PoliticsRe: All Eastern Nigerians, In Honor Of Ojukwu Stay Off Nairaland On February 3rd by NINETOFIVE(m): 12:47pm On Jan 13, 2012
Onlytruth:
On February 3rd, 2012, an icon and war time leader of  Eastern Nigeria, Dim Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, will be interred in his home town of Nnewi in Anambra State. On that day, Ndigbo worldwide have been charged (by MASSOB) to observe a stay at home wherever they reside worldwide.

Nairalanders of Eastern Nigeria extraction should, as a mark of respect, stay away from Nairaland on that day. This is not compulsive by any means. It is just a mark of respect and honor to a man who deserves our respect and honor. For Ndigbo, this "stay at home" should enable us to thoroughly reflect on our situation in Nigeria, and avail us the opportunity to REALLY THINK about the way out of our entrapment in the Nigerian nation.
I used the term entrapment, because since the war ended on a no victor no vanquished basis, there has been very little evidence to show that we have been fully accepted as Nigerians.

Our political and economic marginalization have approached egregious proportions, and the cries of our people constantly murdered in the Nigerian experiment renders the heavens! Our fathers fought to extract some dignity for us, and we revel in that dignity today, in the face of constant taunts and mockery by heartless folks. I don't really pay much attention to our mockers and taunters, because, frankly they owe us nothing. The debt is owed to HUMANITY and it will be paid. What we need to do is stay at home and cry to our God, the Great Yahweh, to strengthen our hands, to empower us to change our situation. There is a limit to talk. Silence is powerful too. February 3rd is a day of silence folks! cool
Let's do it! cool cool

Here I stand.

Signed,

Onlytruth, Ndu di n'eziokwu 1 of Igboland, Eze Ndigbo Nairaland.  cool cool cool

I totally agree with all the bolded. ENCLAVE it is folks!
If we have 4 million Igbos in Northern Nigeria, I wonder why we can't raise a 500,000 man army there to defend ourselves if and when the jungle matures. What are all the people there doing if they cannot fight and defend themselves there? They should relocate if they can't fight there. I support the idea of funding their return too.
If only we have real leaders in Igboland. Well, time will tell.
please my People as we know the Eastern Nigerians generally supports GEJ, but as I can see is either he likes the killings of the Igbos in the North or he is just  too scared to deal with these issue which surmounts to incompetence, it pains my heart to say this, am thinking the very effective strategy to carry out now while we plan underground for what really to do is to make live unbearable for our eastern Governors with unending series of protests, instructing them to go and demand for autonomy from the center Government so that we can protect the life and property of our people.

You corwardly Arne! If you are not a stinking gogoro-drinking bastard, dumb-Bottom and a liar, you should know that we Northern Muslims do not hate Christians, be they Northern or Southern Christians; even outsiders are becoming increasingly aware that the recurring and running battles between us and you (Beroms and other Northern Christians) are not religious conflicts.

If "a high %" of us are 'terrorists' as you stupidly claimed, and there are over 40 millions of us, then how many terrorists would there be in Nigeria? Even at 5% of us being 'terrorists', that would be two (2) million terrorists carrying out or planning to carry out terrorist attacks!

And if we just hate ordinary Christians just for nothing but for being Christians as your cursed lying mouth blabbers, why would there be MILLIONS of Southern Christians STILL living and doing going about their businesses, with such very intensive investments, all other the NW Muslim cities, like Kano, Sokoto, Bauchi, Kaduna, Maiduguri (prior to BH), etc?

You see how ignorant people are.

For starters, just because one is a Northerner doesnt neccesarily mean that one is a muslim, we have Northern Christians and Hausa christians as well, so what about them? Huh? Even Kaduna state and Borno(yes, Borno) are  diverse states that has both muslim and christians as indigene of those states.

@OP: you need to check your facts before you come up with an ethnicity bullshit agenda, this is what happens when people dont read History and allow themselves to be brainwashed by selfish politicians who are in it for money. What makes you think those ones that are fighting for biafra are genuinely interested in you people? They just want biafra so that they can chop more money and leave you people in poverty

Foreign AffairsRe: Julius Malema Called A Bbc Reporter A "Bastar..." by NINETOFIVE(m): 9:14am On Apr 10, 2010
Omolulu:
My friend this is part of the problem, must you insult and abuse before you make a point? i think you are rather been blinded by the fact that a white man is involved that is why you are ranting like one who has just been castrated,
I don't understand you is like you are criticizing the guy for being rude, but at the same time rude and pretty mean to the guy

you should look at other apartheid fighters like Mandela and Mbeki and compare the way they dealt with issues with your fellow illiterate Malema
Is not automatic that any body that has anything to do with standing up against apartheid must pursue such endeavor in the same manner that Mandela went about it, is preposterous to even assume that should be the case, people are kind of unique, is very clear that the way Malema acted was based on what he had at the back of his mind for a very long time. You have a God given right to be simplistic about the whole issue but any smart deep thinker would immediately see that politicians like Malema in South Africa would serve the purpose of keeping the right wingers in check.

this is the problem of Malema and other short sighted people like you who claim to be oppressed and turn out worse than their oppressors.
Smarten up, would you? does your oppressor have any particular right to even be your oppressor in the first place?

Well Id rather be sensibly courageous and respected for it than to be stupidly brave without achieving the desired result, so far the only thing achieved was that he shouted at a white man, he should probably be given a trophy for that abi? dunce. You should look at the second video and see the way the woman presented her issues to the extent that the white man as force to throw in his microphone and go off air, that is what you should admire and emulate and not some black man who wants to be worse than his oppressor, besides he has only proven that he is more of a coward than other black men fighting for the same cause with his response
please my dear friend don't try to sound naive, is pellucid that the way the lady and the man that was defending her in the second video conducted themselves, that the white man saw that as weakness which prompted his further behaving in a disrespectfull manner because he saw no threat what so ever, you are dealing with a man that has no conscience, some times you really need to stand your ground firmly, believe me you do.

What Malema did is like a walk in the part to what Jyriynovsky of Russia do every day.
HealthRe: Acid Rain Forecast In Parts Of Nigeria by NINETOFIVE(m): 8:07am On Mar 22, 2010
Our climate and weather conditions has really changed. Global warming everywhere, earthquakes of great magnitudes in many places, diseases and ailments with no cure, e.t.c.

Just yesterday, Sunday 21-03-2010, in the eastern region and environs (around 10a.m. in the morning) the weather was so calm, the sun was not scorching but when you look at it, it has the colour of the moon and you cannot really gaze at it.Not long afterwards, a bit of harmattan set in. Can anyone explain the brief harmattan experienced yesterday (march ending) when we should expecting the rains? I was in Owerri and P.H. yesterday.

The bottomline then is that our weather has become unpredictable. Whatever you hear, you had better take the necessary precautions before arguing and doubting.
From what you explained above, it simply means that the sunshine in some parts of the country would with time get lighter and lighter and lose the orangeness and look more like the light from florescent  lamp, in a not shell white light and would spread to other 'parts of  the country signaling a new weather pattern, this weather pattern would grow more unpredictable, it would get more cloudy, it might get very hot sometimes but at the same time it might get cooler than usual, with time the whole of west Africa and south African weather would become more temperate.
PoliticsRe: Why Is The Rich Southern Nigeria Politically Surbordinates To The Poor North? by NINETOFIVE(m): 12:26pm On Feb 24, 2010
olabukola:
This will be the biggest mistake of the century. Their is nothing like South Nigeria and it won't work. You can have a workable Northern Nigeria but not south. Putting Igbo, Yoruba and Ijaw together. Another Nigeria in the making. We South(Not East) lost the war and we have to leave with it. That is how the North see it and that is fact.
I am surprised that there are people that are beginning to look at this things from a logical point of view, the fact remains that you can never join an outsider to fight your own house cause that would definitely hunt you later, you cant join a stranger to attack you own brother, you would win alright but the stranger and his brothers would from that moment have your ass in their hands, cause you don't have a brother now, the North only used the civil war to perfect the art of divide and rule, the victory of the war remains Northern victory cause in the South we are all bickering, we have a lot of bad blood flowing around so we cant function, we should all be ashamed in the South to even think that we are smarter than the Northerners cause we are not apparently.
PoliticsRe: What Igbos Need Most. We Don't Need Biafra by NINETOFIVE(m): 12:38pm On Nov 19, 2009
Katsumoto:
So after you have succeeded in forming your country, Biafra, you want to continue to live and trade in Nigeria - the North and South-west. Why do you think such an arrangement will work?
The point he is trying to drive home is that the correlation between owning a property in a particular part of the country and loosing the right for self determination does not remotely exist although it might be right to say that a mentally challenged person would find  this difficult to understand.

why do you think that the northerners will not continue their barbaric attacks?
After this statement there was a need for you to have a cogent reason to even continue this argument, cause it completely murdered your argument, is reasonably impossible for you not to notice it.

Do you not think it makes better sense to just relocate from the north?
should he relocate  now or after achieving a separate country?

Why do you think that after several years of living in Nigeria, Nigerians can not seize your assets one day and ask you to leave. Oh I get it, you want to eat your cake and have it.
Desuetude yourself of preposterous motor park reasoning, though am not trying to deny the fact that some countries do come up with unfriendly legislation of which the people concerned would have the choice of riding out the storm or sell and move on, but this does not apply on this particular case, the guy you are talking with is still a Nigerian, when that time comes if anybody needs your advice, you would be contacted for such a service, for now all that is required of you is simple rudimentary application of common sense.

Comparing Nigerians living in the UK to Biafrans living in Nigeria is like comparing apples and oranges. For one, the historical antecedents in both scenarios are different. Nigerians living in the UK still live as second class citizens. They still face all kinds of implicit and explicit racial prejudice.
How do you come about your theory of apples and oranges, is all about semantics, the historical antecedents in both situation could be interpreted in the same light depending on who is carrying out the interpretation. People of different pigmentation do face a lot of prejudices in the UK but the dynamics with which they would try to repel or counter such behavior in most cases is equilibrium to their sense of belonging in the UK which they derive from how legal they are in the said country. If you are a Nigerian in the UK and you are overwhelmed by the rate of prejudices in the UK, most people received some warmth from the fact that they would eventually leave the UK for Nigeria one day, and at such they start to seriously consider that and  their further actions would be based on that line of thought, I hope you know what i mean?.

If Biafrans feel unwelcomed in the North and South-west, why not just stay in the east?
What you are proposing is that every one should stay in their region since they have 100 percent probability of not been mistreated in their region, you are right on the money there and I do agree with you 100 percent, but please do me only one favour, come up with one reason why such an unworkable country should continue to exist, cause am at the brink of concluding from what i've seen so far that application of logic's is not your strong point.

Its not by force to stay in Kano, Kaduna, or lagos.
Damn right! is not by force to stay in Kano, is not by force to stay in Kaduna, is not by force to stay in Lagos, is not by force to be in the same country, please pray tell is it?

Yet again you display your stunted IQ for all to see. Who is living in denial? All we want is a chance for the wounds of the past to heal, not to have a sore thrust in our faces even when many of us were not even alive to see this happen. It's good to remember the sins of the past and it's good to keep such in mind to ensure that that does not happen again. But that's as far as it goes. Do you see the Jews whipping out holocaust images at every UN meeting or press briefing?
The lesson the Jews took from the Holocaust was to do everything in their power to ensure the safety and survival of their people. Had the Jews been like you and the OP, the Jews would perennially hate and blame ALL Germans.
Is because of azzholes like you that reason from your butthole that discouraged me from posting on Nairaland, you are clearly a dumb waste of space, if you don't know what to say just shot your phucking trap, go to Israel they recently opened a museum where they displayed all the images of holocaust no matter how graphic they are, the museum is called the holocaust museum. The Russians show German atrocities towards them during the second world war for the whole of month of may every year, atleast if you want to comment on something make sure you 've got a brain.
PoliticsRe: Lagos “deports” 160 Northern Beggers by NINETOFIVE(m): 8:57am On Aug 24, 2009
First, We are not citizens of a country.

We are citizens of diverse nations reluctantly tied together in an unwanted and despised unification
The grey area you failed to see is the Ironic part of the whole issue, the western Nigeria has always antagonized any force against the unwanted and despised unification which renders the issue at hand hypocritic, is always good to be careful of what you ask for, of course we are citizens of a country.
PoliticsRe: Lagos “deports” 160 Northern Beggers by NINETOFIVE(m): 8:35am On Aug 24, 2009
I doubt this will lead to ethnic clashes
Northerners are proud people when they feel attacked and are likely to respond by acting to ensure these people have catered for so they (northerners) are not embarassed like this in future.

If it happened in the East, it might have been trouble but it happened in the West.
What a crass misrepresentation of fact or an intention to delude oneself, is either this kind of mind set is inspired by borderline naiveness, some element of carelessness or a desire to live in complete denial, is not rocket science that Nigeria has gotten to the point of every man to his tent, if the fact that this issue happened in the Western region is the guarantee you have for the North not to reciprocate, then I fail to see anything smart about this type of thought process, in fact this whole idea in its totality is very delusional to me, and this is putting it mildly.

I see a trend emerging where Fashola becomes another Awolowo, that would be seen as a demigod in the western region and would be loathed in the North, you can't really undo things like this, I've always known the guy has some despotic tendencies. Deporting people from other region out of your region no matter their social status does not show the spirit of one Nigeria, going by the fact that western Nigeria sings one Nigeria as a song, believe me the trickle down effect of this would be cumbersome, you can not continue to pie and convince people is raining.

All those idiot videos they used Final Cut 0.01 or Adobe Premier Pro 0.005 to manipulate. With the kind of software available today, that video would be torn apart and the truth revealed.

It's like FIFA coming to tell us that the Maradona HAND OF GOD video is lost so we can't use modern technology to analyse the goal.

The whole thing was a sham. NASA Entertainment Limited. The fools I pity are the Europeans that saw the virtual EFX-ed mars rover videos. Britain convinced the whole of Europe to invest billions of Euros of their hard earned taxpayers money to launch one big mass of scrap metal into space believing it would get to Mars. That was the story of the Beagle 2. Not even the Cherubs and Seraphs know where that thing is till today.

When they saw that they had been deceived by the British who convinced them with several Hollywood-style NASA home videos, they went ahead to lie to their citizens that the money lost wasn't much. Just $40 million. If really to send a Mars craft out can be as cheap as that, then even Mali would have sent out a rover to Saturn.

No be only moon dem go. Dem for kuku go star. Ordinary Atlantis wey dey earth here, dem never fit go, na moon.

Abi nor be so dem dey see UFO all over the place? Only dem. Mumu people. Pay betta tax happily so that NASA Entertainment Limited and House of Macro go shoot another home video for una at the cost of $300 billion.
They also had to flush a lot of billions of Euro in the toilet to recreate the big bang theory, which turned out a big joke.
PoliticsRe: Man Never Landed On The Moon by NINETOFIVE(m): 11:38pm On Aug 15, 2009

1. The Apollo moon programme was terminated due to spiraling costs and safety issues. At that time the USA had flown several successful moon landings, and there was nothing left to prove, and precious little to gain.
You can almost defend anything, your argument about cost and safety is gloomy, because if they could achieve success with limited technology in those days, then it would have been a lot cheaper and safer with more sophisticated and relatively cheaper technology today, saying that they would gain a little by exploring a whole planet is an attempt to delude your self.

2. Russia was not 'far ahead' in space technology at that time. First to start, yes, but they soon started losing ground to the Americans. Did Russia ever come out to say the moon landings were technically impossible?
The Russians has always disputed moon landing, which is the same as saying that it was technically impossible as of the time.

3. The rockets used to send the Apollo craft into orbit long ago are outdated. NASA is working on a new generation of rocket boosters to carry the next wave into space. If you could be arsed to do some study you'd have known this by now.
If the entire space travel was hindered then you would have had an argument, but since then NASA has been carrying out successful mission to the space. For 40 years Nasa has not gone back to the moon because they 've never been there in the first place, since there is no atmosphere in the moon, all the rockets and crafts that man could come up with can not take off from the moon even if they would land there by free fall.
