that kind of stuff is over your heads, cause you lack the brain power to carry out that type of project.
There is no division here and there can't be. Come to think of it, is boko haram a religious or political issue? It is purely political and nothing religious about it. Politicians are the one behind it and using it to intimidate and divide people for political gain but give it a religious colour.
If you actually believe that Bokoharam is not religious related movement then you could almost believe anything, the fundamental nucleus of Bokoharam is religion, although it is used some tines as a political machinery, why would that not be when Muslin religion is the most political conscious religion ever known to man, in fact Muslin religion and draconian political reasoning can not be separated 'cause they are one and the same, could we right now stop the coloring 'cause the picture is blurring out.

In Yorubaland, we have muslims and xtians in the same nuclear family - husband muslim and wife xtian with their children split between the two religions in some cases.

Now tell me, the husband will plant a bomb or work with boko haram (or whatever name you give it) to bomb the church his wife and probably children attend?

Or you are going to organise to bomb the church your uncle or cousing attend?
There is an element of halve truth in this, Chritianity is highly over rated in Yoruba land, statistically you can only get about 20% percent yoruba Christians and there is these 15% that would either go to the church or to the mosque in company of their friends depending on what is obtainable at that particular time, could be Christmas, could be id el fitri or id el kabbar etc, these are classical example of people who are stocked in the middle and at the same time people refereed to when people say the Yoruba are religious tolerant. There is another 10% who are the Aborishas {Native Religion), the rest 55% are Muslims' so all you are trying say above can not be said to be a common occurrence in Yoruba, your statement above reprents a very tiny minority and at such negligible. almost every one I grew up with is either Fatai, Jimoh, Ganiyu , Lateef etc.

Man, it is really naive and crude to think that someone here will be carrying bombs around. Even the bombing in the north are most carried out by non nigerians from chad and niger republic. Policians are using foreigners to intimidate their people and use the money looted form our treasury to sponsor terrorism across the land. But when they come to south west, I am sure whoever is behind this evil will be revealed.
Can you tell me the differences between the genetic make up of a chadian or a guy from Niger Republic and an average Hausa Fulani which will impede his (Hausa Fulani)carrying out the Jihad, you could chose not to be smart but don't try to infect people with stupidity, i mean that in the most bumble way possible.
PoliticsRe: OPC Will Defend Yorubaland From Boko-Haram by NINETOFIVE(m): 10:49am On Mar 24, 2013
OsunOriginal: Shut up your ignorant mouth. Those who are opposed to amnesty are the real trouble makers who to hope benefit from the crisis and a divided Nigerian populace.

What is wrong in declaring amnesty if that will bring to the public the faces behind boko haram (or what do they call it)? If this will stop bombing of innocent Nigerians, why should a sane person say no to it especially when the same imbe. has no other solution to the problem.

If federal government will not give amnesty to boko haram because they belief they are ghosts, what other solution do they have? They have to tell us this, otherwise some of us will begin to think the government is benefiting or plans to benefit from this crisis and may even be the one covertly behind it.

Now that is clear that GEJ will lose south west come 2015 no matter what, they want to bring boko haram here to intimidate and divide us. This will not work - evil will not take over south west.
There is a need to smarten up, You are not making sense at all, just the same way the former leader of Alqaeda Osama bin Laden posted video messages before he met his well deserved end is the same way the leader of Boko haram Abubakar Shekau is from time to time posting video messages, so pray tell should America have given given Alqaeda amnesty? guest Not. No rational mind would support giving a terrorist group amnesty, some of you You guys should be ashamed of yourselves sometimes, but no you are not cut out for smart thinking.

One would be surprised of this new development, judging by how the Yorubas always try to defend and align themselves with the Hausa Fulani hegemony. The Christian Yorubas has been dumb all these while, they agree to every things their elites { who happened to be predominantly Muslins and takes most of their decisions based on these very premise} say. The Bokoharam can not infiltrate the South west without the involvement of the South Western Muslims, believe me You guys would never know how divided you are religiously is only a mater of time.

ts very pathetic i tell ya; especially, as you said, coming from people whom have travelled out of the country and you think they are the ones to eschew vices of hatred, bias and intolerance. If their host country shows the exact type of behavior to them, they wont know its the same evil that they have perpetrated; how will they know, tribalism does blind people, even strips them of reason and morality. How can you think that an act is wrong, but if its against someone from a different tribe whom you cant stand, then such act all of a sudden doesnt appear wrong anymore.
As Stevie Wonder sang, heaven help us all.
Believe me I understand where you are coming from, these is why I stopped posting on nairaKKKland some times I wonder how Seun the owner of nairaKKKland sleeps, infact all this racism is gotten to the borderline . How unintelligent can people get killing themselves over things they don't have any control over{ethnicity}. I've been reading all this drivel for three years from both sides, man! black people are actually phucking wicked. when i was attacked in Russia what that gave hope is this thought that our people are not as bad, a thought process I've long changed. "If some of these people on Nairaland had nose they would sniff utaba". What is smart in nurturing a "Ruwanda factor" before our very eyes, I tell you what? is rather unfortunate.

During this BH crisis, can someone give an estimate of the number of "southerners" and "northerners" killed? I bet you the number of "northerners" killed is more than double the number of "southerners". These are people killing Nigerians not minding whether they are from the north or south.
Why are you telling us about the northerners that were killed, Bokoharam are northerners too, you might as well stop the killings entirely, why you gworo shewers are not taking responsibility of your actions is because our usual sellout neighbours find these murderous behaviour entertaining while innocent people die, make no mistake there would be a day of reckoning.

ou guys forget all these things. The real enemy is out there,,,the greed, selfishness and corruption that has brought us here.

well on a closing note for the night,

I am a supporter of the acronym TEAM (Together, Each Achieves More). Regardless of our backgrounds, I think that we all have something to bring to the table. As long as we are willing to set aside our differences, our hurts especially the past (a very crippling stronghold) and are all willing to make sacrifices and doing the right thing. If one region could do it better than the other we would not be where we are today (we should have been much better off). But since we are all here, we are all in this mess together.

Please lay aside your arguments and use the energy to think how we can develop Nigeria.

Cheers!!
What a very retrogressive team it has been and always will be, so forget about all the sudden sweet talk no can do.

Big Shame On Those That Voted For Goodluck; YES INDEED.
@ Topic, I completely agree with you.
And this is why folks like me refuse to have any beef with Jonathan, cos he did not put himself there. Hence, I find nothing wrong with the dude. But the pin heads that got him there can die and go straight to hell. What a bunch of hopeless f00ls, and the biggest problem this country is up against.
How can you vote for an empty sack?
And the sad part of the whole show is, many of these same knuckle heads are now out there crying like a bunch of duped prost1tutes. What exactly were you expecting to come out of an empty sack? Bunch of lunatics!

In order to have a strong focused leader, we must first have sensible or prudent followers. But Nigerians mostly happen to be the most senseless (bullish) group of people on the face of the planet; they are the bedrock of their anguish.
You put him there, now deal with the consequence; and FYI, this is just the beginning, many more to come.

How long exactly is it going to take Nigerians to get it right?
I'm very upset with Nigerians and absolutely not with PRESIDENT Jonathan.
What an Irony, Nigerians are bullish, read all you wrote, you could say all you said without all the profanity, if there is heaven no Yoruba would smel itl , you lot curse a lot , your heart is wicked, some of us are actually disgusted with way guys talk.
